Came by Thursday 10/24/24 at 6 to get something to help my Oscar fish. Not an employee around to ask you if you need help. So I went over to the register and asked the cashier ( skinny lady with short brown hair in a ponytail ) if she can help me find what would help my situation. Showed her pictures of my fish. I got a real snooty repetitive response “ I don’t know what you’re showing me, I don’t know what I’m looking at, I don’t know I don’t know I don’t know “ “ maybe you can go ask someone else “ not only did she make me feel ignorant and like a burden, but made me feel embarrassed for even asking. I should’ve just went to Pet Supply Plus to go ask Creed but sadly he’s off today. He is knowledgeable, so polite and very professional. I’ll never come back to petco. Why hire someone if they don’t know a damn thing? Go flip burgers then

I went to return some merchandise and it has been over 30 days so I got a merchandise card which I was good with. The lady helping me named Jamie was awful. Very rude and lacked any kind of customer service skills. Proceeded to try and tell me how to raise my animals. I won’t go back there.

I had a good experience. My first thought was negative because I noticed the price increase in the dog food I buy every month for my dogs.
I'm dissabled and don't have a lot of money every month. My dogs need a certain one the other brands and types really are hard on their digestion.
Thankfully I found out you price match. I know almost $7 doesn't
sound like a lot but every bit helps.
Andrew took care of me at the counter. He was friendly and helpful.

Wouldn't recommend trying to work there . All they do is give you back n forth crap while you are trying to figure out if your hired or not plus the manager wants to ignore your calls when you call .its already the third time ive checked and been almost 2 weeks since ive tried to get answer.

Well, I am really disappointed in the US retail industry and this Petco location seems to symbolize all that is wrong. Poor service, inadequate product knowledge, rude employees, under equipped to do their jobs. Terrible experience trying to return a 49 cent dead fish, that's right 4 dimes, 4 pennies, and one nickel. Guess I'll find another place to find my fish and anything else closely related to a pet.
p.s. I don't give 1 star unless the company is unethical...two stars is the worst I give and this place deserves the rating.
p.s.s. After I wrote the rating above, I read other reviews and I am super put off by the AI or other non-human, non-sincere, non-effective responses. Please save the money you are spending on responses. I recommend you invest the money your corporation is investing in robots and hire people who care.

I’ve given 2 stars because my 10 lb Yorkie looks fine. But I’ve been overcharged for about 3-4 years. I only take her about 3 times per year because I can’t afford more. I’ve taken her several times in Arlington TX & 2 or 3 times in Abilene TX. Just the basic wash & cut done each time. After all the times that I’ve used them- I’ve been charged for a small dog instead of an extra small dog. No Petco employee has informed me that I was being overcharged. I’ve interacted with several AND I have always tipped the groomer. I won’t go back.
I received a message regarding my less than stellar review. See below. They’re really sorry that I’ve been overcharged all this time but not sorry enough to offer a refund for the overcharges. How about that? It says a lot imo. Changed to 1 star bc it’s as low as I can get.

I have been a loyal customer of petco for years.my little Pom Toby is groomed here.i buy food ,toys ect.several days ago I was in to buy my grand dog some treats.the clerk ask did i want to contribute to the animal fund to which I reply no thank you not at this time.she say well that’s up to you.its your decision.i said yes,yes it is.why did you say that ? It all escalated from that as you can see on tape I’m sure.i am a 70 year old man that has never been talked to ,down to for such as that.as you can imagine I won’t be back.i can only invite anyone that may have recorded the incident to please share,post on social media.in hopes it will go viral

I was greeted and offered help which is nice considering this is no longer the norm when it should be in retail and service industry. I'm far from a neat freak, and even I was taken aback at how dirty the floor was. It looks like it has not seen a broom or a mop is quite sometimes.

Had a very unsatisfactory experience. Jamie the cashier was rude and dismissive to our needs , we opened an account and she refused to talk to the me the mother of teen trying to start an account for first time . She kept turning her face to ignore me and ask my teen questions.She acted like we were bothering her and I felt she was angry to be working. I was going to get my grandaughter a beta but signage was deceptive and we thought we were purchasing a beta for 7.99 but it rang up 24.99 when I told her no were not paying that when sign says 7.99.so she deleted purchase and we left. But before that transaction I spent 100 on my teen daughter aquarium and accessories. I felt totally disrespected and angry my experience was so ridiculously bad and cashier had no clue how customer service works , i regret going to your store .Please Train better . ?
