Michaels is the devil lol I went in there for two frames from some prints I purchased from a photographer. I couldn't find frames so I grabbed two mats instead. Walked out with 3 bags of goodies. They had a 50% all Valentine's Day collection and I definitely took advantage. Earned a $5 voucher as well. No one greeted me when I entered the store but it's cool because I was on a mission. The cashier seemed a bit annoyed by my questions during checkout but still a decent experience. Store was clean and organized plus I appreciated that they were open until 8 that night.

Today I called the Michael's Store in Lincoln Square in Arlington TX to inquire about a product. I was fortunate to speak with NYK, who may be a manager there. Not only did she say that Michael's carried the product, but she offered to run back & see if it was in stock at this store! YES, thank you. After a short wait, she returned to the phone & described the colors in stock, as well as the price range! I asked where I could find them in the store & she not only gave me visual directions for when I would enter the store, but the exact aisle number! Ok, I was in customer service for approximately 30 years & recognize the spectrum of customer service. We are in a pandemic. We had a big ice storm here & schools/stores were closed for 2 days. EVERY business is short-staffed because of those 2 factors, which has a huge impact on employees, as well as customers. So lately, approximately during the last 2 years, a consumer doesn't expect good service. Please ensure that this message reaches the right people so that NYK is recognized for providing top-notch service. Although the purchase price was small, that is not the point. I'll always return to THIS Michael's Store & be sure to tell others. Thank you so much. NYK is a treasure mine for business!
