Joan Trudo is the only reason this once 'the way it used to be and ought to be' small rural post office has remained open and customer friendly. Joan is a friend to all the customers relying on their mail being delivered in a timely manner and that their packages are safe. Someone at the main station in Columbia has it out for Joan, and we will be the losers. Seems wanting to live simple, rural, and not be a part of the rat race in Williamson County, is not really a reality anymore after 22 years of doing just that. And how sad that the very system (the USPS) that used to be the fiber that connected us as a nation, is no longer meaningful in the empty-soul world of tech.

Have met some of the most helpful postal workers here as well as some of the most ignorant here; hit or miss depending on employees there. As of SEP23, Does not have the capability (or willingness) to process QR labels. Was able to figure out the solution at another similar post office (go to print a full shipping label and pull the alphanumeric code from it), but they were acting condescending while I was trying to do that so I left.

To be quite honest, I’m lost for words when it pertains to the Williamsport Post Office. I’ll try my best to keep this brief without writing a novel of my dreadful experiences pertaining to them.First off, I have to regulate any online ordering that requires USPS (Ex: Amazon). They fail about every way imaginable when it comes to package deliveries. Instead of dropping the packages off at my house, they proceed to leave them sitting in the grass at my mailbox (which is 1/4 mile from my house). Anyone driving down Hwy 50 could easily pick them up and I’d never know it. Another problem with package deliveries is timing; they are always LATE…. I have zero problems out of other carriers, but this USPS is always 1-2 days late; which brings me to my second point.Secondly, on one particular instance regarding an Amazon order, they were once again late for delivery (shocker). So I decided to drive to the post office and ask them in person where my packages may be. The interior of the building was an absolute disaster at best; followed by a random dog wondering hopelessly about just like the staff. The staff come across as very unprofessional and rude; but I kept calm and presented them with tracking numbers and details of my order. This particular employee had zero record of my package and proceeded to tell me the route driver had decided to quit 1/2 through the route the previous day. At this moment I knew I was wasting my time and returned home with intentions of canceling my order if it didn’t show up within 24 hours. The following morning I finally found my packages (3 days late)….Instead of ditching them at my mailbox like they are accustomed to doing or bringing them to my house; they took them to the neighbors and pitched them out.Third, I often receive mail that doesn’t belong to me. I always leave it in my mailbox and raise the flag; but they never pick it back up. One would think the mail should match the last name on the mailbox, but not these postal drivers, they don’t care. The Williamsport Post Office is in dire need of good employment from top to bottom. Every aspect of this unit is flawed from the inside of the building all the way to deliveries. I don’t often have negative things to say; but this is beyond bad and something needs to be done about their inferior performance.

These people are rude, unprofessional and lazy. They wouldn't even take a message by phone. It took me 3 months to even get authorization to deliver my mail to my house.
