Our dog has been sick and our current vet retired. I really wasn't a fan of other doctors in that office. We live about an hr away. My sister said this place was the best. Boy was she right! Dr Coffman is very very kind, knowledgeable and honest. We ended up having to put our sweet fella down. I called multiple times and changed the date/time multiple times. Kudos to the front desk staff for dealing with my emotions and so kind over the phone because that's where it starts right?! Will definitely be bringing our other pets to this office.

Dr. Coffman is fantastic! However, I'm not sure about the front desk staff. This morning, the waiting room was very crowded with people & their animals. Everyone was ignored for about 20 minutes. No greeting or short announcement that we would be helped shortly... nothing! That is bad customer service. The front desk is supposed to greet customers. Yet everyone was ignored. I found that to be extremely rude and off-putting. As it is, animals get nervous at the vet. Plus, people have to go to work. Two women were at the front desk... one was on the phone (which is fair that she couldn't help). However, the other woman was clearly inundated, but never communicated or acknowledged anyone. Finally, she just started helping someone that had just walked in when there were other people waiting there first for a long time. Luckily, a woman spoke up stating that she had been there waiting like the rest of us. So, maybe they should invest in computer check-in up front if the staff can't handle the traffic.

Reasonable prices, pet loving, helpful and friendly staff. Vet is involved daily. Easy in and out.

Thank you to Dr. Coffman and staff! We transferred our dog here from an emergency facility and immediately felt that no matter which way it played out, our dogs were in good hands. I just can't say enough about the kind staff and the care our Gunner and Major got.

I was referred to this hospital by 3 people and specifically Dr. Coffman, when I called to book they got me in the next day at 11am. Wait time wasn't bad at all. My 12 year old chihuahua was very much due for a dental and since we were new clients, she was booked for an initial exam. I also wanted to do a full blood panel first due to her age, so the technician took her to get that done and brought her back within 2 minutes. I thought the results would take a day or two but to my surprise the doctor walked in and had them in his hand. Dr. Coffman went over every single result in depth and said everything looked great to do the dental same day. I wasn't expecting that but he said he could squeeze her in and she would be ready for pick up with in 2 hours. I had also asked if he could do X-rays before hand (not included with dental cleaning). This experience was over the top and exceeded my expectations!!!! When I picked her up, the doctor went over the X-rays with me and showed me a video he took during the dental to explain why he had to extract some teeth. I promise you, you will not find any other vet with such affordable prices AND amazing handling and care for your pet. The service they provided and flexibility they had was absolutely great, if it would have came down to it, I honestly wouldn't have cared to pay a thousand dollars. I'm also normally a nervous wreck when it comes to taking my dog to a new vet due to her age, but I felt so at ease leaving her there because the staff were great from the moment I got there. Dr Coffman has been in practice for 28 years and when I tell you he went over every single thing for me from start to finish, not many vets take the time to do that and I admired that. My little girl came out tail wagging and a little sleepy, ate some food later on that day and slept like a baby. I also want to thank the receptionist and technicians for being amazing, so welcoming, and so kind, what an amazing team this hospital has!!!! Thank you guys, we have officially found our new vet and I am so thankful. Also, I loved the home-y feeling I got from this clinic, nothing fancy and they had giant bird cages with beautiful birds and a glass case of some really cool tools/medicine from the past.

If I could leave a zero star I would we explained to the vets that our dog has possibly ate something and got stuck in his lung he got worse by time and we kept taking him here I assumed they would do an X-ray they came to a conclusion have us medicine for our dog and it turns out it was expired the vets are suppose to check the medicine and why would they give us expired medicine my dog got work still took him every week and my dog never got better he passed away todaysadly I don't know if it was because they wrongly diagnosed my dog or the expired medicine that wasn't even good for him I would not recommend this clinic for the amount we paid to them

Took our French Bulldog to get spayed. The Doctor was so nice, gave her a kiss even. They took great care of her. The next week she got an ear infection that they also took care of. Love them, I drive out from Prosper.

Could be more responsive to pet parents wanting to talk to the doctor. Two calls into the office to have the doctor call back. No response from the doctor.

I wanted to update my review by saying when my sweet baby passed, they were so kind to send me a card. It was a small thing but showed they truly care about their patients. I am forever a fan of the staff and Dr. Coffman. Thank you for your kindness.

I have been coming to Allen Vet Hospital since 2018. I have seen most of the vets at one time or another but in the past two years, I have chosen Dr Coffman. I make appointments ahead of time and they are always within a reasonable amount of time. Yes, they are busy-that's because they are excellent. This week, my dog had an emergency and was going downhill fast. I was there before they opened and Jessica was so kind to get me and my boy in and get him immediate treatment. He stayed there for a day and a half-they kept me updated frequently. ALL of the staff that took care of him were amazing!!! I wouldn't go anywhere else. Kudo's for doing all that you do Allen Vet Hospital.

I was referred to Dr. Overton after having had a awful experience at Stone brook Family Vet Clinic. I called them and was able to schedule a visit that same day but I scheduled it the next day to give my cat some time to mentally recover. Upon entering, we checked in and sat down. I love how there's bird cages in the waiting room. My cat found it very entertaining. However, he does not like dogs so we waited outside. We waited about 10 minutes before being called into a room. It was a small room but it had a bench with a soft blanket on it. How thoughtful. I kind of came in there advising them of what they need to do given my cats recent experience. I warned them he might become aggressive because he's scared and hurt. I asked them what their protocol was for handling aggressive pets. I asked them a lot of questions to which they answered them all and even comforted me because it was clear I was anxious about this. Meanwhile, my cat was already getting angry so I put him in his carrier and he pooped in it. They said I'd have to come back in an hour as their x-ray machines are being used. I was a little anxious but eventually agreed. An hour later, we get a call that he's ready! Dr. Yu did a great job explaining everything to me and answering all of my questions. They even cleaned him! I had a great experience.

Do NOT do business with the vet hospital!!! They have new doctors and staff that do NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PETS!! It used to be a good place to take my golden retriever.....but, not anymore!!! They refused to help my dog.

I drop my dog off to be kenneled on Thursday evening. What I have been doing is calling daily to check on him. I have been a CONSISTENT customer since 2004. No other vet office has cared for any of my animals. I have also referred many to this office. Today I called and it took me 23 minutes to get someone on the phone to advise me of my dogs status. This gave me instant anxiety Janessa answered the phone and immediately advised me that he was doing good but they had an incident. Incident? Yes, my dog has been aggressively trying to get to other dogs and dislocated the shoulder of a worker? Huh? Oh Wowwwww. My dog weighs 78 lbs. A stocky 78, so I ask how large was the worker, thinking that maybe it was a petite person. I was advised that it was beside the point, my dog is aggressive and they will attempt to keep him away from the other dogs. I couldn't ask about the worker becI immediately became upset with the tone and the language that I was being fed. My dog is not vicious, now I'm worried about how he will be treated until Tuesday and I am am three states over at a Memorial Service and can't get back before they close. I am so upset that I have a headache and my blood pressure has increased. Loyalty, professionalism and common courtesy doesn't seem to matter anymore. I am done. Things aren't the same since Dr. Overton retired.
