II left my flash light I paid $50 for it at advance auto I just wanted make sure I got right batteries and set it on the counter while I paid for my stuff $100 and left it on accident and immediately tried calling back to back and it was off the hook non stop beep beep everytime I called to have a thought trusted employee but within 5 minutes employees changed out different people and I asked the general manager for all Dollar Stores and played dumb but I said I’m calling cops and bam the lil fat boy thought he was tough said it was in buggy and no it was never in a buggy and fat boy if you read this and don’t like it this is my real name find me on Facebook and we can handle it you win I’ll give $100 cash and the flashlight I swear I will you are a thief and a punk. Be a man work for what’s yours like I do and don’t lie and sell your integrity for a flash light so you remember me. This happened at 2:36 may 10th the girl rung me up was innocent I believe just that weak boy thought it was cool going keep it. I’ve never seen managers not even try to help treated me like I did something wrong. I’m posting receipt so corporate can look at store number and time sorry to offend anyone else that reads this but I’m highly mad. Don’t go whitesburg store everyone but girl rung me up was rude but she had left in the 7-8 minutes took me get back.

Dollar General is always a good thing to have a quick trip in and out with what you need and no other things to make the process uncomfortable or unnecessarily stressful. Especially since you have the ability to do self checkout and literally no personal contact with anyone will be necessary for most normal occasions. Convenience and personal privacy is a very important aspect of Dollar General. I highly recommend the Dollar General experience.

A small backstory… anyone that knows me or knew Joshua Perry when he was little, knows the story about “Dindo”… anyway Josh was in UT hospital with Pneumonia when he was 3-4, I went to the gift shop and got him a small yellow Triceratops (The Land before Time had not been out long). He carried that little Triceratops EVERYWHERE. His pediatrician was in Knoxville and one day we were there, we apparently dropped it. I called and they had found it so to save me another 2 hour drive, they mailed it to me. Every year since I have been back “home”, on Josh’s birthday, I get Cashel a gift bag or he and I do something special. To celebrate his daddy’s birthday. Last year we went to “Dinosaur Quest”.
I went to Dollar General Store in Whitesburg. I looked down one of the isles and in the floor was a much bigger “Dindo”. I asked the girls MOE and SHEY that was working there if there were anymore because I wanted a yellow one and told them the significance of it. They got ladders and everything to see if they could find any. No luck… I apparently dropped some of my stuff coming out so I called and they told me it was there. My daughter was going there anyway so I called to let them know she was going to pick it up. MOE said I have something for you, is it okay to give it to her too… I told them yes. I figured they found a yellow one. When Tiffany got home she brought my things and put something in my hand. The picture below is what they gave me. Tiffany said the girl took it off and said she wore it all the time but I needed it more than she did. You just DO NOT find people like this anymore. You have no Idea what that means to me, especially a complete stranger. If anyone goes in there, please give them a shout-out. I will cherish this forever.

Dollar General is definitely one of my favorite stores! It's a go-to for sure! They have practically everything you need from household goods, grocery, automotive, toys, toiletries, clothes, stationary, etc. and everything is very reasonably priced! The employees are always very friendly and very helpful. Their business hours are great! Plus there is a store almost around every corner! I know I will always be a dollar general shopper! Love this store!But the last few times I've stopped at this particular store the shelves are practically empty and there's unloaded stock in the way everywhere so my shopping experience hasn't been great. But to be fair, it probably has a lot to do with the fact that nobody wants to work anymore and they're probably very short staffed. Like several other dollar general stores in the surrounding area.

An “out of order” restroom is about as common here, as a “broken” ice cream machine at McDonald’s. Give your patrons the opportunity to handle business while they spend money at your establishment.
