My husband and I were heading back to Cisco. We stopped in here for lunch. We had the burger basket. Was really good. It was on Texas toast and the fries were homemade!! The employees were very friendly. Nice little place.

Waited a hour for 3 hamburger basket the girl at the register was rude said we are very busy that why we can get you're order out while one girl was in the back by the grill eating and one was messing with her nose as she was making people food

Always stop here when heading to or from SIL house as it is almost perfectly between. Nice Deli with fresh made sandwiches (tasty) ready to go personal pizzas and fountain drinks/coffee.

A little disappointed.Saturday 6/11/22 1130am, with less than a dozen total patrons.I will start with the good about the environment.- pretty clean- pretty cool temperature-wise- fun decor- some friendly employeesThe good about food.- price was reasonable.- good presentation in the box.- French fries were fresh and pretty good, though unpeeled are my least favorite form of fry.The bad about the food.- I specifically said mustard, verified that it would not be mayo, then made a point to say "so it come with mustard by default?", and both my burgers were mayo with no mustard.. SMH.- unpeeled fries.- onions were flavorless, which usually means they are not fresh sliced.- nothing salted (though I understand the health implications)- overall bland burger, and even though I'm sure it had to be fresh cooked, it didn't seem so. I didn't hear it sizzling on the grill, which seems hard to believe since it's an open space. That's all subjective feelings, so take it with a grain of salt.Bonus meal from a month earlier, which was also disappointingI ordered a Supreme pizza at around 1130 on a Saturday.The good.- a beautiful pizza- lots of fresh ingredients. Ground beef, sliced green peppers, onions, and more, and all looked great.- price was reasonable for the market. Large any way for about 13.- the taste of the ingredients was delicious.It's hard to believe after saying all that, I could be disappointed, but here is the bad.- it didn't seem like it had been cooked as a whole. It seemed like they took some base cheese pizza and put a bunch of fresh ingredients on top.- there was no cheese topping that I could tell. I'm sure if I turned it sideways that all of the ingredients would fall off. All pizzas have a layer of cheese melted on the top that ties it all together.I ate a piece as it was and it was pretty good, but not hot. I was fortunate enough to have a bag of mozzarella on hand, added a couple handfuls to the top and heated in the oven. It was delicious after that.The minor bad about the place. - They didn't welcome me in like an old friend- smiles were hard to find. Sadly I'm beginning to think smiles are a thing of the past, with the world we have. I can't really blame anyone for that.- there were NO (somehow left out the word NO when i first wrote this) prices on any self serve drinks and that always seems sketchy to me. There were also a lot of other items nor marked either.- this last one hurts the more, I think. There is no clear menu of what they offer. I had to ask if they have French fries.Good bless you all.

Great service great people above and beyond nice great food and every thing good price gas isn't expensive place to sit down and eat or take it on the go.

I has the Sourdough Burger with fried okra and it was awesome. Very favorable old-style burger. I plan to eat here again.

Clean gas station. Friendly staff. Stopped on the way in to Abilene for a quick bite. Food was very good, including the dessert. Ordered a lemon bar was so good. Highly recommend.

Sometimes little towns have that place where everyone goes. Sit down and have a cup of coffee or eat lunch. In Albany, Texas that place is Prairie Star. It's actually a convenience store, but a great convenience store. Outside, it's got that country look that invites you in. Once your inside, it's shopping in the middle, deli on the right, and dining area on the left. The deli has great food. Grab something to go or sit a while and eat. The desserts look way to good to be in a convenience store. Several tables were filled with the locals, solving the world's problems over a cup of coffee. What a great, slowed down, life. I miss that. Anyway, gas, munchies, deli, and of course the 238 ounce Big Gulp if your thirsty. (Yes I made that up). It's a great place to stop, so stop!

Always have goodies in their bakery. Cookies and cakes. Premade salads look fresh. Had a burger today. It was good but a bland pattie. Only Pepsi products.

We had cheeseburgers today. Yummy. My husband loves a burger on toast! Really good fries too. The baked goods looked excellent. We had a fun day in Albany.
