You will regret moving with them! DON'T DO IT! They went through my things. The "owner" didn't care one bit. I strongly advise you reconsider. I wouldn't use them again even if they offered a free move. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!

Do not by any means believe anything they say. They are liars..you are charged extra to pay with card which they do not tell you, they quote you something but then state the quote is not valid, they send you movers that don't know how to move fast and you pay hourly..oh so many horrible things to say about this company. New management yea sure..so easy to scam people and say things have changed because everyone has had a bad experience. I say prove it

RUN RUN RUN!!!!! WORST COMPANY EVER !!!
My appointment was for 11-2pm.
I was told by Jessica that the company had a truck down and they were having to route out other movers. I then began to feel like something was up. I immediately went to the internet to check out reviews.
Majority of the reviews were the exact situation I had went through, trucks supposedly breaking down and customers moving schedules being delayed. I knew that I would have to wait for the movers but having them arrive at 9:35 pm was a little over the top.
When the movers arrived it was not a truck at all but a raggedy trailer, the two men that helped me appeared to have just been released from prison.
I was alone and immediately tried calling Tim T to see if anyone else could come. He never answered. The movers told me that tim had just called them for my move not even 2 hours before they got there. I was very upset to know that members of management were such liars!!!
The men arrived 30 mins after I did to my new apartment claiming ot be lost when little did they know my friend followed them and said they stopped at a store. ( I have photos to back this up)
When they finally got there they told me that I would have to help. I then called my bf who literally helped the ,movers move me.
The movers kept complaining about how late it was and how they had been working and how lucky I should be that they came.
While trying to work in a rush they carried things that needed to people by themselves.
My dressers leg was completely broken off. When I came in to ask Andy what was going on I found him trying to prop it up so I couldn't tell anything had happened.
My night stand was hit and dragged against every wall going up the stairs, and the wood is coming off.
Lastly my tv stand had 4 shelves. I now only have one and the one that I do have is missing a chunk of wood.
After speaking with the owner today I can't pretend that I feel confident that this will be resolved. I find the staff to be very rude and condescending. I am very educated and I don't like being spoken to like I'm an idiot. This company is pathetic and the owner is a joke.
EVERYONE RUN RUN RUN !!!!
WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER !!!
SORRY FOR THE BOOK BUT this is the exact email I sent to the owner and claims center ....... I HAVE HEARD NOTHING back !!!
Unprofessional and a complete waste of time and energy

Too bad I cannot give them a O. I applied online with a moving company locator. This company was the first to call me back in like 10 minutes at night after 10. I was in awe. The guy I talked with Nick was awesome. I made an appointment and I was set. The next day I received a call from another company for a lower price. I contacted Nick through email to cancel my appointment because I found a better deal. He advised me that they price match and beat. So he gave me a cheaper price than the guy who called me the next day. Friday come and my appointment is from 11-2. I get a call at 1 saying they got behind because of a slow elevator, I was ok with that. I went to sleep because I work third shift. I woke up at 7, thinking I missed a call and they came and left. I called and the guy says, we are wrapping up and will be there in 30 min. I was okay with that because I had to go to work that night. They didn't arrive until 8:30, then they tell me I had to pay $90/hr opposed to the price I was given over the phone, because I needed 3 guys and not 2 because I was on the 3rd floor, which I told Nick this, to make sure I get an accurate quote. As I am thinking about the move, they guy starts rushing me, I told him I have waited 5 hours for you, you can wait 10 min for me. At this point I was mad, so I tried to call Nick, no answer of course. So I let the guys move, granted I live on the 3rd floor, I didn't have that much stuff, and the people that moved me in, took less than an hour, and it was only 2 guys. Instead of paying $115, I ended up paying $300. I ended up paying for 3 hours + $25 trip charge. They were moving slow when they were loading up the truck. Get this, when we arrived at the new apartment, the guy says, if we get this stuff in here in 30 min, can we keep the rest as a tip? Who said you were going to get a tip? And if you can unload in 30 min, you could have loaded it in 30 min, instead of 2 hours. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY TELL YOU ONE THING ON THE PHONE, AND WHEN THEY GET THERE IT'S SOMETHING TOTALLY DIFFERENT.

