Overall great experience. Quick process getting car. Speakers sounded blown when trying to listen to radio, but that was the only issue. Car was great and looked nice.

Alamo has already been the go to rental car place to go to for our family. We have always been taken care of and the staff are always so nice. Used other rental car services nothing compares to Alamo.

Service was prompt at pick up and return at Austin airport.Only negative is, it is quite a walk from baggage to car rental…no shuttles to speak of!

Fast and efficient best describes the service. Although no car was available when we arrived, we were quickly given an acceptable alternate. A big shout out to Eric who made the car return a breeze.

I had a clean car!! and I didn't have to worry about the toll roads around Austin. The Alamo people were very nice and kind. Thank you for the good TX experience.

Service at Austin airport has surpassed pre-pandemic levels. They were fully staffed. Received car within moments of arriving. My luggage was placed in the car for me and I was given clear instructions on how to exit the parking area. The RAV4 was spotless, having only 4000 miles on the odometer. Returning the car was equally as impressive. Fully staffed and taken care of immediately as I pulled into the parking area. Thanks Alamo for putting Customer Service back on the map!

The rental was great except for pick up on arrival at the airport. We walked the great distance to the far opposite side of the parking garage where the rental counters were and there was nobody at the Alamo counter. Suddenly a young man came running up small bag in hand, obviously late for work, apologized and checked us in. He then sent us down to the second floor to the National Car Rental booth. We got there and there was nobody there. I left my wife with our luggage and I wandered all around the garage looking for someone and eventually found a young Man Who apparently was covering several rental companies all over the floor. By this time I was tired from traveling all day, irritated from being sent from pillar to post always to find no attendant Eventually he did put us in our car and we got on our way and the rest of the rental and return was uneventful. Overall I’m not sure I would recommend renting a car at Austin airport As the Rental counters are very far from the terminal and based on my experience totally disorganized and improperly attended by staff. By the way, this was not late at night but just before 8 PM a prime arrival time most airports

Zero stars would be more appropriate. The agent was rude, the car needed an oil change and we were billed for 5 extra days because the agents at the rental return were not able to print out a receipt. Good thing we took a picture with a time stamp and location, although 2 calls to the hotline have still not resulted in a correction of the bill. Conclusion: They are rude, incompetent, and the cars are not well maintained.

After our experience last night, I must post this review for Alamo. My family and I flew to Austin, for a Christmas retreat in Fredericksburg, TX. Rental car arrangements had been set (so we thought), and we were to pick up our pre-paid rental from Hertz. However, when we went to get our rental, they required and unsecured credit card in the name of the person with the reservation. This is not terribly uncommon, but since everything was pre-arranged, we didn't think about it. And Hertz denied us the rental. So, stranded in Austin I went to Alamo, where we met Daniel, a gentleman who is clearly at the top of his game with customer service and a true master of his craft. I asked him, "hey, we're in a bind, does anybody rent cars without a credit card?" Instead of telling me how I was screwed, he asked the right questions to determine how he could help us. He asked "debit card?"I replied, "yes".He continues "return flight booked?"Again I reply "yes".He says "ok, go download the Alamo app, and come back and see me."(There was a decent line behind us, of customers with reservations)So I downloaded the app, and made a reservation, which by the way was incredibly easy. Went back to the counter to see Daniel, and he got us our rental. I thought my wife was going to cry, but she kept it together. After we finished, my wife said, "if we had $100 in cash right now it would be yours for helping us."Of all the things he could have said, his reply was, "oh no ma'am, helping you guys was the highlight of my night. Thank you for choosing Alamo, and have a great Christmas."So, we'll be using Alamo/National every time now.Daniel in Austin is the absolute BEST.

TLDR: Was given a dirty car with a razor blade on the back seat with some white substance on the blade and the back seat.Reserved a luxury vehicle, my flight arrived a few minutes early Alamo was able to accommodate my pickup instead of having to wait 15-20 minutes. We were given three choices an suv (which we had not asked for and was dirty), a Chrysler where the driver seat was broken and my husband didn’t fit in so that left us with our only choice a Volvo that was also dirty. After leaving the airport within 10 minutes I looked at the back seat and notice there was a razor blade with a white substance. I returned to the airport, the person who greeted us was very dismissive of there being a razor blade on the back seat. I was able to get into a new car and Alamo did discount our rental. This was my second back to back disappointment with Alamo. Pictures of razor blade in dirty car included.

The service was wonderful, the ease of picking up the car and using CarPlay was awesome. Returning the vehicle's only hitch was finding the correct level in the garage. Signs would be very useful as driving in an unknown airport we missed the ramp and had to circle around. Otherwise every thing else was easy.
