I absolutely loved our nurses. They assisted my family and I on everything. They have such a sweet nursing staff including the CNA's and housekeeping.

My Mom was in the hospital with a collapsed lung. My sister and I split staying different nights. I have to say that I don't understand some of these reviews. The staff were absolutely amazing! Off the top of my head, Nia, Nakooma, Gem, Allie, Christina, Bai, Julie, Daniel, Stacie, Dr, Crocker, Lizzette, and Dr. Shirley. Many others, basically all staff, including the physical and occupational therapists. All kind, considerate, helpful and patient. I know they had a whole floor of patients, but they never rushed us or gave a feeling like they didn't think we were important. I am blown away with the quality of their compassion ,working habits, and personal touches. Felt like my mom was in safe and perfect hands. I just want to give a huge thank you to you all. I so appreciate all that you did.

I would say that the Hendrick from just a few years ago is gone for good. A general lack of caring and tense atmosphere. The worst part is the claim that is made in their mission statement. The use of Our Lord, Savior, Christ and God's Amazing name as a standard is just words on plaques at this facility. We will just call it their version of the "Hypocritical Oath"....whaaat

This medical center is amazing. I've been in Abilene for 2.5 years and anytime I've gone to visit, I don't have any complaints. I visited the pulmonary section, OB, birthplace, pediatrician section, labs building, sonogram section, ER and each person from each section has treated me with respect. I'm a military member and they treated me as an equal. I never felt ripped off. The hospital's mission statement is seen throughout the staff and I've never seen different. It's sad that I'm moving out of Abilene because I don't know if I'll be able to find a medical center as caring and genuine as Hendricks. Thank y'all.

I had a good experience at Hendrick 6 years ago, but tonight in the ER was horrendous. I went with knee pain and swelling. The Nurse Practitioner never examined my knee, no one asked me to rate my pain, they only did an x-ray because I insisted, I was not offered anything for pain or swelling, then when the nurse asked her to, the NP refused to come back and talk to me. My pain was an 8/10, but I never asked for pain meds, just a brace or anti-inflammatory. The nurse falsely documented my pain at a 4. I was told they "don't have to do anything" for me. I have insurance and I am a nurse. As a medical professional, I am appalled and ashamed to have such uncaring individuals in a profession that is based on caring. I will not go there again. ARMC can have my business from now on. Shame on you, Valerie Benavides, NP.

As bad of 'customer service' as there is. Just go to ARMC. Surely cannot be worse!! NO Communication bwtn staff and patient!! And im not sure if they've heard of HIPPA because nurses, etc are not afraid to talk about anything no matter who may be in your room.

Horrible service towards military and their families, especially ones who are enroute to their next duty station. Some of the RN staff treats them like we are uneducated pieces of dog p****

My mother has been there twice for two surgeries and her care has been awful. I can tell the nurses are understaffed and have too many patients and because of that they seem to be very frustrated and lazy. This last stay we had nothing we needed in her room like a basin to throw up in for instance... she has her kidney removed and the day of her surgery she had to wait hours for pain medication. She had no pillow to hold over her incision when she coughed we had to ask four different people and complain before someone even looked for one. When they finally gave her some liquid Tylenol the nurse didn't even start it. Her night nurse was amazing and there are many nurses who are great so I hate to blame the nurses I really think they are understaffed and that is he problem. Same with the medical aids. And this happened with both of our stays so I think this must be a usual occurrence. I am almost scared to complain because I don't want to revive poor care if I go but I feel like it needs to be said. And I just want to reiterate although I think the staff could do better I feel like it is mainly because they are overworked. The hospital needs to hire more people!!! Also stop treating surgery patients like med seekers!!! Someone who just had surgery is going to need pain meds!!!!!!

I had an excellent experience with HMC and all of the staff involved in my recent surgery. James in Nuclear Medicine was amazing as was my surgeon, Dr. Bridge. Everyone I dealt with was professional and caring.
