Would 110% recommend Clem's. We were visiting Sweetwater from Upstate NY and were 16 hours from home when our A/C died. I called Clem's . They got us right in and charged the A/C to get us home. They were so friendly and courteous and even gave me a ride to the store. When finished, Clem made sure I knew to have my compressor checked when we arrived home, but did not try to oversell or over charge me. So glad they came to our rescue!

Explained everything wrong with my Mustang to Clem's wife (Clem was too busy to come out & talk with me) she even went back there to consult with him about my car problem. She scheduled me an appointment to come back to have my vehicle diagnosed assuring me it could be done. I told them it's difficult to drive it too far because of possible brake failure concerns that the vehicle has and that it was involved for me to get the vehicle out of storage & only wanted to bring it, if they definitely could look at it.....fast forward to my appointment, I show up and was told by Clem & his worker, that "they need more time to diagnosis the car and to bring it back another day" (on Monday).
So I went though all the troubles & dangers of driving it & bringing it there for nothing, despite the fact that they all were well informed about my situation & what the diagnosis would involve. My appointment was for 2:30 & I felt they should honor my appointment & troubles to atleast take it in & start with some basic simple testing & troubleshooting, since they had 2 1/2 until they close. But they still insisted for me to come back another time.
Needless to say, I won't ever be coming back. They lost my business (which is foolish on their part because I have 4 other vehicles that could have been future work for them). It's fine, they are cocky & confident because for now they are staying busy with other customers...but over time that can change if they keep treating people the way that they do. I've been here for over 20 years & have watched auto repair shop after auto repair shop come & go and many close down....they will simply be another causality to this, just like the others that don't know how to properly run a business or provide a good customer experience.

Well after I spent quite a bit of money on other things, I took it over there and they figured it out so fast and fixed the problem! I'd highly recommend them! I'll definitely be going back! Very polite and professional.

Clem’s Automotive is just the best! Exceptional service, honesty, integrity, and expertise. I have taken four different vehicles of varying make and age, and he handled each one beautifully. His 35 years of automotive experience really does make a difference y’all. From the very first time I used them I was hooked. I feel safe there, and I am always treated with respect. They will be my mechanics for life!

I took my 2013 Kia Soul to Clem’s because of a 441 diagnostic code on my dash.
They said it would cost about $300 to do the rear underneath purge valve and they scheduled it for the next day 4/2/2024. He charged me $56 which would go towards the repair.
Something just didn’t feel right so I asked a nearby auto technician for his opinion. The first thing he asked me, “Did they check the gas cap?” So I called Clem and asked him if his mechanic had checked the gas cap—Clem said No they had not—the auto technician who found the problem said “A good auto mechenic would always check the gas cap first in that situation.”
The rubber seal around the gas cap was fine but the spring in the center was stuck; after a couple of pushes with a pen it unstuck.
The code was cleared and after a thorough diagnose all tests came back clear on his Innova 3170 rs diagnostic tool — I have a video of Lloyd doing the diagnostics.
Regardless of what response Clem comes up with, I stand by my account of what transpired. Also read Lisa Miller’s review. And if you have an issue with their service, be sure to deal with Clem…Only 2 low score reviews and the rest 5 stars makes you wonder what is going on…
Clem said he would return the $56 dollar fee—when I arrived back at Clem’s, his wife Karen Conte greeted me — I had never seen her around the shop prior — she was nice for a few seconds then tore into me saying “You’ve Been BlackListed” …I jokingly asked her “what do you have against black people?”…then she blew her top, and I backed away from her…also said I was only doing this because she’s a woman: once I had an opportunity to respond I felt she was trying to set me up, it became very uncomfortable to be there—she supposedly did issue a refund back on the card, will see if it comes through in a few days. Would not recommend Clems—I did not appreciate his wife’s temperment or tirade—I was in fear for my life and glad to be out of there.

Always does dependable work! They are very upfront about cost and such. Recently had car repair over 8 hours and they were great about keeping me updated and explaining/showing what goes into the repair process!

this place was the absolute best!!!!! we are from alabama and got into a little incident with an undercarriage cover and praise the absolute lord for the sweet man who told us about Clems!! they are the sweetest mom and pop shop we have ever met especially being from a small town. i truly can not say enough good things about this shop!! Clem was the best and Kacee was a hoot!!! so thankful for the AMAZING hospitality from these sweet people. thank you so much Clems!!!

Let me start off by saying we have used them numerous times in the past and have had great results. Not sure what happened this go round but I will definitely be finding another mechanic. Made an appointment for my Dodge Journey to be fixed, husband let them know that we thought it was the catalytic converter but was not 100% sure. Not once were we told that they could not hook the car up to their reader before hand to figure out exactly what is wrong with it. They went ahead and changed the catalytic converter out, called for payment then informed us that they were not able to hook it up to the reader and that the car would need to be taken to a dealership. Go to pick the car up and it’s not even drivable. Now I’m out $900 and have to have the car towed back home. Not to mention when I called to pay for the job that was done the lady who answered the phone was extremely rude and acted like it was such an inconvenience that she had to go up front to run the payment. Very frustrated and disappointed at this company and the way they chose to do business this time around.
