So, we weren't members here, because we bank with our longtime bank in another state we used to live in. But the people working here are SO NICE. We lived in the building directly behind this bank and would come over to use them for things like notary services, and to ask if we could take up a part of their parking lot for a few hours when moving in and moving out. And they are just always SO DARN NICE and accommodating. No matter who you're talking to there, they're just so lovely.

Was with this credit union when it was IBM federal credit union in 1980. It's a POS now. Requested a debt card because mine had expired and no new had been sent. Walk in was told some b.s. about computer problems. They told me to write down my account number on a yellow sticky pad. Then I told teller to withdraw all my money except the member fee. I only use them to cash in my loose coins now. Went in today and was told they didn't have a machine anymore as I was looking at it. Then the excuse was it didn't work. No problem is your C.U. doesn't work. Worthless. This is a new edit and review. After a one star review I was contacted by Marcus, the bank manager. He wanted specifics of the problems and explained what he was trying to do to improve the banking experience and I was pleased that he truly wanted my feed back. He tried for two days to get a hold of me. I appreciate his concern and I've changed my rating because of him.

My experiences with the agents at Amplify is an overall satisfying one. Whether my issue is simple or complex - it always gets resolved. I have been a member since 1981 and have been a satisfied customer since I began banking here. I look forward to many more years with Amplify.

I went into Amplify Credit Union on 10 May to close my mother's account. She passed on April 23, 2023. This was the 4th trip to an Amplify to try to get this done. Each time I went in, I was told something different about what was needed to close the account. On the 3rd time in, I was told that they needed the Death Certificate and the Will. On 10 May I was told by Austin Hazelwood (personal banker) that they needed the Death Certificate and Letters Testamentary. I told him that I was not probating the Will (not required to with estate less than $75,000) and was told that I just needed the Death Certificate and the Will. I was then told that I needed to complete an Affidavit of Heirship (which I did). I was told then by Mr. Hazelwood that they would then close the account and provide me with a check/close the account. I sat and waited for at least 30 minutes. Mr. Hazelwood then received messages and information from Kelly (last name unknown) and Heather (last name unknown) at a location called "Retail Ops" that although they had made an exception to me having to have the Letters of Testamentary (not required by TX law or the Estate Code), I now needed to provide my sibling's addresses because they now were going to divide up the balance in my mom's account between myself and my siblings. I asked why they were doing that/what this was based on. At first the response was "Heather said." I asked Branden Conner (manager) for a copy of anything that stated this and he printed out a list that Heather has sent to him (not from any Amplify policy or written guidance). I was then told that these were Amplify's "general rules" and I could look them up on line (couldn't find). This has been an awful and cruel experience dealing with the employees of Amplify that do not know what they are doing and are seemingly making up steps to close my mom's account as we go. I was at this Amplify location this time for approximately 1.5 hours. No one once asked to see my mom's Will or the Power of Attorney. My mom's account is still open.

have an insurance check for 5 weeks and still cannot get it endorsed and all repairs made literally in 2023, its for rug cleaning and duct cleaning, and apparently Amplify requires to be on it. i have called 5 times and try and get info to get endorsed and best they can say if send the check to some po box and i will somehow magically get it back? they do not know the process and apparently you cannot speak to a mortgage person there either did 3 sperate emails to
[email protected] as their website suggests, the person who answers phone doesn't know about this so I am unsure if it is even monitored. No replys ever. I am apparently stuck driving 300 miles to Austin to try and do in person

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I applied thinking it was a short term loan and was given thr run around when I advised I was no longer interested. I signed the cancelation agreement and they still charged me $20! Unacceptable

I have been at Amplify for years and it has been good for my business. My problem now is that their customer service is terrible. I recently had fraud on my business card so I had to obtain a new card. I went into the Pond Springs branch because the one in Cedar Park has been closed and they will not reopen due to (Covid)...really. Anyway I went inside and sat forever just to see somebody to get a new card. Other customers are clearly irritated by the lack of service. It's sad that such a good credit Union has such terrible service. You have employees laughing inside offices while members cannot get service. Looks like this place is run by children. So irritated right now. Hopefully I will get my new debit card sometime today do I can get to work. As a long time member, I am really disappointed with my service experience at Amplify Pond Springd.

One of the worst credit unions/banks. Horrible and when they made mistake in charging you fee, it is impossible to get your money back - even when it is clearly a mistake by them.

Recently I withdrew quite a large amount of cash. The guy that helped me told me the count was certified and I did not need to count. I explained that he could use the automatic counter as long as I could watch. He was not happy. Guess what, he had included $1800 more than I requested. Several bad experiences over the last 10 years. Seems like when you hire a good person they do not stay very long.

I have zero complaints, the mobile banking is super convenient, the people on the phone and in the branches are helpful and always answer quickly, and they have a pretty good interest rate and perks too

I had fraud on my account and was not looking forward to the headache that comes with it. The team at my Amplify branch on Pond Springs made it SO much easier to deal with. We had the entire problem fixed in 1 day! I have been banking with them for 13 years and look forward to at least 13 more!

amplify does not care about you. choose another bank. I had some problems with the autopay when they were fixing their loan payments systems so I ended up with some late hits on my credit. instead of making a courtesy and taking those late payments off my credit, they went hard line. now the problem is, any financial institution that you choose should be there to help you succeed, but not amplify. they just keep proving they only care about your money, not your well-being. you have a choice in who you bank with, don't choose them. even the devil wellsfargo will treat you better.

Absolute worst bank ATM ever! DO NOT USE THE ATM! This morning I went to pull $200 in cash and literally received $200 in all $5 dollar filthy bills. How is this even possible?! On top of it, I paid their ATM fee. We now have to pay our baby sitter $200 in $5 bills, thanks a lot Amplify. This was the Pond Springs location Btw so beware!

My how Amplify has fallen. A decade ago, it was by far the best credit union around and I would have given 5 stars. Customer service has taken a nosedive, and policies that are no longer in the best interest of the members. Their recurring transaction/bill pay system is faulty, and if the system is responsible for a late payment, this "credit union" ensures that YOU are stuck with the hit to your credit score...one star is being too nice.
