“My SUV needed an air intake hose to be replaced. I thought I cud do it myself but realized I couldn’t get to one end of it (under the resonator) and so needed help. I was referred to Alex by my friend James.
I called Alex and told him I’d be picking up the hose from a Lexus dealership and coming his way, letting him know that I’d be coming from North Dallas just to make sure he understands that he should fix it while I wait. He cheerfully says “N Dallas isn’t that far” :) the way he said I knew it would be fixed right away.
I picked up the hose from the dealership and showed up at Midas and asked for Alex. Alex greets me with a big smile. Asks for the part and keys and gives it to a mechanic with a 30 sec instruction. After about 15 minutes the mechanic brings the car to the parking lot and hands the keys to Alex. Alex beckons me and says it’s done. I ask him how much I owe and he says “Nothing”. I’m in disbelief (I can’t imagine how much Lexus would have charged me!) I kept insisting that I pay when he conclusively says “we don’t charge for these small tasks”. I knew it was futile. I left feeling that even tho’ the service took only a little time it called for expertise n skill. By this gesture, Alex and his team won a customer for life!
I’ve heard, only apocryphally that people and places like these exist, now I know for real they do! Thank you and your team, Alex!!”
“I have had both mine and my wife’s vehicle serviced here for a few years now. I like their up front answers to your maintenance and service questions. They have proved to have competent technicians and have fixed issues for my vehicles when brought in. I haven’t had to make a return trip for follow-ups or complaints. Their pricing is more reasonable than the dealerships. Just a straight up good mechanic shop. The staff up front have also been very professional. I hope that this shop will maintain their level for service and professionalism so I won’t have to go find another mechanic shop. I would hope to have a good relationship with this shop like you would have with your barber, as long as I am in the area. Keep up the good service and I’ll keep coming back.”
