I have lived in Alvin from before grade school till well out of high school. I have been to this shelter several times throughout all those years and do not have a negative comment about them. I have spent the last 10 years of my life traveling the nation and am back now. No where has the issue with stray animals as the South does. All you people leaving bad reviews need to re-read your review and realize you need to take responsibility. Stop expecting others to do so. We all need to contribute to solve this issue. I own land in Orange TX and here in Alivn TX and the amount of Texans/Louisianans dropping stray animals off at my properties is disgusting. I have rehomed several animals myself. Without anyone's help. Spent my own money and my time to save these animals that were not my responsibility to begin with because of Texans with the same mindset as the ones who left these bad reviews here. Take responsibility for the animals people. It's not difficult. I have been doing it since I was a teen. Spay and neuter your pets to avoid unwanted litters.

Honestly would give 0 stars, I take in a lost dog to help and can’t find her family on Facebook so I come here and they say they can’t take any dogs and say to go to a rescue. Only thing they did was check for chip. I feel if they were nice about it I would have been fine but they were rude, and treated me like trash. Also this dog was found in Alvin so it’s not found out of y’all’s jurisdiction, she needs a home. When I see a dog in need, I rehabilitate them, help them and if I can’t find its owner, the shelter is the best choice. This shelter is horrible and I don’t recommend.

Best decision to come here to adopt a cat, we had a hard time picking one because they were all so eager and happy to meet us. Ultimately we made our choice and have not regretted a minute of it. Our girl is so sweet and playful, literally the perfect cat. Thank you guys for raising her for 8 months (she was born in this shelter) I can tell the staff cares for these ani.als because of our little treasure.

Got both my babies here, this is the cleanest, friendliest shelter I’ve been to and I’m so glad they were able to help me find the most perfect puppies.❤️❤️

They have no empathy for the ferral cat issues.. even when they rely on the public to support them and those who have supported their facilities. If Manvel is not your jurisdiction beware to anyone else in Manvel that wishes to contribute to their facility.

The staff at Alvin adoption center is always extremely helpful, and informative. We have had a wonderful experience every time we’ve stepped foot in this facility. I would 1000% recommend getting your next furry friend from Alvin Animal Adoption Center! ♥️ Thank you guys so much for what you do for the community!

The staff and management of Alvin Animal Adoption Center are top notch! The staff here are all friendly while taking excellent care of their animals. Vet care is provided promptly. Autumn M went above and beyond for us and our pup which made rescuing her a seamless and fun process. Would definitely recommend adopting from this shelter!

Took kittens in to try and find them a new home. An older lady in her 40s told me that if they take them in they are going to be put down. Little kittens like c'mon. Anyway y'all are going to be in the news soon cause I put y'all in the spotlight

The staff here is so kind and friendly,, it's clean with a very calm energy.. all of the cats we looked at we're very well cared for while waiting for a home.. We recently adopted a very young kitten who's mother was rejecting him from nursing. The process was simple. We drove over an hour to give this baby a good home. We will be going back if we add to our family.
