I had a sweet sixteen party on last week. The expectation of what I paid for and what I received was extremely different. I requested a Winter Wonderland theme. The decorations were okay but it was not what I requested. I expected the lights to be more deemed like a winter wonderland theme would be. I requested the lights to be dimmer to reflect the theme and one of the coordinator’s stated they would need to reset the lights. I asked for more dance room area due to it being a teenager party. The dance floor was very small. My initial consultation was that we would have a mixture of high tables and low tables. It was not done. It was suppose to be a surprise party but my daughter stated she read the sign on the door that showed it was her party. So much for the surprise…….
Food presentation is everything. I was charged almost an additional 300.00 for what was supposedly for the catering service. The food looked like someone had cooked it from their home. It certainly didn’t look like catered food. What was interesting, I had a nacho bar. When I walked in prior to the party, I saw Joanna actually taking Velveeta cheese and put in a crockpot to make the nachos. I thought all of my food was being catered. The veggie tray looked like someone chopped this up at home. This certainly was not catered style. I requested drummetts which looked and tasted disgusting. I had chicken that was extremely shredded, you could not tell whether it was cheese or chicken. I thought I was getting thin slices of chicken to put on a taco. I would have done better getting cookies from Tom Thumb. The cookies were so unprofessionally done. If you plan on using this facility for a party, make sure you continue to let Joanna know not to assume what you want. I was suppose to have a fruit tray but that never appeared on the table. I think previous reviewers stated the same thing I Wii state. Once you have given Joanna an the facility most of your money, they will change from being very accommodating to less accommodating. It all becomes a money game. Whoever had Joanna over this venue will loose money. I will tell everyone I know about the experience that occurred with me. Here are the pictures of this supposedly catered food. I suggest you get your own caterer. Thank God I had additional food catered by The Bearded Chef Cajun Cuisine. My guest did not touch any of the venue food, but enjoyed the food I had catered from the outside.

I would like to take a moment and just really show love and appreciation to this event center and the staff I was so worried but they went beyond my expectations and delivered what i asked for. Andria the event coordinator definitely did not disappoint she said she had it under control and she did. The bartender serenity omg everyone at my event can’t stop talking about her she was a vibe the drinks was so good. She was very respectful and also her customer service was great. My family loved her I will be doing another event soon with Etage and I am definitely requesting serenity.

They did their thing for our wedding ceremony, thank you to the owner, the planner Andria & the bartender Serenity(sorry if I misspelled your names) but they did awesome! It was beautiful! We had family and friends come from all over the US and they enjoyed it! It was all tears of joy, laughs, it was so lit we didn’t get any cake to take home for ourselves, it was a great turn out! We had a great time, the southern hospitality was on point. We will most definitely work with them again! Thank you guys!

Initially this place seemed to be an ideal place for a reception. We were “sold” from the misleading information from the venue tour, and paid our deposit to hold the date.After paying the deposit, we received about 3 pages of add on fees. The things that were told that would come with the venue rental during the walkthrough were all itemized out as an add on charge sheet. So joke was on us for believing what was said. Even lights were add ons, so people be ware.To add to all of this, we attempted to communicate with someone about solidifying our price so that we could pay it out. For some reason, our business was not important enough because we were told by text that they are working on a “bigger” clients function.Needless to say, we were not happy and at that point wanted a refund for the lack of communication and professionalism. My wife asked for a refund of our deposit, at least the portion that Naveen’s contract said was refundable “damage control deposit”. I’m turn , Naveen responded and said that they take that damage control deposit as the last payment. Nowhere on the contract says that and one would assume by the way that it was written on the contract, that it was included in the initial deposit.I responded to Naveen’s email letting him know of all of our concerns and asked him to direct me to the part of the contract that shows that. Also show me in the contract that because they were going through a coordinator change that we were supposed to expect unprofessional no communicative service.Please be ware of this company. Although I’m sure that it has potential to be a good venue, make sure that you have all the information that you can think of because it’s not likely that it would be share freely due to the lack integrity that was shown to us.

"Ruined Our Wedding Reception 12/02/2022"The male owner contacted us 3 days before our wedding asking for $1000 which was already paid to him, we had the reciept and showed him, so then he apologized for the confusion. Then, the female assistant I "the Bride" spoke with 2 days before our wedding to make sure we were still good to decorate the day before the wedding didn't know anything about it because the male owner didn't communicate with her. So now the day before our wedding we were on time to set-up and decorate but the female assistant claim she forgot about the conversation on coming to decorate that day and time, so she never came and had the set-up guy let us in. But when we get inside the venue there was nothing set-up for us to decorate no tables, chairs or linen. So our time ended up wasted and from that we knew it was gone be a disaster. Later, that night the male owner which mind you this is the day before our wedding had the female assistant contact us again wanting money they assumed we owed but the amount was incorrect. So the day of our wedding all of our services that we hired to drop off and set up things were on time but the male owner, female assistant or set- up guy were not there to open the doors. So they had everyone just waiting there for hours. Then, the male owner came to get something and did not open the door for them and stated the female assistant should be there to let them in. Which she told me "the Bride" she would come early since we still had so much to do because of them not having anything set-up. But again she showed up late and said something came up. Mind you they still needed to decorate because of what happened yesterday, set-up photo booth, dj equipment, cake and warm food. It was a complete diaster and most of our food wasn't prepared, set out and served right for our guest. Our guests didn't know how the reception should of been accommodated for them because our hostess had to do so many other things that she didn't have time to even worry about everthing else. But what bothered me "the Bride" the most is that the female assistant acted like just because all the chaos calmed down and when the guest were finally seated that it went great after that but no at the end of the day none of this should have never happened in the first place. If your staff would have first communicated with each other, been on time and remembered what you tell your clients, keep up with your payments or get an accountant, be very considerate to your clients because this is a once in a lifetime moment for them that they will never get back. Then, maybe your services would have greatly been appreciated from us. The only reason you get 2? is for the venue it looks nice but need some upgrades especially the bathroom and the fact we received our deposit back.
