My cat was in distress so I took him to I20. Was quoted on the phone it would be a certain amount since it was an emergency. After waiting 2-3 hours one tech came out with a quote of $694. I shared my experience and only paid $196. All they did was weigh and took a temperature and prescribed an antibiotic and anti nausea meds. Seriously ?!? They will take advantage. They could not even tell me if my cat was male or female. Very unprofessional.

Went with my best friend to take her dog. Staff was kind and quick however we would like to mention we had Dr. Daniel Wegenast… he was knowledgeable but after doing her “exam” he came back telling us he drained fluid and used the laser device on her without consulting my friend. She paid for things she did not agree to. She would have 100% drained the fluid but the fact that they did not let her know what he was doing to her dog or asking if the price or procedure was okay is slightly frustrating

I regret coming here. This place has a policy of bilking their customers out of every penny they can. They had one job today, which was to induce vomiting in my dog to hopefully keep him from the toxicity of grapes. They failed and still charged me full price for their failure.

If your pet gets sick on the weekend this is probably your only option as most vets as ours are closed. Your pet will get adequate care here but you will be unbelievably grossly overcharged. My wife brought our cat. I know it’s a hospital/emergency facility but these people should be ashamed. It’s like a used car dealership up charging for unnecessary services. They will roll their eyes and assume you don’t care about your pet if you don’t choose everything they are wanting to charge you for. The staff is unprofessional and snooty. Thank God for our regular veterinarian at Jason/Little Road, they are thorough, professional and fair. I feel bad for people who don’t have the funds to get emergency care for their pet. If you have to come here, you have to come here but expect to leave without rent, grocery and gas money for a month or two.

I was helped by 2 or 3 people here on diff visits. I cant remember everyone but Jamie Doherty performed an amputation of a digit for my cat & I'm very thankful she did great. One of the other 2 was an older women & maybe shes not here anymore i dont see her on the site. I cant speak for everyone but my experience was very serious my cat had a tumor. Its was very heavy on my heart. i think its a combination of prayer & the vet but its getting really close to a year & the tumor has not came back. i try not to get too excited but even just this amount of time is a blessing. the price was not cheap but attainable. care credit was super helpful. if you can commit I would highly encourage ppl to move forward if not here then whatever you can afford. I think the price was fair. I did considered another location but super grateful & happy I stuck with AMC. I stayed for hours because i didnt want to leave during the operation & they were very understanding.
One lesson i will suggest is do your own research. listen to what they have to say but remember no one is perfect you have to do a little research to make an educated decision. I know ppl want guarantees but nothing in life is. I will also mention every vet including here knows different info. ask alot of questions. & it doesnt hurt to see other ppl here i saw 3 vets here & all 3 had something different but helpful to say, each have there own knowledge even in the same class of pet. i changed my pets diet ive googled for hours to learn & i think everything has contributed to my cat fighting so well. At another vet i was told i would likely need to amputate the whole leg but here they gave me an option. maybe it was risky but i chose the digit because my cat is older but it worked out. i cant choose for you but pray & research. I visit every month to buy prescription food Earon is always super helpful & very kind. Theres a few others but anyways thank you for helping.

This was my preferred veterinarian place; however, I had to go to another pet hospital to see about getting my pet spayed quicker than AMC could perform it. I originally went to AMC to see if my pet was already spayed. The vet tried to do a physical exam (feeling around) but was unable to tell, and told me she would have to open my pet up in surgery to see if my pet had already been spayed. However, the second vet I took her to said they could do an ultrasound to check and see, but before doing that they laid my dog on her back to look for a surgery scar/tattoo. And there was a visible scar AND tattoo! Why wasn't that looked for/found by the vet at AMC before I wasted my time and paid for an office visit to the second vet?! I was very disappointed at the AMC vet not doing her due diligence for me or my pet.

