“Well, so long, Country Corner. In your place, they've paved a parking lot. There's a new place, farther up the road. There they've swept the traces of Country Corner clean away, and with them a piece of my heart. No longer is the lady with the missing tooth, eager to take my order. No longer is the farmers hunched over hot biscuits or spaghetti. The foods are fried at some unpeopled hour and left under lamps all day. Crisp has given way to chew, heat to tepidness, flavor to flub. There is an invisible sign here that wards away souls like a rotting skunk. They've taken the short-order cooks and replaced them with languidly-smiling, busy, multi-tasking, multi-purpose, efficient and modern-day cashiers. They've taken the dining-tables and replaced them with....well, asphalt I suppose. A big black expanse designed perhaps to let dump trucks cut through like star-destroyers. Not even a single, splintery, sun-bleached picnic table to speak of. I suppose we're to eat on the condiments bar? "Nope, it's just most people, well, they eat on the road now."”

“I used the car wash at this gas station tonight for the first time in quite a while because my car was really dirty from driving a lot. I was soooo pleased to realize that I have been wasting money at the car wash just up the road (not even sure of the name, but it's just past the CVS. I should also mention that I tried to get a car wash there last night and the machine took my payment but the wash never started. Man was I disappointed!!). But my car is super clean and it's all better now. I will continue to spend my $10 (maybe even $12) at this Mapco AND get a much better wash!!!THANKS ?”

“Stopped by this morning for my cup of coffee during the 7:30 rush. There was only one person behind the counter and she was running two registers. Not only was she jamming back there she was in the zone! I believe her name is Kelle and she even made small talk making me feel like I was the only one in the store. I give a hat tip to this young lady and when it’s time for employee evaluations, she deserves a raise! Also, this is by far the cleanest, well stocked and most friendly Twice Daily I’ve ever been to. I explained the situation & I told him I know it was long ago but I felt away because I always hear good thing and the food is good. “Port Royal Shell has been pretty consistent recently. The pumps and the area outside always seems like it gets attention, great job on that, nothing is worst than seeing overfill trash cans. Inside, you can tell Noone is a fan of cleaning the restrooms ( men's atleast). Store floors always look swept and mopped. And I saved the best part for last....great job on keeping the same crew. It's been very consistent and it's great to always see the same smiling face instead of a new one behind the counter every day! Keep up the great work at this location!!! ?”
