We knew we wanted to stay here before we even got here. The Spur is our kind of place. From speaking to John when we made the reservation to enjoying our room, it far exceeded our expectations. It felt more like we were visiting family than staying at a hotel. The atmosphere is so quaint and comfortable. The “help yourself” guest amenities were amazing. Don’t pass this up if you’re in Archer City, Texas. You’ll be glad you stayed.

After a horrible experience at the Hilton garden in Odessa, this place is a gift of God to me. I cannot be more thankful for the hospitality and the wonderful place that The Spur hotel is.My husband and I work on the road across the country, but never been in a blessed place like that. If you are looking for a place to stay, that’s the one you are looking for. Five stars is not enough.I really loved!!!!?

Great place to stay. The Owners are awesome folks. They welcomed us me and my family with open arms. The old town feeling and atmosphere. Real quiet and comfy. The Jones family thanks you for your hospitality. We will come back.

Great trip here while visiting my bf at Sheppard AFB. Nicely restored 1920's hotel with good sized comfy beds. The hosts are very nice and the rates are very fair. Nice low tech and relaxing place. They do have complementary snacks, a kitchen, small library, and tv room. We had most of the hotel to ourselves over labor day weekend. Worth the drive to Archer City vs staying in a sketchy place in the city for twice the rate! ?Rooms: Great for a couple. Queen bed is comfy. The rooms were super clean and well taken care of. The bathroom was nicely designed. There are extra towels in the hall.Nearby activities: Not too much to do in town but there is a decent cafe down the road and it is a 15 to 20 min drive to Wichita Falls. Also close to Lake Arrowhead state park and apparently hunting is near here.Safety: Safe quiet town. The room has auto locking doors. We weren't worried at all.Walkability: Easy walk around Archer City.Noteworthy details: Nice western themed mini hotel.

It was the most quaint hotel we've ever stayed. John and DeeDee the owners, are so sweet and kind. If we ever are able to have another reason to stay close by, we'll definitely stay at the spur. Each room is very clean, decorative, and welcoming. Thank you so much for the wonderful timeNearby activities: A venue for concerts .

After traveling through remote parts of Texas, and not wanting to stay in a Courtyard, Hampton Inn, or Holiday Inn, I stumble across The Spur Hotel. I called to make my reservation and the owners were very kind and polite. I inquired if they had a restaurant/bar, they do not but I was told about the available local restaurants and a nearby liquor store. Room was clean, was very quiet. If you are looking for a nice, clean, and quite room this is the place.
