Just a quick visit during traveling was enough to make me want to go back. They have a nature center with animals and activities for kids. This park is huge. I noticed some bike trails while there. It's easy to spend a whole day here, looking forward to making a day out if it soon.

Check out the Pennington Cave and bring a waterproof flashlight. The kids loved it.

This 1300+ acre state park is home to one of the most scenic lakes in Tennessee, and offers a range of trails surrounding the lake. There are also opportunities to fish and swim in the lake, and on top of that, the local marina provides boating access. Camping and cabin rentals are also available at this park.
