First time there for my registered dog having gut problems. Dr. prescribed a medication to control the problems she had. A very good experience with the doctor and staff. Took my girl to Athens Hospital and was diagnosed with a small intestine being damaged. Surgery went well, and I am waiting for more post pardom results. I can't down this doctor for trying his best when a second opinion always counts elsewhere.

Fabulous customer service! We were not made to wait any longer then our appointment was scheduled for! They were able to get my dog in for an appointment the next day when I called for the appointment! && we love both Dr. Richardsons, very professional!

I can not express enough my gratitude at how this office went out of their way to get our dog seen and treated. We travel full time and he fell ill while staying in Athens. They were short staffed the day before the 4th of July, but they made room for us.
We were treated kindly, efficiently, and professionally. The owner saw our dog and he was a great comfort to us.
On top of that, their pricing was literally 1/2 of what we would have paid for the same in Orlando.
I recommend this office highly based on our experience today.

I refuse to take my dogs to anyone else besides Dr. RICHARDSON. HE IS AN AMAZING VETERINARIAN! My dogs love him so much and he is very thorough and isn't expensive compared to any of the bets that I have ever used in over 30 years!

Nothing but good things to say about the staff and Vet. My frenchie got into a fight the night before with my other frenchie and since had become more lethargic, not wanting to eat or drink water and kept randomly making noises like in pain with certain movements. Something was definitely causing him pain but we didn't know what it was or what to do. We examined him and all he had was a superficial scratch. The next morning we decided to take him to the Vet hospital, we were out of town and read good reviews here. We were received in a very friendly manner and were taken care of very quickly, the Doc examined my fur baby and prescribed some meds after determining he might just be sore since he’s a bit older. Got home and gave meds as instructed and this little guy revived. So grateful for all of them!

Have gotten cats spayed here before they were nice with her. However, when I took my other cat, there suffering from swelling on the left side of his sinuses, they were less than helpful. First visit, we explained what our cat was suffering from. The Dr took a sample from our cats and told us it was NOT cancer... fast forward two months after frequent trips back and forth to this vet for shots every two weeks for our cats swelling. (Price anywhere from $50-$100+) our last visit was a horrible experience, not only did the Vet take another sample from my cats nose so aggressively and put the swab so far up his nose that his nose started bleeding badly but he then comes back and informs me that "He has cancer. Sorry, there is nothing else I can do." I was shocked. Why didn't you see that on the first test??? When the swelling was at its worst. But no, he led us to believe our cat had an autoimmune disease for months. Spending hundreds of dollars getting him these shots we believe would put him into remission. Not only did he lay this shocking news on me but when I asked if we could at least giving him the shots to at least keep the swelling down to keep him comfortable he once again said there was nothing he could do because it would probably become immune to the steroids. He then started talking about when I could put my cat down. Stating, "we could do it today if you wanted." At one time. Then he quickly changed his tune and then said, "But as long as he's happy to see you when you get home, I think that can wait. Its upto you. " And then had the lady helping him get me tissues. So I left this vet and immediately made an appointment with another vet in town to get a second opinion. That vet we saw the next day was extremely friendly and compassionate. She took X-rays and ran some other tests to check and see if it was actually cancer. Unfortunately, she showed me the results of the X-ray and confirmed the cancer diagnosis and the damage it had already done to my cat. She sataed she would do everything she could to keep him as comfortable as possible with steroids and pain medications. If that stopped giving him relief, she would adjust the medications so he can stay with us comfortablely for longer. This display of compassion is exactly what I needed, and I will keep going to this veterinarian because she treated me and my animal with respect and a kind heart.Overall, I would not suggest this veterinarian for cats or small animals. The vet I experienced lacked the compassion needed for this line of work. These animals are a huge part of our lives, and they need to be treated as such.
