I've been here twice, and honestly the steak flavor far exceeded what I expected. The first time I got a 50 oz lol. It was amazing. I finished the entire thing. The sides were good too, and the atmosphere was incredible. The service was on point as well. I will be back.

Winter weather made our travel time not ideal. We came late... 30 minutes before closing on a BUSY Saturday night. We did not make a reservation and we were not on the wait list. We were seated anyway, thank goodness. Our waiter (Jose Reyes) was simply fantastic. It was late and I know he was tired, but he was patient and friendly. He also gave killer recommendations. We knew we ended up being there well after their closing time but he kept apologizing to us for the wait time, running out of tea, etc... what manners and service. We were not bothered by any of it- we were the ones stopping him from going home. The last time we were here was five years ago while pregnant with our youngest. He was able to eat the onion rings I've been telling him about all this time. There was also an officer at the door who may have been the friendliest person we've met in all of Texas. Both he and Jose made this a memorable trip. This is a lovely place and I'm glad we were able to return.

Sooo delicious!! Best ribs that I have EVER had hands down. It's a pretty cool place, there's a shop inside to look around while you wait and I think a bar as well but it looked not very busy or might have been closed when I went. I would definitely eat here again. I think about these ribs a lot.

The service was amazing. which is the only reason I'm giving a 3 star rating. I ordered the filet mignon dish cooked medium rare. the steak, while very tasty, was not a filet cut. i was very disappointed. plus it was medium to medium well NOT medium rare. very tough. very not up to standard! The sautéed mushrooms are to die for, onions not so much. Sweet potatoe was yummy. beefsteak tomato and onion was a no. We didn't order dessert, but the iced tea was surprisingly good. While I cannot recommend this as a good steak house, if you want an experience (ambience) it has that. And again, service was excellent. best I've had in a long time.

Great steaks and decent beer. We eat there every time we pass through Amarillo. Cool restaraunt

Food: ordered bone in ribeye medium rare, but got medium well. Wife ordered her sirloin medium, first steak came out tasting like it had been sitting on the fridge for a few days, got a new one and it was barely cooked and chewy, saved it for the dog. We both ordered baked potatoes, we were told only one was left. Definitely a disappointment from all that was advertised. Service: waitress was very good and cater to my child, definitely not her fault of kitchen staff shortcomings. Floor manager looked and acted like she did not wanted to be there Ambiance: nice tourist stop, lots of things to look at and take pictures.

The food was terrible. Please don't leave here thinking this is what food tastes like in Texas. My 13 year old compared his chicken fried steak to the one at his school lunch, "just not as good". My T bone steak was thin and of low quality. The cook did do a good job cooking it and the seasoning was fine. All the sides looked like they came from a frozen bag. Several people in our group had cold food which should not have been cold. Atmosphere was as advertised. Please just don't actually consume food here. If you do, please don't say you did and call it food from Texas. Love our state enough to not bring that shame down on it.

Food was horrible... to be a Texan that's embarrassing to the tourist that come and go. Service was about like anywhere else. They are slammed and overworked I'm sure. We didn't even eat 1/3 of our food. Let's say 2 bites from the chicken fried chicken more breading than meat and paper thin. Yes huge but no flavor and disgusting. The cheesy potato's were so dry it wasn't funny and had to add two butters from the table to make them even edible. The fries from a bag were just that frozen. My chicken fried steak was a hamburger Pattie frozen and had about an inch of breading no flavor. His chili corn was full of stems. For two ppl to eat and two drinks and an appetizer skip them by all means. We got our appetizer about 6min before our food and the onion rings were cold and old and the other couple with us got cheese sticks and those were cold and weird taste to them. Anyhow we paid $85 for two ppl for not eating. She asked us if we wanted to go boxes and we said " oh gosh no it wasn't good at all!" She didn't care. The best part was the rolls fresh and good and the gift shop that was very packed but good and all the sites to see. Never would go back ever. It is kind of dark in spots in there ppl were using there flashlight on phone to read menu. Very very loud and busy. But neat and interesting. We went over 4yrs ago and it was better then I think then this time. We tried to tell someone about our experience but wasn't going to wait all day. The waitress was amazing and tried her best for sure.

Always been a fan of kitschy stuff. Touristy things and tourist traps. All that jazz. Enjoyed my time here as a whole. Place was packed but dining solo on a road trip, only took about 20 minutes for a seat, which allowed me to truly take in the place in all its kitschy glory. Staff was great: attentive, friendly, fun, professional. Food was solid: nice steak cooked just how I like it. Good fresh salad. Big side of mashed potatoes and gravy. Warm roll to sop everything up with. Cold beer. Best steak ever? Naw. Damn good meal that hit the spot after a long day on the road? Heck yeah.

Definitely recommend checking this place out if you are in Amarillo. We were seated quickly on a Friday night. I got the 8oz sirloin which was good. Mac n cheese tasted like the shells brand so wouldn't recommend. But the cheesy potatoes were really good. Raspberry wheat beer is good. There is a "band" that will come to your table and sing you a song. They also have the 72oz steak challenge which I watched two people do.

Busy place, and a bit gimmicky with the 72oz steak eating challenge we ordered our steaks medium and medium rare - and what we got was a thin, dry well done sirloin (that was the medium) and a medium (for the medium rare). When I told the waitress, she acted like she didn't really know what to do about it I gave my medium steak to my husband, gave the waitress the well done and asked for a medium RARE steak... And then it took so much time to get the medium rare steak served, I was eating alone with cold side dishes. Not a place we'd return to. Also the circus of over indulging 72oz steak plus side dishes to get a free meal is not entertaining but rather gross

This place is way overrated. It is a tourist trap. Steaks are good, but customer service was bad on my visit. Gift store is overpriced. They sit you at shared tables in chairs that have been there probably since they opened many decades ago. It can be fun, I suppose, but it is really a place to take your Benjamins if you are not self-restrained. Lots of young people working as servers. They don't know how to give good service. The young person serving my shared table dropped the plate on the table causing every thing to shift on the plate. Didn't even say sorry. Really, an over-hyped place.

What is not to like, DELICIOUS beef, the green chili cream corn is incredibly tasty. The alcohol drinks aren't anything special but WHO CARES, everything else is perfect. I do prefer the coconut cake over the chocolate but that's me, not a fan of Hershey syrup, if you ask them they will give you grated horseradish which I like better than the horseradish cream sauce. The bread is very special. So soft so warm so Nom worthy. Been here twice and loved both times, will always stop and eat here when passing through. AND THE MOTEL IS FANTASTIC, CLEAN AFFORDABLE AND VERY PET FRIENDLY. In an age where MOST places don't welcome pets this place does for a small agreeable amount. THANK YOU ALL, especially Hanna who helped us check in today.
