No electrify America chargers here. Got in at 2am thinking there was one bc that’s what’s advertised and there isn’t. I had 1% battery and had to find a diff charger in town and didn’t make it back to my room until 4am bc of it. Also my shower was full of dirt and there was spilled sticky coffee all over floor and now sticky on my shoes. If you’re charging an EV in general, avoid this hotel, 99% of the time big trucks will be parked in the charger spots

Stayed one night, and it was a great experience. Check in was seamless, room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was really good! Freshly made eggs, bacon and biscuits. EV charger was a plus too.

Had a great stay at this location. Excellent location for stay. There are so many things just minutes away. The hot tub was my favorite. After a day of hiking, Palo Duro canyon. Soaking in 101-degree bubbles was amazing. The bed were comfortable, and the room was clean. Breakfast was delicious as always. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. P.s. the tvs in the bathroom was my daughter's favorite

We booked our room through Expedia, we had 2 options. A two bed standard room costing $135 including all fees OR a 1 bed standard room. We booked the 1 bed for $155 as I’ve recently has a total shoulder replacement and have to sleep a certain way. We arrived and AFTER the lady checked us in told us we were getting the 2 bed room, I told her that is NOT what we booked, she told us “well that’s what we have so that’s what you get” we then asked for the price to be changed as we were being put into a cheaper room to which she responded “sorry, nothing I can do, have a good night” simply dismissing us extremely rudely. I came back down to show her our receipts and room details, once again, I got nothing but attitude. We were not looking for anything more than paying the proper amount for the room we were placed in. No “let’s talk to the manager in the morning” or even an “I’m sorry for the inconvenience”!!! The next morning we called the manager who basically told us “you booked with Expedia, that’s the chance you take, you should have called the hotel and booked through us” I also informed him that the lady the previous night was extremely rude, nothing about reprimanding her but that was not our main issue, also the bathtub wouldn’t drain properly and had to stand in dirty bath water as we showered. In their defense I never brought this up to them. How is this good business?!? Isn’t this main business HOSPITALITY and CUSTOMER SERVICE? How this particular hotel got such high ratings is beyond my understanding. What we experienced was nothing short of bad business practices. We should NOT have to double check on something we booked, had receipts for and room details on, why would we unless it was misleading on purpose, a scam. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else. How can we book one room, get a totally different CHEAPER room and still pay the higher price. It’s bad business practices. We will not be staying at a holiday inn again…..they lost a customer for life, who travels A LOT. Hope the $20 was worth it.

I was not given a choice of amenity points were the snack/drink. I wasn't bothered as normally the items go to points.
In the end I received neither.

This was the last hotel for us on a 29 day trip. (17 different hotels) and was one of the nicest! We require a mobility assistive room and they had one available. The room was nice and spacious, the bathroom was perfect for our needs and the only 2 complaints that I had was the water pressure was a little on the light side, and breakfast started to late on the weekend. We needed to be on the road by 7:00 and breakfast didn't start until 7:00.
Staff was wonderful and place was clean and didn't smell (as many other hotels did). I LOVED the bed/Pillows as they were soft and perfect. All in all a GREAT place to stay!

We had a one night stop over in Amarillo, In our experience IHG hotels are predictably clean, comfortable, well located with friendly staff. We were a little surprised to find it situated adjacent to the original Route 66 location, Todd and Buzz wouldn't recognize the road (which tells you how old I am) but it was an interesting historical tie bit. Access to and from I-40 was easy in the Texas fashion (frontage roads forever). There were several great places to eat nearby and the staff was quite helpful in making suggestions. Their breakfast was the usual fare with the Southwest omelet being quite good, IHG did not disappoint us.
Noteworthy details: The hotel is located on Route 66 (I-40 runs on or adjacent to the original route) and there are several Route 66 high points closely including the Cadillac Ranch. Seeing those old caddy's buried nose first and covers in graffiti was the highlight of our day.

Plenty of parking, quiet at night, and breakfast was very convenient since we were just traveling through. Had a hiccup on check-in but did not have any other gripe besides that. Check out is as quick as you make it. Without a doubt, I would book again if traveling through in the future.

Great experience! We were on a week long road trip and stayed in various hotels/chains along the way. This specific location was the most impressive. Very clean, very quiet, very good sleep.

This place had a horrible musty smell that hit us in the face walking in the lobby. Halls, elevator, everything.
Smell was so bad we canceled our stay on return trip and changed to hyatt place.
Front desk wasnt super friendly.
Water pressure in shower was unusually very low, could hardly take a shower.
May be coincidence regarding smell, but water seemed to be coming out of every corner outside of hotel when we left at 6am. Almost like AC condensate or something, running out into parking lot and surrounding grass. An unusual amount, enough to take notice.
If you have to stop in amarillo, stay at hyatt place on west end - it is very nice, clean, and staff is great.
We will never stay at a holiday inn express again.
