“The closest United to where I live, and the service has pretty much always been excellent. The store hasn't been remodeled or updated much (visibly) inside or outside, aside from the checkout lines (with the self-checkout lanes having been added) and the addition of new door operated freezer units being placed, so I give it a 4 star total for this reason. Would do a 4.5 if able, but it isn't an option. Great place otherwise, and we often do our shopping business (in part) here, as we have for over 30-50 years.”
“We found most of what we needed. But what was strange is we have always been able to buy the big containers of Ester C at a decent price but now they do not carry the large containers anymore and the price has skyrocketed.”
“This is one busy store in Amarillo with isles crowded and check stands backed up in lines waiting to be scanned and bagged, then pay up leaving the store and the shopping crowds. Market Street quality and dynamic location bring in the foot traffic with consistent regularity demonstrating Quality, Service and Value. Full service departments include bakery, meat, produce, wine and beer and complete grocery and home goods type products. Starbucks is available for a necessary coffee break wìth a busy shopping experience. And don't forget to gas up on your way home to complete a one-stop shop lifestyle that many of us work and live our too busy lives in daily. Market Street offers a fantastic service to hard-working Amarillo residents.”
“By far the best United Supermarkets I've ever been to. I drive from Canyon to shop here anytime I need groceries. As someone with lots of food allergies, the gluten free section here is so so helpful. I highly recommend this grocery store. It's the only place I go anymore!”
“Awesome little grocery store with tons of authentic Mexican goods. Fresh produce and a great meat counter. They have a good selection of canned food, condiments and sauces, as well as some frozen foods including cheese and chorizo. Good selection of beer. They also had an isle with household items like paper towels, paper plates, laundry soap, dishwashing soap, hair jell, a few quarts of motor oil, and other miscellaneous things. Amazing selection of baked goods as well, I had a warm lunch under $4. My only complaint is that some items were missing the price tag, I do however love that each item has its own price tag, makes it very easy to keep track of how much I'm spending.”

“One of the main reasons that I visit this store is because of the people. It feels like home. I love visiting with the sackers and checkout people it still has a small hometown feeling to it. I might pay a little more at this store than others but it's worth it for the service.
When I've had a long day, I go here to relax and unwind. Everything is clean and tidy!”

“A small but super-stocked place, special for its meats, and Mexican and Hispanic ingredients. I was surprised by all the variety of meats. I'm from Costa Rica and I was looking for a typical sauce from my country and luckily I found it here.”
“Beautiful store! Meat & produce were above average! I hope the merger only makes United even better. It's ok to be part of a big chain but it's better for everyone if Kroger lets the panhandle krogers continue to cater to the unique needs of this part of the world!”

“What a great little market. Very clean. The women are the check out was very sweet. They pretty much have everything you need to make your Asian dinner. Meat and vegetables were very fresh. English is spoken here. Enjoy”
“**EDITED TO UPDATE**
They put the Mineragua on sale because they've boosted the prices; also the quesadilla cheese in the green package is a bad price. They had a 2 for $7 deal but the packages are only 7 oz. a piece which means $7 for 14 oz WHEN on sale, vs. the Wally world where it is a 16 oz bag that runs about $5.85. That's convenience store mark-ups and not really ethical.
The produce selection here is not my favorite, it seems limited. Also the freezers always cover the cartons of ice cream in a good layer of frost, so that could be adjusted.
Also the "readymade" section is quite a bit smaller than other stores. The new store manager seems pretty nice though”

“The baklava is very good and sold by the pound. I highly recommend it. Hard to find middle eastern and southeast asian food can be found here. This is a family business and kept spotless. The Nan Bread is fresh and I also recommend.”

“We ordered two cakes from the bakery and you have to go to the register to pay, but the person working at the bakery should have mentioned to get a duplicate receipt because they keep your original. How are they supposed to know you are the person picking up the cakes you paid for without the receipt.”

“Best pharmacy I’ve ever been to in amarillo. The staff is so nice and very knowledgeable. They also fill prescriptions faster than most pharmacies. There isn’t a drive through, but this pharmacy is so great that I don’t mind walking inside.”
“United is really making strides to make River Road the best United location in the area! The outer facade has been improved and the new doors on the dairy/frozen foods sections look great! The staff is funny and courteous, and the BOGO specials in the meat section are good deals! I love this United!”
“Market Street always clean and in general I have no complaints about the overall layout of the store. Employees are also generally nice and I've never had an issue interacting with them whether at the registers or on the floor. Market Street major negative is that everyone in the world shops here so if you don't plan your trip here at a decent time, you could find the shelves bare. It also seems like such a struggle to make an in and out trip into this store, even when only grabbing an item or two. The prices can be a little over the top, so Market Street really just my backup store or if I'm looking for an interesting spice or sauce or something that I couldn't find at another store. They always seem to have it!”
“My own experience with this store was that it had everything I needed, and the cashier I checked out with was very kind. My only complaint would be that the fruit and veggies area was messy and had onion peels everywhere, making the floor slippery. 4.5/5”

“Good store but I do not like only having self check out available at almost all times but not having regular register. At least have one or two registers open I understand if it’s nine or 10 o’clock and you’re closing in an hour or two and only having open only self check out but it’s ridiculous when it’s six in the afternoon and there’s no one on a regular register find. sometimes buying over $100 groceries and I do not wanna and to check out for 10 minutes trying to check out myself I’m having to wait for someone to come and clear my thing when something goes wrong. It’s just a really frustrating.”

“I want to say I have gone twice to store 52 on river road in Amarillo Tx and comparing to all the toot'n totum stores I have been to that has been the most cleanest and this is an old store but it's not what looks on the outside it's what you walk into and see the inside I was very amazed only one person was working and the store looked fabulous.”
