After extensive research on an island residential solar inverter.I went with the sol-ark-12kw EMP. My installer contacted them to make sure it would work with my current whole house system and generator activation. Solark tec support reviewed the plan and said it would work for a whole house system with standby generator.(email documented) After purchase we saw it was only capable of 37.5 amp output. Far cry from what we were told (whole house). After 15 or so calls to solark and 12+ viocemails. The only real person I talked with was the receptionist who was very sympathetic that I still had not talked to a single person at solark, and none had returned my calls/voicemails.I did talk to one who said he would call me later. Never happened all I wanted was to return the 12kw for a 15kw. EMP. And get an ETA for the new unit to reschedule my installer. This took 4 days and had to pay the return shipping of $200 and a 3% credit card fee to get the larger inverter! No apology, no waiver of the CC fee, no free shipping label to return the wrong product they sold me. After arrival of the new 15kw the installers tried several times for tec support. They hit the same walls I did with nobody returning or answering calls!!It took nearly 1week for them to get me an ETA for my installer. The equipment is amazing! The company and responce time for a customer that just spent $9,000 on their product is disparingly inept! We also noted with the extra charge of $1,500. This purchase of the EMP hardened unit there were (no instructions on how to install the external EMP components!) Nearing the end of install I received an email that the external EMP components were to be mounted to each solar panel that had already been installed! Now we needed o remove and reinstall each panel !! I was Furious. I emailed solark and was now told quote from Sean Miller Operatiins Director with Sol-Ark, (it is not required but is suggested!) So I paid $1,500 for not required but suggested Emp instalation onmy Panels ?????So why did it cost me an extra $1,500 for the external part that goes ON the panels is suggested???? Is their EMP hardened inverter a SCAM??IT HAS NO Instructions? And vague emails!Needless to say !We will not be moving forward with solark with our future comercial instals. The 1 star is for product! The customer support star! You can decide!!Charles ShottonMissouri

After several months of reviewing many of the inverters on the market and watching countless hours of YouTube it became clear to me that Sol-Ark was the choice for me. I called up the support team to just some basic questions as I was a total noob to the solar game. The were both quick to answer the phone but eager to help me with everything I wanted to know. They did not team me like an idiot who was asking dumb questions, instead they genuinely walked me through each of them and not only gave me an answer but explained why they thought it was the right answer for my situation. My Wife and I built EVERYTHING ourselves, a 17,300w Ground Mount Array from Iron Ridge (Another fantastic company BTW) out in our field, wired up 6 SOK Batteries, and the 2 Sol-Ark 15K units. When it came time to power it up for the first time on a Saturday... Sol-Ark team was there to answer my call, they helped me update to the latest firmware, program all the settings over the phone, even helped debug a few tweaks we had to make. Just AMAZING People, who love the company they work for, and it shows in their attitudes and eagerness to help.I could go on and on, but suffice to say I made the RIGHT DECISION going with Sol-Ark. The system has been up and running for 5 days now and we could not me more pleased with the ease of DIY installation, performance of the 15K's and peace in knowing that a fantastic company that stand behind its products is just a call away should I ever need them.Special thanks to Andrew G & Bruce M for going above and beyond!

I researched solar systems for months comparing different technical aspects of all involved equipment. I watched YouTube videos, read reviews, read install/technical manuals and talked with anyone that knew anything about solar. I then started requesting bids from contractors for their recommendations on equipment/install location/cabling runs. Of course, I received a wide array of responses from companies all over the area. A couple actually came out, one did a “zoom” call and one just did a quick initial bid over email while wanting $500 to come out to do a site survey to go any further. That last company was out of the running immediately! The only one that actually listened to my thoughts/concerns was New Hope Solar. Our solar system has been installed for a few days so only time will really tell how the equipment holds up. I just know the Sol-Ark 15K was the inverter I was leaning towards after all the research and New Hope Solar is a gold star installer. They deserve the gold star in my opinion after working with Pete during the whole process, from start to finish. We have the Sol-Ark 15K inverter, 32 Qcell panels, seasonably adjusted Sinclair ground mount and 30Kw of EG4-LL rack mounted batteries. This system handles our whole, fully electric house without any problems.I am not sure what else I can say to make this a more “glowing” review! Sol-Ark and New Hope Solar can handle all of your solar power needs.

