My vet is semi retiring and transferred her clinic to this facility. In the confusion to get help for my dog, I accidentally called another vet clinic in Arlington with the same name and they told me to just come without an appointment because my 15 1/2 year old dog was having breathing issues. I ended up figuring out I called the wrong place when I showed up here. When I explained what happened, they said just come on in and we’ll see your baby. Dr. Heather Olge and the vet tech Jennifer were so kind. The woman sitting at the front immediately put me in a room and I hardly waited to see the vet tech or the vet. I can’t say enough how well they treated my dog and me. Dr. Olge explained things so I could understand, made sure to ask what we wanted for our dog and then treated my dog so well during the examination. I was a bit stressed when I showed up and they helped me calm down. I can’t say enough about the kindness and caring of the people working here. My vet doesn’t work every day now and it’s good to know when I go regardless if she’s there, they have staff and other vets who truly care for the animals.

Today was my first day using AVC. I had a doggy emergency and my usual spot was all booked up for both of their nearest locations. I called AVC, told them my situation and they immediately took me in even when they were booked. The front staff was very courteous. The technician was invested and sweet. Doctor Heather was just awesome. Very nice, listened to all my concerns, eased all of my concerns, and gave me a detailed list of her analysis. To top it off, when I went to pay, I hadn't noticed that I left my wallet at home and the front clerk let me take my time and even told me I could come back to pay. Honestly this was too good of an experience. If I could give 6 stars, I would! Thank you AVC for helping me and my fur baby. I'm probably going to switch Vets now lol.

Dr. Smyth and ALL his staff have been extremely professional and loving to us over the years. We switched from a great veterinarian to them only 3 years ago to have something closer to us, and I can honestly say that I wish we had found them sooner. They are compassionate and thorough, and I've NEVER felt like they are running a business. Rather, I've always felt like it's a loving extension of our home for our pets. As we all know, our pets are an extension to our family. My Yogi is a 16.5 year old chihuahua that we had to put down just yesterday due to old age and complications to his medical history. From our first visit with them and Dr. Smyth, I always felt at ease with them and the care they provided Yogi. I'm sure Dr. Smyth can retire comfortably now, as he's in his late 70s, BUT he is doing what he LOVES and from a customer's perspective, you know your pet is being cared for well when someone is doing what they love for this long. Listen, there are many great veterinarians around, but Dr. Smyth and his staff are what you need and didn't know you needed. Thank you Dr. Smyth for your heart and devotion!

Love this vet. From receptionist, to vet tech, to Vet; they are all professional and very caring. My cat is always stressed but she did well with them. She could feel the good vibes. I 100% recommend this vet. They take the time to listen and understand your concerns and your animals feelings. I couldn't be happier or more thankful with their service.

I don't think I can say enough great things about Dr. Smyth. My dog was recently thought to have Osteosarcoma, and my vet recommended Dr. Smyth to perform a CT scan for confirmation. Dr. Smyth and his team were able to get us in for an appointment on the next business day, and spent time talking me through everything. He helped walk me through the CT, and explained more about the cancer so that I had a better understanding of what will be coming in the next few months. He and his team were extremely professional and caring when talking about such a sensitive subject. If we didn't live so far from their location, he would be becoming our primary vet.

We have never had anything but the best care for our cats on every visit over the last 4 years. Their staff is very attentive and sensitive. Dr. Waldman is our go-to doctor for any problems with our babies. We almost never have and problems getting an appointment and never have to sit long in the waiting room either.

Dr. Smyth and Dr. Waldman are knowledgeable, thorough, professional, and caring. The clinic is state of the art, with a comfortable, spacious, and pleasant atmosphere. The boarding facilities are very clean, the staff is friendly, and the dogs are provided outdoor time in an area, that is safe, secure, and free of debris. A special, artificial grass is installed, with a drainage system, beneath it, that allows workers to sanitize, after each dog's visit. The entire facility impresses.

My recent experience at this vet clinic was disappointing. I took my cat there to examine a scratch on her eye, but I observed some concerning practices. They held her down for an extended period, causing her to become anxious and try to get away. This action resulted in her scratching the tech because they had not cut her nails beforehand like I had told them to. Furthermore, they tapped on my cats on the head during vaccination, which usually is irritating for my cats. My cats have never scratched anyone, including other staff at vet offices that I have visited.Despite expressing my concerns and explaining how to handle my pets properly, they disregarded my cautions and continued with actions that clearly distressed my cat. As a result, they require my cat to be sedated before every visit due to their poor handling.It is crucial for this clinic to improve their understanding of how to handle cats and to listen to pet owners when they provide important information about their pets.
