“The place was gorgeous. But the number of people was suffocating and made it hard to enjoy the experience at our own pace. Went to something like this in the big city, and the tickets were controlled to a certain number between certain times upon entering the park.. I wished Abilene's had the same method. The staff were so kind and jolly ? the food and drink vendors were also a joy! It was so nice, but a lot of sideways walking and scooching”

“We had a wedding at this venue. It was absolutely beautiful. The building is stunning, the lights, the combination of brick and wood. It was just gorgeous. William and Charlie were both a joy to work with. William was very accommodating the whole day. Always asking if there was anything needed and if everything was going well. William helped us get things set up and extension cords set up so our food would be nice and hot. The A/C was great, we all stayed nice and comfortable. There were plenty of restrooms for our 160ish guests. Parking was not an issue, because there is plenty of parking around this location. I can’t say enough good things. I wouldn’t change a thing about this venue, it was perfect. Thank you!”
“This is actually a pretty cool place!!! We’ve gone there a few times because when my youngest was in band, the band banquets were held here. And it’s really a very pretty place! I’d say if ya wanna stop in to see the inside or if you’re looking to hold an event— I think even a wedding reception would be great too— I’d check them out. And there’s plenty of parking around there too, even if you have to park across the street or a quick walk down the street, it’s not a problem. But I’d recommend this place to folks!”

“The Acre is SOO unique and Rachel is one of the absolute BESTS!!! It’s such a fun place and is sooo amazing that you can have the venue entire weekend. If you are getting married and using The Acre as your venue- it is a steal!! Most venue packages only include 12 - 15 hours on your wedding day. A normal venues includes 9am- midnight. That seems like a lot of time - IT’S NOT! Let me explain - you have a 5pm wedding ceremony so that means your photos will start around 1pm or 2pm, which means the bride /mother of the bride will start getting ready around 10am /10:30am. This usually means that you have from 9am to 10/10:30am to set up and decorate an entire wedding ????. That is CRAZY- welcome to the wedding industry ????♀️. Booking the acre means you have the venue for the entire weekend- DO IT! Book The Acre, It’s amazing!”
“Good layout. Good ac. Food center is bare minimum. They have signs everywhere that say no feet on wall and I just want to know what happened to cause such excessive signs. I have 8 kids and nobody puts their feet on the wall”

“We've stayed here twice, and both times were good. The second room had more wear and tear, so I hope HIE is staying on top of maintenance. If they do, they'll get a lot more $$$ from us over the next 4 years.
Not all HIE breakfasts are the same. Some have a little extra something that makes them stand out. This HIE had ham at the buffet, which went beautifully with a perfectly-cooked cheese omelette. I always enjoy biscuits and gravy, and the sausage paired perfectly with it. In case you can't tell, we really enjoyed the breakfast here.”

“Although it gets overlooked sometimes, this theater has never disappointed me! Rico (at the ticket window on a blustery day), was very kind and patient...what a nice young man! It's never too crowded, always clean, and the employees are sweet. Highly recommend this "Off the beaten path" cinema in Abilene!”