Wow. if only i read the reviews before going w/ this moving company. they are by far the worst company i have dealt with. I scheduled this moving company about 1 month in advance. i was quoted $70/hr (for 2 hours)+25 trip = 165 charge and my movers were supposed to arrive between 8-10am. i thought this was a great price. 1. my movers did not arrive until 5pm 2. the manager tried to then charge me $90/her instead of the $70 that we originally discussed. good thing i had an email to confirm in writing what my price was otherwise i would have been SOL. 3. The movers were so slow. At one point, the guy was only moving 1 box at a time on the dolly when the dolly could clearly carry 4-5 boxes. I can tell that they were moving slow on purpose. my move should have took 1.5 hours because i didnt have many boxes and i sold the biggest items (bed, dresser tables etc) but w/ these guys it took 3hrs! 4. not only were they super super late, the movers even charged me for the extra hour. I know this is a normal charge, but i belive it was unfair because the movers were purposely moving slow, DO NOT USE COMPTON BROTHERS MOVING, even if it seems like they have the best rate, they will get you in the end by charging your for additional hours

HORRIBLE!!! Left my bed fame in the road, overcharged, unprepared, lost the feet to my couch.DO NOT USE!!! I was quoted $270, my bill was $450. I still had to rent a uhaul and pay a friend to get my half my stuff after these clowns ripped me off. They were slow, rude, 2 hours late. Now they refuse to replace the items they broke. BE ADVISED, CALL ANYONE BUT THESE CLOWNS!

WOULD DO ZERO STARTS IF I COULD! They quoted my sister between $160 and $190. She only has a very few things to move. When they arrived late, they demanded $230. My sister had to be out by end of day so we had no choice but to go forward. I paid the bill and they demanded that I send a picture of the front and back of my credit card and the front of my drivers license. I told the manager that was not right, but we had no choice but to go forward since she had to be out. The manager told me he prints out the credit card and files away under lock and key. To me, that doesnt seem right and pretty sure is a PCI compliance violation. So Beware. I have told him to destroy my info and pictures once the charge goes through. One of the furniture movers was friendly but the other was very rude and told her it was going to cost even more. He kept telling her he could be home with his family instead of helping her move. What a j**** Would not ever use this company again. They are dishonest in my opinion.

Horrible experience. If you can use ANYONE ELSE I would bet they would be better than Compton Brothers! STAY AWAY! I used them for my 6/20/14 Move. They were suppose to be there at 8am, they were an hour and a half LATE. Then told me that the Sales center had not informed them of all the items needing to go on the truck. They said they would "try" to get them loaded but if they didn't make it they didn't make it. I was also informed that they only cargo for up to 110 boxes. So although I was sold on them being able to move a 1500 sqft home and a garage they COULD NOT. Even items "on the list" didn't make it ON THE TRUCK. The "owner" offered NO SOLUTION other than we could go get a uhal truck and they would find us movers. Not may for anything! The only other solution was "we can send you another truck for an additional $1200." Really? When I paid $1500 for your movers to be late? I don't think so. My husband and I have to go to get a uhal at which time they informed me that they were on their way to Katy. I told them okay but we were picking up a uhal to load the rest of the stuff so I didn't know when we were going to be there. It took my husband and I 3 hours to lead up the uhal and an hour round trip to find one on a weekend on such short notice. So at this point we are up to $1820 in moving expenses. It took us so long to load the truck due to the fact that I am 7 months pregnant; yeah that was the whole reason for hiring movers. We get on the road have to put $90 in gas in the 14 ft uhall. Now up to $1910 in costs. I get a nasty call from the "lead mover" who tells me that since they have been waiting for 5 hours at the home they will have to charge me extra for having to wait. That cost me $150, incase you are keeping up that's $2060. I get to the home to let them in, we were relocating and so I obviously had no one at the house to let them unload. They start unloading the truck, which miraculously doesn't take the 5 hours it took to get it loaded, shocking. We ended up with 2 broken pieces of furniture that can't be repaired one was clearly STOOD ON. One of the brutes ended up dislodging a knocker that I have on a serviette, keep in mind it's from the 1800's and is hand made, and they scuffed up my little boys bed BADLY. My children had an overnight bag that accidentally got "put on the truck", when my husband went to find it, it was shoved under boxes in the garage. He asked if it was open and I said "no". They had riffled through my CHILDRENS things to look for some sort of valuables. I may not be a pro when it comes to movers but I was smart enough to take all of my small valuables in my vehicle. After they "finished" unloading the truck the closed it up and left without doing a walk through. My husband demanded they come back b/c they broke several items. They told us we had to mail in a claim. WORST MOVE EXPERIENCE EVER! Next time I will either go with a far more reputable company or rent the trucks and hire my own movers. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Especially if you value your things.
