Excellent service – we went to Carlton Lindsay Furniture Gallery in Athens, Texas to purchase a headboard and frame for our mattress. It was a perfect fit. Carelton really knows his furniture. All I can say is WOW what a great place to buy great Quality furniture! Beautiful long lasting real furniture not the junk you buy at other places and Carlton is a great guy he goes over and beyond wonderful customer service. You can’t find customer service like this in big cities and the furniture isn’t half the quality. Thankful to have Carlton Lindsey Furniture in Athens Tx. If he doesn’t have what your looking for he will find it for you. So don’t forget to shop local ? I promise you won’t regret it!

Just bought my second mattress and frame from Carlton. Unlike other furniture stores in town, not only will he deliver, but he'll haul away your old mattress and box springs. As a bonus, he's going to take my old king-size bed frame, display it in his store and sell it for me. Carlton knows furniture. Support your local businesses!!

While just looking up the store hours so to call when it's next open since I finally have figured a good time for another delivery I found the yelp reviews and thought I should add my 2 cents for a much deserved review which I seldom do, so my exception is for Carlton. Like the other reviews he's very helpful and no pressure which is a relief! First time I noticed something in the window and then kept ordering more and more for our new house since there were some great prices and am glad to have some newer pieces for our larger home. Not to mention a new TempurPedic adjustable dual king bed! Definitely a place to check prices and styles even though very unassuming from the outside.

I am new to the Athens area and went on line to look for local furniture stores. The closest stores that came up were on Tyler. But, a few days later I was just exploring the downtown square and there it was, a furniture store and I loved the couch in the window (that wasn't brown, lol). Went inside, met the owner and saw several beautiful all wood pieces at s very great price point and ordered some shelving units the owner assured me were well made and could be delivered within the week. Carlton out did himself! Talk about great service! You don't get this type of personalized, terrific service in most of the stores, even the elite stores, in DFW. AND the four bookshelves that I ordered that were delivered in days, by very personable and very professional men who took extra care to not bring in a spec of mud on a very wet day, are beautifully made. There is special detailing on the edges that I could not even see on the 1 inch picture. Granted, I was hesitant to buy for an itty bitty picture, but it was Carlton's assurance and guarantee to take it back if I did not like them that convinced me to go ahead. So very glad I did. This will be my go to store on all future furniture purchases, as long as he continues to be competitive on pricing and maintains his awesome SERVICE and credibility.

Excellent service - the guys who delivered our bed brought it in and put the bed together for us. Was polite enough to get out of the neighbors way when they needed to back out of there driveway. I would definitely recommend getting furniture there. You always have to be patient when getting the items.

Carlton Lindsey is a gentleman of honor. He worked with me to custom order a power loveseat as a service to myself; as I could not locate this item in the area.. When the order was delayed by the manufacturer, he then went to work for me again to help with the situation.

We have used Carlton Lindsey for years! When we purchased a lake house Carlton was one of the first people we met and he helped us furnish the living room, dining room as well as all the mattresses for the bedrooms. We have since used Carlton for other homes that we own in other cities. He carries very high end furniture that is custom ordered. He has always been honest in every business dealing and is the nicest person you will ever meet. His delivery team is excellent! Carlton is a pleasure to deal with and we highly recommend him.