Sol-Ark provided great customer support with setting up my 15K inverter. The inverter itself is fantastic in a grid tied configuration with batteries. If only my electric company were half as responsive...

Our Sol-ark is fantastic! Just got it a few weeks ago and so far so good! The company is very responsive and communicative. They have so many great resources and videos for educational purposes. The electricians and solar installers have been saying such wonderful things about the system. We have the 15k inverter with 20 480w panels and 2 4kwh batteries. The transfer over to batteries happens almost instantly. Looking forward to waiting out storms with our Sol-ark.

I am very impressed with my Sol-Ark inverter so far. I am also pleased that they are bringing the monitoring app in house and migrating to domestic web hosting. That will be a huge improvement in security and functionality if they stay on top of it. The sales and engineering teams have both been happy to assist and answer my questions and provide support. I am glad I went with the Sol-Ark product. Keep it up!

Inverter hardware is good. But the software platform is outdated and not user friendly at all. Android app is outsourced to a Chinese developer, and the English is difficult to understand. Software is key in 2022. This isn't 1980 or 1990 when hardware dominated.Support is responsive. I'm told that Solark is working on bringing all applications in house. That would be a huge improvement. I will withhold a higher rating until that occurs.

I HAD TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH BBB ON 7/27/22 AND ON 8/9/22 SOMEONE I BELIEVE NAMED DUSTIN RESPONDED. THE CEO NEVER RESPONDED, THE SUPPOSED OWNER NEVER RESPONDED. THAT PERSON ASKED ME TO CONTACT THEM WHICH I DID. WE COULD NOT COME TO AN AGREEMENT BECAUSE HE STATES SOL-ARK WAS NOT BEING DECEPTIVE AND I STATE THAT THEY ARE BEING DECEPTIVE WITH THE 12K INVERTER. THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY PULLED. OTHER PEOPLE KNOW WHAT THEY PULLED WITH THAT DECEPTION. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN A COMPANY THAT CLAIMS TO BE CHRISTIAN AND ASSOCIATES THEMSELVES AS VETERANS. NEITHER WOULD DO THIS.STILL TO THIS DATE NO RESPONSE FROM THE SUPPOSED OWNER ... BEEN 3 WEEKS ... WHAT KIND OF COMPANY DEALS WITH CUSTOMERS IN THIS MANNER?It has been 2 weeks since the supposed owner told me he/ she would be back in touch with me within a few days. That person stated customers are important. It does not look like that at all. They do not return emails, do not return mail contacts, do not keep their word on getting back. NO ONE TO THIS DAY HAS BEEN IN TOUCH WITH ME AT ALL.It has been a week since the person labeled as owner told me they would look into my letter to CEO/Owner that was never responded to. That person said they would get back to me in a few days and still have not heard back from that person either. Not sure what constitutes a few days but I would think that a week is more than sufficient and still no word from anyone.I wrote a letter to CEO of Sol-Ark almost 3 weeks ago about an issue with the 2 12k inverters I have and to date I have not received any response. I joined Linkedin to message the CEO of Sol-ark and still no response from him on that avenue either. Sol-Ark states how important customers are. Ignoring customers, is that the way good companies act?I appreciate owner responding to me however my letter was also address to CEO/ Owner. Customer service can not help me in this matter. Only someone that has the authority to right a wrong can help. I do not see how I can respond directly to your response which is why I am editing my original post. FYI I have written to CEO of Samsclub and HP in the past and both have personally responded to me. They didnt ignore me. I look forward to hearing from you.

The customer service is amazing. Being off grid stuff happens with the batteries and system semi frequently. If there is ever an issue all I do is call SolArk and their guys immediately have a solution which they fix the issue via the inverter. We are so grateful we purchased with SolArk

My company, Solfarm Solar Co., has sold and installed many Sol-Arks and now we have the 7th MCU board (motherboard)that we have had to order, remove and install at our cost as the warranty does not cover labor to fix their units. I no longer want sell this product as they will not reimburse me for repairing their product like SolarEdge and Enphase does with their RMA. A return merchandise authorization (RMA), (return authorization (RA) or return goods authorization (RGA) is a part of the process of returning a product to receive a refund, replacement, or repair during the product's warranty period.)It costs us too much to perform their needed repairs.
