I have 2 choices of thought. EITHER Corporate withheld information about the chair from their sales people or 2) the salesperson misled me into believing I was getting a quality chair that met my needs. IF the person knew of the chairs limitations and FAILED to disclose this information to me ahead of time (which would have allowed to the MAKE A FULLY knowledgeable decision as to whether or not I wanted the chairs) this would have been a fair sell..but they DID NOT. Probably knowing that no intelligent person would not have purchased the chairs thus losing a $9000.00 sale. This practice is illegal and makes Ethan Allen LIBEL for non disclosure of information. AGAIN I STRESS. "BEWARE"
BUYER BEWARE.. Company uses "Bait and Switch" sales tactics. What you see on the floor ( and subsequently purchase ) is not what you receive. They DO NOT stand behind their claim of customer satisfaction. They turn the blame on you for not using the furniture correctly. Someone please explain to me how we used a recliner incorrectly.
We purchased 2 Alden chairs in September 2023. They were delivered around October 2023. By the end of November, the cushions in my chair had fallen part. The seat cushion became a hole, the back cushion became a concave depression and the head cushion also became a depression. There was ZERO support in this chair. I purchased a king size bed pillow for my back but this didn't help with the lack of support in my lower back and hips. Ultimately had to switch back to my beloved Havertys recliners. You could actually feel the material tearing under your bottom. AND only 2/3rds of the arms are padded. Discovered this when I had to press my arms into the chair to stand up ( in order to get out of the hole I was setting in).
MY arms were met with pain because you can feel the raw edge of wood under the leather. The wood is not even rounded off. It's the hard edge of the cut when it's milled. There is NO padding (which should be covering the entire arm of the chair). They asked me for photos along with the label located under the seat cushion. (This is when I discovered where that the chairs are made in Mexico). I sent them the pictures. They sent a man out to inspect the problem. He whole heartedly agreed the chairs are bad. When I mentioned all this they side stepped the issue by blaming me. They know about the filling being used because someone in corporate has to authorize the purchase of this material. When we bought the chairs my husband and I entered the Arlington store. I was in my wheelchair. I was honest with Sara. I told her what type of chair I needed and why. I even told her my weight at the time. (240) I explained that we currently have 2 beautiful leather recliners from Havertys that rock and swivel..but I can't use them right now because I'm unstable and don't want to fall and break a hip. Told her I needed a fix based chair that didn't move. She immediately directed us to the Alden recliner. It is a lovely chair. Both my husband and I liked it so we purchased 2 along with a love seat. At no time were we given instructions that we could only use the chairs in a specific way. We've always thought of Ethan Allen as a quality store with ethics. This is no longer the case. It would appear they only care about getting your money then basically giving you the finger. They were kind enough to offer us 40% off on the purchased of a new recliner. SERIOUSLY!! I'm more stable now. Started regaining strength by December 2023 so I'm now back in my beautiful Havertys recliner ( that by the way is still perfect after 3+yrs. as the day they were purchased). These Aldens chairs will end up on the curb for trash within the yr. There was a time you could trust anything that came from Ethsn Allen. Their furniture could become something passed down within a family. NO MORE. Save you money and you sanity.

From the moment I met Kimberly I felt a sense of relief and trust that I found the right designer and store to fill our new home with furniture and decor. Fast forward a year and she has taken care of every detail with professionalism and attention to detail along with a love for her job that surpasses anything I have ever seen. Couldn't be happier for having made the decision to stop in the Ethan Allen store in Arlington! Everyone who walks in our home comments immediately on how beautifully it is decorated.
Also, I am so happy that I recommended our son and daughter-in-law get in touch with her to add some pieces to their home even though they don't live in the Dallas area.. They LOVED working with her and agreed that she goes above and beyond in her care for her clients. I will continue to recommend her and Ethan Allen to all my friends and family.

Kimberly was so incredibly helpful when we went in to look for a few items for our new home. She let us look and gave us our space while chiming in when needed. We bought a dresser and she kept us updated througout the whole process and even followed up after delivery to make sure it went well and we were satisfied.

We recently had opportunity to purchase few items at Ethan Allen in Arlington and loved the experience. Kimberly is very knowledgeable and understanding of our needs. She is quick to return all your questions and needs. She went above and beyond our expectations. We also love the quality of our furniture. We looked at several companies but Ethan Allen’s quality and style is unbeatable.

We contacted Kimberly Lamb to assist us with changing the furniture, art and ambiance of our large living room and dining area. Kimberly came to our home within days and measured all aspects of our living spaces. Within two weeks, Kimberly presented us with a meticulously prepared presentation of her proposal of furnishings including rugs and artwork. We were highly impressed with Kimberly's thoroughness, listening skills, and interior design expertise.The day after her extensive showroom presentation, she put us at ease with all of our choices by bringing a cart full many elements of the design project to our home (fabric samples, rug samples, artwork, even a lamp). She even measured the spacing of the artwork once she arrived.It is rare to find someone who is so gifted in the artistic field of interior design and also highly conscientious and disciplined on the execution side. My wife and I have great confidence in Kimberly and highly recommend her.

My wife and I walked to to kill a few minutes and met undoubtedly the nicest, most patient and hands down most professional rep. Kimberly Lamb, thank you so much for making what I previously thought would be a pain, into one of the most enjoyable experiences my wife and I have had with purchasing furniture. I can't say enough about the seamless process and the knowledge that she has. We thank you again Ethan Allen and Kimberly Lamb, you definitely made an impression have earned a loyal customer. And for those think it's to far we are about 2 hours away from this location and will be glad to revisit on our next project.
