Just went to the pharmacy. Tech was courteous and helpful. The pharmacist was helpful as well. Transaction was as quick as possible, given I had 6 scripts. ?

I've been going to this store for 8 years, but will not be back. The products are the same, but in the last year or so the quality of the customers and staff has gone down considerably. Customers are rude, staff block aisles with online order carts, things are frequently out of stock, abandoned carts are everywhere both inside and outside the store, and the deli area is never attended (although there are always plenty of staff behind the counter chatting to each other and ignoring the customers). This part of Arlington is going downhill and sadly it seems like this store is following suit. I'll be going to the one in Colleyville from now on.

I love Tom Thumb! Even though their prices are a little higher than most all of the other grocery stores in town, the quality is amazing. The bakery department specifically has the best treats and cake, decorations, and all kinds of stuff! However, the person that decorates the cakes, so beautifully is not the same person That writes the names on the cakes. I always stop to get a cake from Tom Thumb for my coworkers when it’s someone’s birthday. I always get a beautifully decorated cake that tastes amazing. But when I ask to get someone’s name added, it’s always the person with horrible penmanship that writes it. They are clearly not cake decorators. I’m not sure why you would volunteer to write on a cake when you know you have ugly handwriting. There’s never a cursive option or even a different tip to match the decor.. It’s always some skinny string letter writing in all capital letters that just does not match the cake at all. It kind of ruins the whole thing because is why would you write like on this cake?! Outside of that, Tom Thumb is amazing. that’s why I gave this review five stars anyway.

Been calling the customer service department for the last 10 minutes trying to get confirmation that their money order machine is working. No one will pick up! Called the floral department and told them the issue and they simply transferred me to the customer service desk where no one is picking up. It’s 4pm and someone should be there. Awful!

I live close by this store, so I go there almost every day. Staff super friendly especially the sushi lady!
But today I had a very uncomfortably Situation.
I’m a stereotypical people pleaser, always smiling, going out of peoples way, you name it.. a situation happened with a lady that was I assume the manager this morning (8:20am September 30th), I thought they still had the 20% off the Dallas Cowboy jerseys because it’s plastered everywhere. I asked the cashier and she was super sweet about it bc technically it’s still everywhere “20%OFF”, she went to the manager and the both walk past me to what I assume to discuss if I should get the discount or not in front of the clothing isle, my head followed them as a normal customer would do I assume but as they walk by the manage said something like “are you taking a good look at my face” ?! I smiled and asked “par-ten?” I couldn’t really make out what that meant? She ignored me, I asked her again she ignored me again… they ended up giving me the 20% I said thank you and asked AGAIN what she had said and she clearly was uncomfortable or a little embarrassed and repeated “are you taking a good look at my face!” I was a little baffled and didn’t know what to reply I apologised and told her I don’t know what that means I’m from Europe sometimes I just don’t get it… asked two other employees about the meaning(?) on my way out bc the manager just walked away apparently it means I stared at her??!!! wtf? I’m honestly stop letting people just walk over me like that and want an apology from this insecure manager. THANK YOU.

Local Texas supermarket. Was stocked, clean, and had a great selection of fresh produce ???????to choose from.
Also the self-checkout lanes were all working which allowed me to get in & out quickly.
?️? were reasonable coming from NYC.

I love the employees here!!! Love the hours, Flower dept, Pharmacy and Bakery. The people that work there, and my regular used products are there and that's what I love.
What I don't love:
(1)I ordered two Turkeys from the meat department in two weeks prior to needing in July 2022. I checked back with the Meat Dept twice and each time they said "...yes, we have your order." The day I went to pick them up, they said, ".. we don't do meat orders like that. It's not how it works." I was not happy. I had 30 people coming to dinner in 2½ days, and Turkeys need time to thaw!! I don't feel a lot of help went into trying to help me by Tom Thumb on that mess. It was a store nene who told me to order the Turkeys from the meat dept in the first place. Luckily my husband found Turkeys at Whole Foods, but they were super expensive.
(2) Availability on groceries is just ok, sometimes they showcase something new, then you get hooked on it, and then it's gone. (Utz chips in Honey BBQ flavor, Whataburger BBQ sauce and plain old GOOD mandarin oranges, OR better brands of mandarins at least. (Sometimes you get a bag of all bad oranges). Lastly..... you are REGULARLY OUT OF: CANADA DRY GNGR ALE ZERO, CHERRY 7UP ZERO and occasionally out of Dr PEPPER ZERO.. There is hardly ANY space for Anything other than Coke and regular Dr. Pepper. I get Dr. Pepper is local, but carry more ZERO, they got rid of Dr. PEPPER 10, so everyone who drank Dr. P 10 had to go to Dr P Zero AND some people who drank Diet converted to ZERO. There is VERY LITTLE ROOM ROOM for these.
(3)Also, I wish I knew up front what is not available when I am shopping online with pick up. I get home and am disappointed. And have to go to another store, which defeats the purpose.
But other than those 3 things, the staff all want to help you and are very kind! Kudos to my usual helpers: Amelia, Michelle, Bruce, Lisa, Angela and Wesley. There are more, but I am forgetting names!
PS. A year later update... there is STILL a shortage of Canada Dry ginger ale zero and cherry 7up zero and Dr Pepper ZERO. You only have room for 4 - 8 12 pks on the shelf. Obviously, if you are out so frequently, it's not enough on the shelf. When I have asked the store to carry something, they don't. Even though I asked more than once. Chinese Hot Mustard, and the mentioned drinks above. And an employee basically told me they stock the shelves for the neighborhood they are in... what does that mean? If there aren't a lot of Chinese people in the neighborhood using the store, therefore you won't stock Chinese mustard?? And throw in the fact that my Tom Thumb APP has been unusable for gas for over 6 weeks because 12 people + at Tom Thumb can't fix it. WTH? And the Mandarins, I just had to throw out 2 bags because 80% were rotted after purchasing 4 days ago, and three remaining 20% taste like orangish water. So I'm lowering my review for these reasons.

The employees here are very disrespectful and double down on there poor attitudes, demeanor and behaviors , this is not only for associates but the managers as well… associates behavior can described as ghetto and they are not friendly. There is one that struggles with basic grammar, language skills and social skills and acts like she comes from the streets…. The store manager witnessed this poor behavior and did not get up at any point to intervene. I would avoid this location…

Love coming to this Tom Thumb it’s always so clean and easy to find anything needed. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Fresh produce and frozen food.
