Unprofessional. Uneducated. Low energy. Always in a rush. All about the money for these guys. If it wasn't for the high concentration of equines in the area, they'd be bankrupted.

I must say Dr. Matthew DeLisle is one of the most wonderful veterinarian I have ever seen. Dogs I know, not horses. I am a city girl that moved to TN and received 2 horses as a gift. I know nothing about horses so it has been a learning experience. Dr. Matthew has incredible patience and knowledge. I don't know the body parts but when Dr. Matthew explains something he is doing or what is or has happened he puts it in terms I can understand and shows me what he is referring to. He makes sure I am totally clear on what needs to be done as a follow up. He made me and my horse feel comfortable. He is so gentle and lets them take their time with what he is doing to them. He never forces or rushes their treatment. If you are looking for someone who actually cares about the animal he is treating or has treated, Dr. Matthew is your man. While he as here he even asked how my other horse was doing and the neighbors horse that he was called out on weeks prior. He just flat cares which is so rare these days. This man deserves a GOLD MEDAL.

Sunday evening our horse started to colic. We are new to the horse owning world. This is our first horse, we bought for my 14 yo daughter. She’s my daughters best friend and it was a scary experience. After seeing an emergency vet early Monday morning we were sent here. Dr. Christine and the whole staff were so good to not only our horse but us. When we arrived with her, they got her right in and started to examine her. They let us stay with her while they did the initial exam and explained things so we knew what was going on. They answered all questions we had in detail and we left there feeling better and knowing Reba (horse) was in the best care. They updated us a few times a day and even sent pictures which made our couple days without her so much easier. 10/10 recommend Dr Christine and the whole staff at Tennessee Equine.

On Friday, November 3rd, my horse, and I were both injured when he panicked while unloading from my trailer. He caused two large and deep wounds to himself and broke 3 of my ribs.I was a complete wreck when I called the hospital for help, but the person that answered was very calm and told me a doctor would call me right back. Dr Matt did call back quickly to get my details and then FaceTimed me to see my horses injuries. There was so much blood that I was very fearful for his life but Dr Matt assured me that his bleeding looked manageable and not life threatening. He gave me the confidence I needed to get my horse back in the trailer and drive us to the hospital. When we arrived, Dr Fairfield and Dr Alvaro assessed him immediately and told me he would survive and most likely recover fully. They were so kind to me and very concerned about my wellbeing as well as my horse. My horse spent 6 nights at the hospital for IV antibiotics and a drain for the wound. Every staff member was so kind to me and my horse was very well cared for. I’m so grateful to have the team at TN Equine help me with my horses.

Exceptional Service, Highly Recommended:We have known Dr. Monty and the team at TN Equine Hospital for many years, and their level of care is unparalleled. The hospital has gathered an exemplary team, including Dr. Marion, Dr. Christine, Dr. Alison, and Dr. Andrea, and so many others. Each of whom has shown a genuine commitment to the well-being of animals. During a difficult time for my family, these doctors went the extra mile to provide not only top-notch medical care but also emotional support, particularly to my child. Their passion for animals is matched only by their kindness towards their clients. This is a five-star facility that earns the highest recommendation, both for their professional expertise and their personal touch.

If you want the best vet care for your horse use Tennessee Equine Hospital. I have used them over 20 plus years. Tried the others and no one compares to the team of doctors at Tn Equine. They have all the diagnostics plus decades of experience. Very happy with the years of care that I have received. Nothing but the best for my girls!

Every experience I’ve ever had here has been worse than the last. Not one vet here has ever successfully treated any of my horses for anything, be it from lameness to colic to injury. Would never recommend to anyone. I absolutely believe they exist to bill insurance, and their pricing/suggestions are geared toward running up insanely high bills. And I don’t mind paying, I have many horses and have seen many vets all across the country over the years, but I’ve never experienced anything like TN Equine.

I have nothing but great things to say about Tennessee Equine, specifically Dr. Allison and her team. I drove a couple hours to bring my mare for what I thought was her hock arthritis advancing, and was wanting to have a chemical fusion done. My mare was in an extreme amount of pain and limping. Her lameness seemed to jump from different legs. Dr. Allison took the time unwrapping the problem, that I'm certain no one else would have. Spending all day with me and some of the following day; running tests, exams, imaging, etc. We found out that not only did her arthritis advance, but there was a rock lodged in so far up one of the other hooves, which was found on imaging. I was approached with my options between the two situations and not pressured into any of them. I'm fairly new to the industry and never felt talked down, but everything was broken down beautifully. After 5-star treatment and tons of tests, imaging, joint blocks, and even the fusion that I originally thought was the answer. I went to pay expecting several thousand dollars, and was pleasantly surprised... nearly guilty. I'm beyond appreciative and grateful for the amazing experience I had. I felt like the top priority and didn't feel that Dr. Allison was pulled from patient to patient. It would have been so easy to inject the hock and have me out the door. Or nickel and dime every little thing. I am so happy I entrusted Tennessee Equine! Thank you all so much!

I have been a client of Tennessee Equine for over 15 years. Their services and vets are top notch. I have personally had experience with Dr. Monty, Dr. Matt, Dr. Christine, and Dr. Nathaniel. All are wonderful. Personable, understanding, accommodating, and professional experts. This is a 4 star review instead of 5 because of a recent policy change. When I called with an old horse down and unable to get up I was asked if I was okay with the visit charge being double due to it being a same day call. I understand they had to ask this, but there's not much of a choice when you have a horse down. Of course I agreed to the upcharge. I asked when that policy had changed and was told it took effect in January.I was always impressed that Tennessee Equine did use emergencies as a opportunity to upcharge. I am extremely disappointed that changed. The policy makes good business sense, but it doesn't make good horse sense. I hope this does not signify a shift in culture from a local veterinary clinic that has served the community well for years, to a big business mindset.
