Prices are lower than Walmart and the quality is better. Cashiers are nice and professional ,this is my favorite grocery shopping place in Abilene.

I have been going to this Aldi's since it opened and have never been so embarrassed or upset over how I was treated. My husband arrived at this store on Sun. August 4, 2024 at about 7 pm to pick up groceries for my elderly parents. We did our shopping and made our way to the register. I informed the cashier named Yolanda that I would be using EBT and I would have to slide the card a few times then tell her the card number to proceed with payment. She told me ok that's fine. She rang up all our groceries and when it wat time to pay I told her I needed to pay most on my EBT with remainder on a debit card. She entered the amount for the EBT card and proceeded to go through the 3 swipes and the prompt came up to enter the card manually. Yolanda stated that they don't do that and I told her they do and tried to get her to enter the card manually. By this time there was a line of people behind me and she called a manger over for assistance by the name of Josh. He said they don't do it and explained that y'all do and that the register was ready to enter the card manually. He called someone and they proceeded to tell him the same thing I assume. He looked at me while on the phone and had asked a question and I assumed he was talking to me so I proceeded to answer to which his reply was to me "you need to chill out I'm on the phone." I apologized. Next thing O know I'm being asked to show ID. That's not supposed to happen especially when I have the pin. I did show them not only my ID but my mother's ID since her name is on the card. Our last names are the same. Then they denied my transaction. I would like to add that there was a lady right behind me that tried to tell them how it worked as well. I come to this store every month at least 2x for groceries and have done this everytime. This is the first time I've ever been made to feel embarrassed and ashamed for picking up groceries for my elderly disabled parents. You all need to train your people better. Not only in the Snap program but also in store procedures and customer support. I've always been treated so good at Aldi's but y'all really dropped the ball on this visit.

Not a lot to choose from. Vegetables & fruit were very nice looking & reasonably priced. If you dont know, bring your own bags. They have a few boxes
