Dont walk away, RUN! HAD I NOT BEEN SO BUSY WORKING I WOULDVE TAKEN THEM TO COURT. These people are CROOKS! Not to mention the prices they charge for a pair of boots is crazy high for such POOR design work (1200+ A PAIR). The price they tell you at the beginning will NOT remain the same until the end! You'll end up being charged hundreds more!I made the mistake of ordering a CUSTOM pair of boots because on the surface this seems like a decent business. You can tell them what you want.. sure.. but in the end they do it their meteocre way and if you're not happy they don't give a rip! Why should they? They have a little insurance policy called your deposit money which they will not refund for ANY REASON!! EVEN IF THEY HAPHAZZARDLY REFUSE TO MAKE YOUR BOOTS OR CLEARLY DEVIATE FROM WHAT YOU ASK FOR! THEY DO NOT ANSWER TO ANYONE AND THINK THEY'RE ABOVE THE LAW. This is a CLEAR violation of consumer rights.So, I go through the back and forth via email only (THEY NEVER ACTUALLY CALL) about the design of my boots. Any time I tried calling in, the person who was working on my stuff wouldn't be there and I'd have to leave a message. Same song and dance if I tried going to the store 80% of the time.About half way through the production of my custom boots, I stop in to make a payment. I took a quick look and snapped a photo for later because I needed to get back to work. I asked a couple questions about design tweaking but they said, right then, NO changes could be made! Hmm... ok, so when I got home I double checked the stitch pattern I requested and sure enough they really butchered it. I had sent them an already made pair of boots to copy the pattern and they'd only provided a poorly done pencil drawing thus far which I expressed concern over then BUT they said, and I quote,"The pattern on the boot tops WILL look like the picture sent but we can not add that amount of stitching on a paper pattern to make it exact BUT WILL BE ABLE TO when we make the boots."That was the last I was told (in writing) before seeing them. What I was looking at was an obviously enlarged cut off (nearly in half) version of the pictured pattern! It looked very unprofessional. I sent an email asking about this and whatd they do?! "Were not prepared to continue with these boots" and further stated they were going to keep 200!! When THEY decided to stop production. There was no discussion.. no heres why this surprise happened... no LETS MAKE IT RIGHT just a jump to OH WELL WERE KEEPING YOUR MONEY!! CROOKS!VERY ARGUMENTATIVE AND THEY HAVE NO PROBLEM RESORTING TO OUTRIGHT LIES TO TRY AND COME OUT SMELLING LIKE A ROSE! But I can smell the stink from here! They insisted I "approved" their deviation from what I requested which never happened! They could care LESS about their customers! That is CLEAR. They kept harping on my visit saying that I didnt notice right then as if that made some big difference! I emailed them right away when I noticed within a day of my visit to the store! WHETHER I HAD NOTICED RIGHT THEN OR 10 MINUTES LATER THEY WERE NEVER GOING TO FIX IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. THAT is the REAL truth!DO NOT GET TRAPPED BY THESE PEOPLE. IF THEY MAKE A MISTAKE, THEYD RATHER DIE THAN ADMIT FAULT!! IS THAT WHO YOU WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH?? A CUSTOM PAIR OF BOOTS SOUNDS NICE, BUT WHAT YOULL ACTUALLY GET IS THEIR SPIN ON YOUR CUSTOM ORDER! Find honest folks who don't take liberties without you knowing to make you a pair. PLEASE READ AND HEED THE OTHER 1 STAR GOOGLE REVIEWS! I warn anyone I know thinking of getting a new custom pair of boots!

I had these fine people make a pair of their Safaris for me 2 years ago. Two-tone made out of bison. I love these boot and wear them nearly every day. I know they'll last me for years to come.

I took in a pair of boots I had bought used that some of the stitching was coming out of one. They made the repairs at a very reasonable price of $15.00 and I’m back in business. I highly recommend them and will be back. I’m super pleased with the results

I needed my Vera Bradley purse fixed. The sewing on the strap was coming loose and I didn't know where I could get it fixed. But I happened to think of the boot store where we'd had a leather purse fixed once. Surely they would be able to fix my cloth purse. So I called up James Letty Boots and ask my question. And I got the positive answer I had expected all along. And then I remembered my husband's boots. He had but them out on the porch after our new dog chewed the pull straps off. Now would be the perfect time to get them fixed. Once we got to the boot store, we turned in our items, and paid for the repair. We were promised they would be ready in a week. A week later we picked them both up. My husbands boots didn't look as if a dog had ever been near them and my purse was fixed like brand new. From now on, we'll check out James Letty Boots first.

These boots are made completely by hand and custom fitted to your feet! The price is worth it when you consider that boots last a long time. Great people! Expert artisans in a dying trade.

Exceptionally Professional and Beyond Knowledgeable in all things boots, belts and shoes!! I came in to get a pair of my wife's boots repaired (unfortunately -for her- they're not Leddy's), and now I'm seriously designing a pair of boots for myself and I think my wife will get a pair too!! Thanks Y'all!!!

Only received 1 star because I couldnt write the review without it! These people will steal your deposit money if given the chance! Not to mention the prices they charge for a pair of boots is crazy high for such poor design work. I have been a customer for 30+ yrs, custom boots are the best. Always send my boots for full soles and heels, turnaround time is fast. James Leddy boots are the GREATEST.
