Not the place to go if you have dog. They have a sign in the lobby that says "we love pets" but they charge a $75 pet cleaning fee so they can't possibly love them that much.Town place suites across the street has a cheaper pet fee, more affordable rooms in general, and is nicer so I would recommend going there instead.

This facility is declining in franchise quality. Sooner it changes the better for the customer.A customer parked at the entrance, entered the facility, returned to his vehicle with a coffee cup and began shooting up a huge pipe of some material in his vehicle under the canopy.

Stayed one night. King bed was firm, but comfortable. Beds very clean. Breakfast area was clean, and the food was delicious. Furniture in room, bathroom...dated and a bit worn. Bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand lotion! Carpets in hallways HUGE tripping hazard as they were rippled so badly it was difficult to roll luggage cart. (Elderly folk could easily fall) Easy to hear people walking upstairs and down hall. Room rate a bit high for the updating needed.Nearby activities: Cadillac ranch 8 miles away...close!Food & drinks: Breakfast delicious. Clean area. Haufbrau Steak house close and quick. Relaxed dress code. Food good.

wow. It appears they are building a new Hampton Inn Amarillo West very close to this one and I hope they blow this building up. I would suggest staying at either the Home2 or Homewood Suites nearby until the new Hampton is open. In other words, don't stay here, they are letting the building fall apart. My husband and I travel full time and literally live in Hilton properties so I don't take a bad review lightly; I usually love them, they are a good compromise between being nice enough and cost (looking at you, Marriott). The bad: This building is a mess: lights out in the stairwells, emergency exit doors marked out of order, pot holes all over the driveway and parking lot, curtains falling off the rods, ventilation in the pool room is clearly broken... I could go on. Everything is just worn out, tired, patched together with spackle, and funky. In its day this was probably a pretty nice Hampton Inn, but today it's not even close to Hilton standards. The good: Hubby points out that most things actually mostly work, like the pool and hot tub, the old-school a/c unit on the wall was fine, and the elevators, though creepily noisy, do go up and down. Also good, the staff was friendly and is likely trying with what they've got, though I've never seen another Hampton where they started picking up breakfast (which was standard for a Hampton, so no knocks there) before the official end at 9, and they did here.Fingers crossed the new one opens soon.Walkability: don't know this part of town, but walkable to some restaurants.Food & drinks: breakfast was fine, standard for a Hampton inn.

Staff was friendly. Parking was difficult. The room was very stuffy with no way to ventilate it. The breakfast was disappointing… they were out of coffee. I definitely wouldn’t stay there again.Rooms: Basic Hampton Inn. My room was stuffy and in disrepair.

WORST HOTEL EVER!I have stayed in hotels in third world countries and they were better than this dump.First, the entrance is littered with dog poop --- this is a pet friendly hotel, but there are not facilities to bag poop or to throw it away. (see pics)Second, there is not enough parking and what is there is poorly lit. When I asked at the front desk about parking, they said "just find something around here." Around here meant other properties parking!Third, the property is unkept with weeds growing everywhere (see pics). The room and hallways were worn out to say the least. Bubbled carpet in halls and torn carpet in the room. The cherry on top was when I mention this to the front desk, the person got defensive ("what's wrong with this hotel?!?"), and then said the hotel was going to start renovations next week. My guess is this last one is probably a lie they tell to anyone that complains.I raised this issue to Hilton corporate. They sent this info to the hotel and they have REFUSED to make anything right.STAY AWAY!!!!Safety: See comment about about parking

The place is good enough. Clean. Spacious enough. But THERES NO MICROWAVE IN THE ROOM. So there was a line to heat up our dinner that we actually bought at the desk.Ridiculous.Rooms: NO MICROWAVE

The hotel was really run down. Landscaping was just all weeds. Not up to hampton inn standards.

This was neither business or pleasure. I was moving and we stopped for the nightRooms: Clean and plenty of room. Bed is firm.Noteworthy details: They don't leave those tiny bottles of shampoo, conditioner and lotion and the tiny skin drying soap bar. They have pump bottles attached to the wall. Didn't have to make coffee on the bathroom vanity either.

The hotel is very outdated and needs a refresh. The rooms have some serious signs of wear. The staff was very friendly but that’s about the only thing that is nice about this place.Rooms: The rooms are in poor condition. Very old and outdated condition.
