I travel around in an RV and use laundromats often. I needed to wash a large, heavy blanket and quilted bed cover and that means a large washing machine each. Hood Street Laundromat is in an older building with heavy duty commercial washers. I didn't count the washers but there were over 20 dryers and there was not one "out of order" sign on any of them. The floors, folding tables, and machines were clean. There is an attendant on duty (for assistance and laundry drop off). There's plenty of parking around the building and chairs inside and outside. I would recommend and use this laundromat again.

With all the washaterias in Alvin save your money and go elsewhere! Rude, greedy owners. Old owners were great (miss Gayle) are not there anymore - new Asian owners wife- this lady was downright ugly and quick got a rude attitude when I told her none of the washers had hot water and I needed that after having the flu and wanting to clean everything good. She argued with me and raised her voice telling me I was wrong! Then they have the dryers turned down so low so you have to spend more money to get your stuff dry! Terrible and robbing people blind. I go to the new washateria on hwy 6 now, much better and they appreciate your business .

Nice clean little laundromat. But Maps asked a question about wheelchair accessibility, I think it is accessible but it will be rough.

Stick with the small washing machines as they are the more efficient machines. I would skip the largest machines as they are $7.00 a load and they are not efficient. The clothes came out of that machine very wet, requiring extra time in the dryer. The small washing machines are $2.50 a load, the medium size machines are $4.75. Dryers are .25 cents for 5 minutes.The liquid dispensers in some machines were moldy.

I was in town for work, paid the lady 104.00 to do all my laundry, she called when the laundry was done and I picked it up, I opened the laundry to put it away once I got back to my RV, it was still damp, so I had to lay everything out and allow it to dry before I put it away. So disappointed to say the least, if I have to go back to Alvin Texas for work I will find a full service laundry that also dries the laundry.

Terrible lady that runs the place Always with a scowl Stands over you to make sure you don't spill one drop of soap powder Rude Tried to tell me to use the $5 machines when I clearly could have used the $3 ones Won't go back Terrible experience

This place is awesome. I had seen it a few years before and wish I had come in sooner. We have our own washer and dryer at home, but we have a huge California King size comforter. I mean huge, as in sleepcoma fluffy huge....no pun intended ?. This place has large washers and dryers that are actually big enough to accommodate it. I have been to a lot of laundromats back when we were renting and they would have broken down washers, dryers that did not dry very well, it was dirty, etc. This place is so much nicer. It's not new looking, but everything is obviously kept in good condition, well taken care of, and cleaned on a regular basis. I am using this place from now on anytime we need to go to a laundromat as long as we live in the general area. And I like that an employee is here in case I need to run errands while my stuff is washing so I do not have to worry about things being stolen.

Could work on better customer service skills with how the owner talks to people. The short white haired lady with the glasses is very rude & condescending. I walked all the way down the street to get quarters to do laundry at my apartment only to tell me that I have to do my laundry there at the laundromat. Obviously I can’t carry 4 baskets of laundry on foot. Shame on her.

I had been bringing my clothes there for wash and fold service four times due to my washing machine being inoperable. I opened a brand new $399 set of Tencel California King sheet set to be placed on my brand new tempurpedic bed I was delivered today. When I got home with my laundry they were ruined with bleach stains all over them. I am so upset!! I called the very sweet lady at the laundromat and she said she did not do it. When I asked her how it happened she said she did not know. I told her they were brand new. She said "I did not do it". I had never had any issues with any laundry with them until today. So I would warn anyone to not drop anything that you cannot live with bleach stains on there. I even sent photos and got no reply.

Awesome ladies, very clean facility, dryers 1 quarter for 5 minutes, single front loaders $2.75 plus extra large machines for quilts, can soda machine $.75. Drop off wash, dry, fold services available too.
