This place is nothing but a FAKE front for selling dogs at high prices, just like a breeder. Which they are. They are in TX...that says it all. STAY far away!

This is simply the best run organization I have ever dealt with. I have been a part of other organizations in the area and Dog Ranch Rescue is by far the most welcoming, caring rescue community. It is clear how much compassion all of the fosters and volunteers have for these animals. I am forever grateful that they gave us our little Annelle who came from a Amish puppy mill situation. They are constantly taking in dogs who would otherwise lose their lives or live in horrible conditions. They are responsible and take the time to make sure dogs are placed in good homes.

Awesome! Worth the drive to Allen. This boarder really takes great care of your pet. They don’t keep them cooped up all day and knows dogs well.

Used to love this place. Had one hiccup previously before this time (dog came home with a scab presumably from a bite, but dogs are dogs). This previous time was a literal nightmare. Our dogs weren’t appearing as much in their “Today’s Photos” but we just chalked that up to them being camera shy. No, they were sick with kennel cough/flu and were probably too sick to run around for the pictures. When we picked them up they said they had “the ick” and so did every other dog at the ranch. We asked what illness and they said probably the “Oklahoma dog flu”. We took them home and our oldest couldn’t stop coughing up phlegm so we had to take them to the urgent care 3 days before Christmas and spend $300 to get them a steroid shot, a pain medicine injection, and cough tablets. Last night (night of picking them up) we had to wake up every 6 hours to give them a cough tablet but that still didn’t stop the almost hourly bouts of full-body coughing and sneezing and hacking. Our oldest dog couldn’t jump on the bed because he was so weak. Our 6 month old puppy fell asleep at the vet instead of begging for treats like usual. Neither one of our dogs can talk, both being very talkative since they’re husky mixes. They can’t whine, they can’t do much of anything and are quarantined for Christmas from our family’s dogs. This could have all ben avoided by a singular phone call from this sorry excuse as a boarder. We would have LOVED to have been able to have one our THREE emergency contacts for our dogs to have come pick up our dogs when they found out the first dog had “Okie flu” or we would’ve even settled for one telling us our dogs were sick not springing it on us when we pay our $1000 bill for the week. This place does not deserve to be able to take care of man’s bestfriend.

This place and it’s owner are the absolute worst. Your dog’s luxury stay might include exciting travel such as an emergency trip to the hospital after being brutally attacked under their careful watch. Their top notch customer service features an answering system to nowhere, an owner that will act like you’re the crazy one for wanting updates on your hospitalized pup, and my personal favorite the owner letting you know they aren’t responsible for any injuries with a negative amount of compassion while alerting you of your dog that might die. Lastly, they will even leave you with an amazing parting gift like a fun head cone, a series of stitches, and even an infection drain!Wow they really think of everything! If an exciting stay like this is something that sounds like fun for your pup then sign up today.

No cameras and I'm pretty sure no liability insurance. My dog was hurt and there's no record other than "it was his fault". I would advise going elsewhere.

If you are looking for nice caretakers for your pups, this is not the place to come! 0 stars should truly be given to Lone Star Dog Ranch. My mother's dog stayed here and when we were told he received a few stitches and was doing fine, when we picked him up it was quite the opposite. No apology has yet to come from Lone Star Dog Ranch. Unless you're wanting to drop your dog off for a horrible stay, do not use Lone Star Dog Ranch to board your dog.

I struggle to give them one star. I posted the pick of the dog I took to the ranch and the dog I picked up-Not a good experience at All! Buddy was set to stay for 7 days- I had gone through the demeanor check making sure he could hang out with different dogs and it went great- I left him on a Tuesday then I got that dreadful call you Never want on vacation (later realizing they call 2hours after the incident) Your dog is OK but there has been an incident- he has a couple lacerations and we took him to the vet for a couple stitches- if you look at the pictures- A Bit More involved than that! We drive 12 hours the next day from Albuquerque to Anna finally going to arrive about 9:30pm but i am told I can't get my dog- the owner Renee, says she has waited long enough for me and must go to her granddaughter's play- I have never met her and SEVERAL people live on the premises and could give me my dog! She said I had to come at 8am -Which I did! No one that knew what happened was there that morning that knew what Happened- they paid the $575 vet bill(which is way too low for what he did) but did charge me for boarding! From the initial phone call it is clearly stated that it was ALL Buddy's fault- It is Pack mentality there -all size dogs together with a couple adults over seeing them- Thank God one person was there to jump in and stop the fight- Buddy apparently trying to hump another small dog trying to establish the pecking order got rebuked (staff word) by the other dog - Buddy yelped and ran so other dogs took off after him- They said he was now prey! Apparently 2dogs got to him and you now see the results- In the initial phone call I am quickly told due to Buddy's behavior he will not be able to come back!! LOL You thought I was coming back?! The 2 dogs that attack him had a couple scraps they said because we asked and they were isolated for A Day! Good Luck other dogs being boarded! They Only time the owner talked to me was to tell me I could not pick him up that night! No One I repeat No one showed remorse for what happened to Buddy- no compassion- No I hate this happened- Nothing!! No video because they do not have video and no pics because no one was taking pics- I know their pics are automatically taken- check them- motion activated pics! You look closely and decide if your dog will be OK with 50-60 dogs of all sizes running free in pack mode. I Made A Bad Choice and Will Always Regret it! Don't Do it!Buddy it recovering but has No Idea why that happened! You look at the pics

Best daycare and boarding spot. One of our three pups came from their rescue, and is pretty much a celebrity there. Love this place, and recommend it.

I appreciate the lone star dog ranch for treating my dog that was being boarded like their own. He had accidentally injury that occurred and the staff noticed he wasn't acting right and his leg was injured. They got him taken care and treated for the injury as I was out of town and could not be there. I really appreciate the staff taking the initiative and taking care of him. If you want your dog to be treated like family and also enjoy a large out door area to play when you're out of town, I'd definitely recommend this place for boarding
