I have to admit that I had very little experience with Gelato before Gus's, but I've yet to have another gelato I've like more. Their flavors rotate weekly but they announce them ahead of time. Make sure to keep up with them! All of their options have been worth a try so far.

I just had the raspberry sorbet and it was delicious! The perfect mix of tart and sweet. I couldn't stop eating it! You definitely need to try this place out.

There is always a line here and it's because the ice cream is delicious and the place is adorable with old film memorabilia and a unique, original countertop bar.Love that it's family owned and you can read the history. They also have unique seasonal flavors available like lavender ice cream. They'll even give you a Leopold's paper hat upon request - great for selfies. I'd recommend going during an off-time like late morning so you can avoid the wait.

I LOVE gelato (I've been to Italy and have it enjoyed it for many years). This is a small business in a larger business that does many things. There are only 3 gelato flavors cream, pistachio, and lavender. So if those don't sound appealing to you dont waste your time. I would have LOVED to have a hazelnut flavor. The gelato was a little icey when it was served but was still good.. The owner was very pushy with the other aspects of the business. I will say the oil/ vinegars were really good and I bought some but it was kind of uncomfortable...

Had an affogato Friday... hands down an amazing burst of both great coffee and gelato flavors mixed together for amazing treat! Will definitely be going back, can easily see this as being a favorite place for us!

Went in for brunch and the food was not even make-at-home food quality. I was very disappointed as their pictures always look great. Everyone in the party agreed we wouldn't chance it again. I understand having an off day but if your "chef" cant fry an egg I lose all confidence.

Gelato is Italian ice cream. It is good. Gus's Gelato is a small busness inside a large bsness. Just go to the address go inside and ask about the gelato.

We attended a special dinner event. Started very late and never had a chance to meet the other attendees before sitting down. A brief greeting period with a glass of wine and small appetizer would have been nice. We certainly paid for it. Men sat together...this is Abilene...women sat together. Talk was all about grandchildren. Overall presentation was sad. Tablecloths, tea lights and better quality utensils would have been lovely.

I'm in town for work and had to depend on yelp and found Cordell's. It's in a small shopping strip with other casual eateries and is pretty easy to find. Upon entering, I was greeted by two sweet ladies who were very informative of the offerings they have. You can tell they know their customers since they said they haven't seen me around town. They sell dressings, oils, and a bunch of other stuff but also serve lunch. I ordered a salad with tenderloin pieces and it was so fresh and delicious. I also had an iced coffee which tasted better than any starbucks you can go to. Overall, i'd definitely come back if i'm ever in town for work
