Anytime I’ve had a problem with my washer/dryer or just have large items to wash I come here. The staff are super friendly and will help you out if you need any guidance. I’ve also discovered there are three days out of the month that if you come in you can do your laundry for free.
They were even serving donuts on a morning I was there. The equipment is well maintained and the building is always clean and A/C cool. This is the only place around my area I will use.

I'm from out of town and googled this place to find it, absolutely love it! Super clean and friendly environment. The attendant was a very nice lady I didn't ask her name but was extremely helpful. I will be coming back here when in town again.

Update: unfortunately, this is not going to be a good update. I’m not certain what happened or why it happened…. Kind of hard not to take it personal.I went back to South Georgia laundry on 45th St. in Amarillo Texas this evening to do my laundry.. I am a advocate of shopping local. I believe in helping each other out small business to small business. It’s important to me, so I was kind of excited that I had found this local laundromat to do business with.It was not the same attendant from my first visit. Of course, there are more than one employee. This evening it was Betty I believe she said her name was and her husband. They both seemed nice. We were conversing laughing and I thought enjoying a conversation.I did take one of the mobile carts outside to get my laundry out of my vehicle and bring it into the laundromat. Betty promptly followed me out the door grabging the cart stadium she had to be with the cart at all times if it were outside, she went on to say the carts were not allowed outside because they might hit a vehicle, and they, south Georgia laundry, would be liable. Makes sense. Mind you I left it on the sidewalk and did not take it into the parking lot. But who am I to argue.. policy and it’s their business not mine. I’m just a paying customer. It wasn’t a big deal. I didn’t think.. I put my laundry in the basket as she continued to hold onto it and we both pulled that cart right into the laundromat… It was a team effort…. Lol.. I thought anyway.. I laughed it off, apologized and thought everything was OK. It was now 8 PM, I knew they close at 10 PM. I had checked earlier, knowing the hour, and making certain that I would have enough time to get my laundry done. There is also a sign clearly posted, referencing the same. It also stated the last watch should go in no later than 8:15 in the last dryer at 9:15. Pretty simple… Didn’t give it much thought. I had plenty of time. I did let both attendants know I was aware of the hour. I immediately started talking washers. If I need to fold my clothes at home that would be fine. As long as I can get them washed and dryed, no big deal. I certainly didn’t expect anyone to stay past closing. I made it clear from the beginning. We, the three of us were conversing, laughing, talking about our dogs and our horses and other common things we were laughing everything seemed fine. Then Becky got a phone call, after that her complete demeanor changed. She was short, abrupt, and clearly frustrated at me!?? She was clearly annoyed, and she very directly informed me the owner told her to tell me that the last wash is at 8:15. She went on to say I probably wouldn’t have time to dry my clothes!! What? It’s not even 830 yet.. Becky then quit talking to me. Clearly I was being told to leave. When the washers we’re done, I took my wet clothes, put them in my baskets, got them in my vehicle, without using a mobile cart!, btw.. and left. I don’t know if they wanted to close early. I don’t know why her boss would take issue with the time, I was within the time posted. Why was this even an issue? No clue. In conclusion; there are plenty of other laundromats. If I’m not the kind of customer they want enter establishment. I certainly do not have to be. Whatever so much for shopping, local and supporting other small businesses. What was I thinking?

I came to George Laundry, because where I usually go was so busy. I was delighted to see that they had ample washers and dryers. Not a one size fits all at all. They had four different sizes of washers for different size loads. The dryers were not so hot that they burned my clothes. even the clientele seemed a cut above where I’m used to doing laundry. I’m not even using a laundromat for very long, so I really didn’t know that there was much of a difference. I’ll learned something this trip. I’ve found a new place to do my laundry!! the equipment is very up-to-date and clean! I was so impressed with how clean the entire place work and they’re equipment. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful and pleasant. They also do a wash dry fold service. I’m not sure the pricing on that but I will take advantage of the need arise. I had a couple of questions that were addressed mediately with common sense and professionalism. It’s a pleasure giving good reviews. I enjoy that and this one is certainly deserved. No complaints!!

My dryer recently went out and while waiting on it to get resolved, I found myself needing a laundromat. Excellent place! Even though they were recently flooded, they were back up and rolling! The tile had been removed due to the water damage, but you could hardly tell they had had any damage. AC cooled, clean and well maintained with a bathroom, coin changer, laundry detergent, laundry booster, fabric softner and other dispensers for your convenience. Pop and candy vending machines and coin operated games. They have a drop off service as well.I can tell they keep this place clean consistently. The attendants were really helpful and polite. They have simple coin operated washers and dryers without all the bells and whistles, which I appreciated after a recent encounter with a money card operated laundromat. They also have the big load washers as well with all the bells and whistles as well, but I did not need those. I did have to add my fabric softner when the rinse cycle started as they did not have a dispenser for it, but that seems to keep a patron alert to their laundry and thus keep people from leaving laundry to long (if they want their clothes softened). ?I never made it to the back, but I saw a picnic style table with benches back there and additional machines. I will be back!