Stay away from this place if you don’t want to stay 3 hours inside of a room waiting for them to assist you , and seeing your animal in bad hands ! the whole animal industry from this area knows how negligent they are!! Don’t go there if you don’t want your animal to have a horrible experience and you being ripped off.

I’m leaving this review on my daughter’s google acct but My name is Maria & I recently took my dog to the vet for a walk-in visit, which cost $100. After the comprehensive exam, the vet proceeded to take X-rays and perform additional testing without prior consent. At the end of the visit, I was presented with a bill for $700+ which was a shock since I was never informed that these services were not included in the initial $100 fee. When I expressed that I didn't have the money to pay and that I wouldn't have agreed to the additional services had I known the cost, the front desk staff told me I couldn't leave without paying and even went as far as to ask “well how much do you have? Or don’t you have a family member who you can call?”. They also pressured me into signing consent forms before leaving after the fact to cover their own backs, making it seem like I had agreed to the extra services, which I did not. This experience was very distressing, and I feel that I was unfairly charged for services I did not authorize. I have filed a complaint to the better business bureau and look forward to a resolution otherwise I will be seeking legal action & taking this to court.

I went to this AMC in an emergency for a kitten that suffered a crushed paw! I would like to point out that this was just a little over 2yrs ago. The kittens name is Houdini. He was in a lot of pain and needed a painkiller. I understand that such emergency clinics need to have funds coming in, in order to maintain their doors stay open. HOWEVER, one of the staff members who I addressed/ engaged with was MASSIVELY DISMISSIVE AND SAID,
“I’m not giving him a painkiller! I’m not jeopardizing my job for that!” Again I understand that “money” is needed to keep operations going in such facilities but there has to be a better approach when engaging with a pet owner! This individual was rude, indifferent and insensitive and did not even have the courtesy of making eye contact with me! This is why I have not EVER gone back there again! The staff only cares about their paychecks! To them, it is a job equivalent to working shopping cart duty at a grocery store! DISGUSTING!

Our older dog was in an accident and we took him to I20 Animal Medical Center. They immediately took him from me when I walked in the door. After the exam and X-rays, I met with Dr. Welch. She explained everything to me thoroughly. Our dog had to stay in the ER one night then I was able to pick him up. I was given medication and instructions that the ER tech went over with me first.
Thank you to all the staff for a great job!!!

I-20 Hospital staff provided evaluation and urgent treatment for my dog, and I highly recommend them.
I was impressed with everyone I met, and, after some time in ICU my pet is almost back to normal. I am grateful.

The people here are rude! why would anyone trust them with your precious babies? Like one person said this is just for money grab!

The front desk staff are beyond rude including the manager Ashleigh. This is not a low cost location and the vets push surgery before taking a blood test or any test at all besides the vet doing a ,"physical exam" literally just touched my cat and lied about his bladder size to push surgery even harder. Thank God we left and went to Mid Cities in EULESS. They aren't about money, they are all about your pet! Please save yourself money and time and go to mid cities or anywhere else!

I’ve been coming to i20 for two years since I’ve brought my older dog here in 2022 and wow this place has gotten horrible! I came here to get my puppy something to help her vomit since I knew what she had eaten something she wasn’t supposed to but when I arrived at 1:30 am we were greeted horribly. I told the woman at the front desk that I just needed a prescription to induce her vomiting and she said I have to have a mandatory exam, that I must pay up front which was $200 ( ps when I brought my older dog multiple times I’ve never had to have a mandatory exam or pay before the exam) not including the price of the prescription. This sounded like a quick money grab since I already told her I knew what was wrong with my puppy. So what was the point of the mandatory exam? If I didn’t know what was wrong I would’ve had no complaints with paying that!
Edit: I’ve never said in the past that my dog was prescribed medication without an exam! And yes in the past I’ve never had to pay the total before my dog has even received the exam here. When I had an exam and X-ray which was $800 I had paid AFTER. So no it hasn’t always been like this
