It’s been a nightmare working with these guys. They charge pretty much dbl the amount to when it comes to returns with school loans even if they only need to add a couple additional numbers. The lack of care and responsibilities these guys have for you blows my mind. I’m told different things about why I still haven’t received my refund and even though my refund has apparently been direct deposited into my account, I still have not received anything. They’re never there to answer the phone which eventually sends you to a generic land where those associates can’t even help you. First it was hand mailed, when I specifically asked for it to be e filed and because there was no status update (or the guy forgot to do his job) I reached out and eventually got it e filed which was approved in minutes. A process I waited three months for, done in minutes. But the story isn’t over, apparently my refund was direct deposited and everything should be complete. Now we have a potential problem with the account and routing number. I’m just trying to get to the bottom of this and have been trying to find a h&r pro to help calling all the open sites around me. Why do none of these sites answer their phones. It blows my mind. I’ve been working on getting this refund back since mid December. It’s already May. I will certainly take my business elsewhere and recommend whoever reads this to do the same. Shame on them.

My daughter filled her taxes through Block this year. For IRS purposes, she is considered a small business owner. The preparer did not explain pricing to her. When she complained, the preparer said that the pricing issue would be escalated to a supervisor. Never heard from them again and was forced to borrow the money to pay them, as the IRS deadline was fast approaching. They knew how little she made last year and that she couldn't afford this service. She received no tips for reducing her liability next year, just a bunch of IRS regulations.Their behavior may not be illegal, but it certainly is unethicalShame on you H&R Block.
