The employees at the reception desk were very helpful and friendly, and seem very caring of our little cat and the doctors also were friendly and caring and professional. We will continue bringing our little one here.

Took our black cat to get vaccinated and teeth checked. That visit was fine and simple. Took our orange cat a couple months later because he wasn’t eating and was lethargic. They diagnosed him with pancreatitis and gave us a liquid medication and some pills and sent us home after paying $600. Well, we had to go to the ER the same week because he declined after going to Penny Paws. His pancreatitis developed into fatty liver disease. They mentioned a sonogram but never did one. We did not receive blood work documentation or anything regarding the tests they said they did. They mentioned his liver briefly but nothing specifically and said it wasn’t serious. He died because of his liver, so apparently it was that serious. I’m devastated and I’m angry. The doctor spoke to us like children and/or stupid and I feel like they just didn’t care enough to truly help him. $600 at Penny Paws and over $8000 at the ER to try to save him. Penny Paws failed him. I included a picture of him the day we were there. He died days later. (Edit: I received an apology in response to this review and attempted to contact them like they said to and they haven’t answered and/or responded to me. It’s been over 2 months.)

This was super easy. I thought I was going to be there for at least an hr but in less than 15 minutes I was out. Would highly recommend this place.

Best vet tech ever, very patient and kind. Dr. Miller really helped with my dog's allergies, eye infection and storm anxiety. They were helpful with answering all my questions.

I love the staff! They always are happy to see my dog and call her by her name each time we visit!

I loved the cleanness of the store but as for paying for a pet exam, it was ridiculous. I paid 60$ for the vet to be in the room 5 minutes and just check my fur babies heart rate and try and sell me a couple hundred dollar immunizations and things. I was alone in that room more than anything. The staff was kind and very polite but the money spent is outrageous and the prices of items are ridiculous. These items should be made more affordable so more people would want to adopt fur babies. This is one of the reasons shelters are so over packed. Not many people wanna deal with paying hundreds if not thousands of dollars in pet care.

Re: Ready to earn $10 off your next visit?Well, when I tried you use a $10 off coupon for new client and was told I could not. Nowhere on this coupon does it say package deal required.Secondly, brought puppy for wellness exam and a thermometer couldn't be found to check her temperature and it wasn't done. If I would have known the wellness exam was pretty much let me pet your puppy I would have gone elsewhere. I would think an attempt to check temperature and check her mouth for any dental problems would be part of the process. Then to be awaken at 830am day of the appointment and told if I didn't pay a deposit by 11am, my appointment would be cancelled, when this was not mentioned in any of the 4 emails sent prior to the appointment. When I paid the deposit was told to mention the coupon at checkout, which I did.Seems like the goal was to upsell vaccines. This service was added to my appointment without my knowledge. Then the tech reviews the medical history from where I adopted and the vet does the same. Then does the used car sells man trick wait let me review the paperwork, oh your dog needs all her boosters.Don't ask me to solicit me customers for you! With the reward of $10 off, when you didn't honor the first coupon and subpar service. I reviewed several articles on what to expect on pet first visit to vet and let's say this exam was sadly performed.Only positive the place was clean.

We go to Penny Paws for all of our doggie vaccines. They are great with my big, dramatic dog. We prefer the weekend for the cheaper prices and the walk in appointments are convenient with our busy schedule. We also got our boy chipped here as well. I'd suggest Penny Paws if you need a local vet to take care of your babies!

My 12 year old dog was well taken care of he had a full senior check up. He also had his shots up dated. Then he was groomed. Very well done. Thanks again

I have taken my dog here for almost a year, however, I will be finding a new vet. Preferably a clinic that actually returns phone calls and treats their patients/clients with the care and common courtesy they deserve. I spoke with the manager last week expressing my concerns, she listened but did not apologize even once. I will not be returning to this clinic and would not recommend anyone take their pets there.

Oliver ended up having a reaction to the vaccinations. I called penny paws at 5:30 and the person said that if he didn't stop vomiting to take him to ER but that some vomiting was normal. I asked for clarification and no doctor was there to call. I called several vets/ERs and all were at capacity, but they provided more help and support to treat Oliver over the phone than I got from penny paws. I called next day to inform that Oliver had had an allergic reaction and I wanted it noted that this adverse reaction would preclude his from vaccine again. The person I spoke to didn't seem to understand that the reaction risk outweighed the benefit of the vaccines. There was not a mechanism to be able to speak with the doctor or add note into a chart.

Terrible communication. We have been clients for several years but service has really taken a dive in the recent months. The phone system has been broken for weeks so you can call and maybe someone will pickup in 15-20 minutes or maybe you will get hung up on instead. There is no way to leave a message in the patient portal so I have to go up to the vet’s office to get anything resolved. I work full-time so this is inconvenient to say the least. If your pet is sick avoid the relief vets as you will have to get a $$$ new work up $$$ every time you see a different relief vet. If your pet has ongoing medical needs only see the full time vet. We have had terrible experiences trying to get the relief vet and full time vet to coordinate care. I have spoken with the hospital manager and she was no help either.

The situation that we were in with our little Cookie was a no win for any body. The staff and doctors showed me that they really cared and took the time to talk to us and lay out our options. As I stated before it was a no win situation but at least I felt like I was give the necessary information in order to make an informed decision. I will definitely bring the rest of the family there for there medical service.

I actually never had a problem with Penny Paws. I normally take my dogs to the Hurst location and they're great. I had to take my dog to the Arlington location this time for a more emergent situation. Long story short.... the veterinarian was super short with me and didn't allow me to ask questions after telling me my dog needed surgery. I prepaid for the appointment and only got like 2min to talk to her. Never going going there again.
