Water always out, today there were no water fountains toilets always out. AC doesn’t work especially in the racquetball room… avoid if you can.
Also, whoever is responding to these messages, it’s clear there’s problems so the snarky responses are the worst customer service.

I was a member for about a year and half…. And I admit I became frustrated with the issue with the pool heater not being fixed for 50+ ongoing days, who wouldn’t?? I made a couple comments about on their facebook page and they blocked me, which prevented me from seeing the ever changing schedule of classes so I would be unable to attend. When I contacted them, they refused to unblock me and the instructors claimed I “in person” complained to them which never even happened once…. And I showed only TWO complaints on the actual Cain Center facebook page…. And was claimed I was lying about that too. So really, now, it’s not so much the facility failed to do, but how they treated me as a member and then told me, and I have proof in a text of this, that if I was not satisfied I should cancel my membership. I have never been lied about before and basically unwanted at a place before until now. So with how I was treated, I handed Jeremy my membership card today and I won’t be back. I have the two screen shots of the two comments I made on the Cain center page…. It wasn’t anything bad…. And there was nothing ever said in person ever…. So I mean…. What can I do about that?? Jeremy took their words over mine so…. Anyway…. I cried all the way home. This is all so wrong. Also…. I have only been in person at the Cain center maybe twice in 2 months and that was for silver sneakers…. So how could I have in person said negative things “countless times”!!!??????? I mean when did the in person talks happen and what did I say???? Never happened!!!! Countless comments??? Show me…

This place is a joke. I walked in there at 5:30 on a Friday night and there are 10 people standing in the lobby. They’re not letting anybody in. They’re saying they’re over the amount of people they’re allowed to have in there. This is a joke of a place

The YMCA closes all the time. It makes me wonder why I pay full price for a place that closes so much. If it’s not closed then the pool is undergoing renovations or there are games going on in the gym so you can’t play basketball. The only thing here usually always available when the facility is open is the weight room. For the most part the staff is friendly but there are some that make you question whether they actually want to be there. It’s always clean and there are rarely equipment problems. This facilities main problem is availability. If I pay for a membership I expect it to be open and available. Unfortunately, I think this is the best gym in Athens.

The Athens Cain Center YMCA hosted a 2-day conference for our organization resulting in a positive and productive session for all in attendance. The atmosphere at the Cain Center is warm and inviting. Based on our experience we would highly recommend the Cain Center for all your meeting needs. A special thank you to Jeremy Bumgardner for his professionalism and coordination in facilitating our event. Working with Jeremy was a pleasurable experience in which he served as an exemplary host and always graciously accommodated our requests. His staff was friendly and attentive to our needs.
We look forward to being a loyal customer and working with the Cain Center for all our future offsite meeting needs.

I was shocked when I walked in! Fabulous weight room, absolutely incredible lap pool and lazy river to walk around and exercise in. Picnic grounds, small cafe, you should really come take a look!

We attended an event there. The staff was very polite and friendly. The building was clean and had plenty of tables and chairs. There was photo backdrop already available. The room rental rate was $95 per hour (they don't offer a daily rate). They have clean restrooms located near the room that we were using. There's an indoor swimming pool available for a small fee per person if you would like to use it. Overall it's a very nice facility. Thanks
