came BEFORE closing and they were locking doors. asked the clerk who was locking me out (during business hours) if they closed at 5 and she said “I’ll take these but I’m not giving you a receipt”. It was the woman with heavy eyeshadow and makeup. Seems like no one wants to work these days

Update: (3/9/24) was supposed to get a package today. Waited all day for it to be delivered. 4pm rolls around so I decide to check the status, “Delivery Attempt Made. No authorized recipient available”. Seriously! Not a single f-ing person came to my door. Now I’m forced to wait until next business day to get my package, by picking it up myself, essentially doing their job.
I’ve had my packages show up in Abilene and then shipped to another city just to be shipped back to Abilene and then still not be delivered. It’s absolutely ludicrous that we the tax payers paid $107 billion to keep this organization from going under. Us! We paid for it! USPS is not government funded. If we stop using them maybe we will finally be free of their mediocrity.
Just look at the reviews, that should tell you their reliability. I’ve been all over the country and this is one of many problems at nearly all of them. I really wish negative stars were an option.

They delivered my package to the wrong address and then blamed my school, and my school has video evidence of them never delivering my package. Then, they gave me incorrect directions on how to receive a refund. I called them five times and visited them in person. Never received a refund or accurate information about how to retain a refund. I have been trying to get refunded for over a month now.

Passport person was extremely rude, even though we scheduled an appointment for my husband weeks in advance, arrived the recommended 10 minutes early, and had everything we needed ready to go. The only thing we didn't know was that we needed a money order or check (not listed anywhere online or in the appointment information), so I had to take one or two minutes to fill out the check. The lady was belittling and asked if I "was done playing around" after handing her my check. The entire appointment took 5 out of the scheduled 15 minutes, and then she made sure to bring us over to the register to "pay her fee ($35)." There was nothing online about an appointment fee, so not sure if she was even supposed to charge us that. There was no one else waiting, so there was literally no reason for her to be rude about everything.

This has got to be the worst Post Office. Especially for it to be the main one for this town. I've been waiting for a month and a half to get my mailbox keys made. They refuse to get it done. They are rude when you call to ask them why they haven't met the 2-week deadline that THEY set. They tell me to put a hold on my mail and guess what, my address isn't eligible for a hold? Anyways the city needs to not make these neighborhoods that rely on the post office to make keys for their mailbox bc they don't care about if customers get important documents or medications. If I could rate them a -5 I would.

If you’re trying to get a passport, go to another town. This is the only place in Abilene for a passport, and the staff here are extremely rude, unprofessional, and inefficient.
