Was good our first time going but this time the food was very MEH definitely not hot amd definitely like a cheap breakfast house not care taken in preparing the food. Eggs dries out, sausage was cold, gravy cold, and buiscuts was doughy. Very sad especially being it was good the other 2 times

Nice atmosphere with plenty of seating. The food is mostly good but we didn't enjoy the salad and the kids hot dog was really dry and salty. But the burgers, sandwiches, sidewinder fries, and milkshakes were all delicious (edited for typos)

Dessert case.. out of this world. Burgers..great.. Fries.. great.. BLT is loaded down with Applewood bacon.
Shakes are my favorite!!!

Our favorite place to go to. It's only about 7 or 8 miles from our house and dog friendly. They have the best hamburgers.

My family and I reside in East Tennessee, and we came here after a day on the water and enjoyed the atmosphere, staff and the food! 2 of us had the Nachos and they were absolutely delicious! A few of us got burgers as well. And they were okay, a little dry. But the homemade fries awesome! We came with our Littles and they enjoyed the food just as much!
If you are visiting Townsend or the area. I highly recommend for a good bite and a casual and comfortable atmosphere! ?

Highly recommend Apple Valley Cafe! We visited twice, during our 4 day stay in Townsend. We visited for lunch and the in-house smoked pulled pork sandwich was amazing . Caroline the condiment cow was a huge hit for the kids (and myself). We ended our lunch with their homemade milkshakes, which were so good. We ended up going back another day for breakfast. My son, who is a very picky eater, said, “these are the best pancakes I have ever had!”. It’s definitely a favorite for us and we will definitely go back, while in Townsend. The General Store next door is very cute and the SMOC store is very nice, as well.
Side story: A very kind lady (and her husband) bought my daughter a Caroline squishy toy, after overhearing her talk about it. The woman gave my daughter a hug and said, “we are so happy to have you in TN!”. Such a great town, with genuinely kind people!
Kid-friendliness: Caroline- the condiment cow is a big hit with kids! They have a kid menu for lunch and breakfast. Prices are very reasonable!

We were hungry after driving through the Smokies and decided to grab lunch while in Townsend. We decided on this place and it didn't disappoint. The hot dog exceeded our expectations and the bbq sliders were also good. Prices were reasonable and employees were very friendly.
