I booked a room here Feb 4 for Sept. the week I was supposed to check in I was not going to make it the first day so I called and told them I would be there the next day and they could charge me for the night I wasn’t going to stay. They took my reservation number and said that is good we have made a note and will see you Friday. I drive up and there on Friday to check in and there is no note in the computer and the manager basically says well you must have called the 1-888 in number and not talked to us so we have no rooms. Very frustrating. While I am standing there another couple goes to check into their room and it was never cleaned! Definitely some issues!

Very nice hotel on the lake. Excellent spacious rooms, with balcony. Love the gift shop just wish they sold fruit juices. Most of the staff I encountered at the front desk were amazing. Especially the the evening/night shift staff. Very quiet too, in most hotels I've stayed in you can hear people walking around and doors shutting, couldn't hear anything in the rooms, which was great. The bed however was an OLD spring bed that creaked every time you moved, which was highly annoying. Additionally they will NOT give you a refund for your remaining stay if you have to leave for an emergency! Such a horrible policy!
Noteworthy details: This hotel only cares about money. They will not give you refunds if you cannot stay the entire reservation even if it's an emergency.

⚠️Bed bugs. BEWARE! Housekeeping & staff knew & called it a “housekeeping” issue/problem & that they would need to put our group in a different room for the night but they still put our family in the room. Sad. Children were miserable & eaten up all over. Bunk beds. I guarantee you they’ll have more families in there asap & not take care of the problem properly. “Bed bugs can spread easily through walls, floors, and ceilings, so switching rooms isn't always safe. They can use pipes, wires, and wall voids to get to nearby rooms.” Check your bed. ❤️

Beautiful place to eat while sitting out on the deck overlooking the lake. We only ate. The Lodge is decorated nicely. We didn't stay overnight so can't rate the rooms.

We stayed Father’s Day weekend. The lodge is nice and seems to be kept up for the most part. We were disappointed we didn’t even have a microwave in the room. And the fridge wasn’t the best for holding more than a hand full of drinks. I thought it was odd our room ceiling was just plywood that was painted over. And our balcony definitely hadn’t been cleaned in sometime. As it was covered in spiderwebs and bugs. And the lodge restaurant is the only place to eat unless you want to travel 40 mins to the next town. For the price I definitely think it could’ve been better. I wouldn’t recommend for longer stays more than 2 days.

Busy. Holiday. Weekend.
Friendly, yet understaffed for multiple large parties.
Nearby activities: Lots of natural beauty to explore. The lake., hikes, cascade waterfalls, swimming @ the George hole & the tallest waterfall on the East Coast.
There's also an Olympic sized pool to swim at, for a small fee.
A nice nature center. Deer & woodland "critters" roam freely. A pleasant family atmosphere

When we checked in there was a clerical error and we ended up getting moved to three different rooms. It was an inconvenience, but the customer service was amazing and they were awesome! The lodge was fantastic! Everything about it was 5/5. The grounds, lobby, rooms, restaurant/bar, and employees were all top notch. Will definitely go back.
Rooms: Rooms were nice sized, clean, and modern.
Nearby activities: There were lots of outdoor activities nearby. Hiking, swimming, golf, fishing, and kayaking/paddleboating.
Safety: We felt very safe the entire time throughout the grounds.
Food and drinks: The restaurant/bar was fantastic.

Beautiful lodge and good food and drinks in the restaurant at this wonderful state park! Our room was big and very very clean. We golfed, hiked, and enjoyed the lodge pool.

Found this via the Isha Institute of Inner sciences by chance and we decided to stay here overnight after our trip to Isha. What a find....Beautiful , calm, serene and silent retreat, perfect for any activity. Kudos to the State Park officials, that they have taken great care to maintain this 40,000 + acres of pristine land , so intact. The Lodge itself is well equipped...spacious rooms and a not-so-bad restaurant . Ideal place for a family short vacay . Lot of hiking trails that you can explore on your feet or if you prefer, you could rather Canoe or Kayak in the calm waters of the FCF lake....Did i forget to mention the beautiful staff at the lodge. they are the ones who made our trip memorable.....so friendly and always willing to help. Thank you guys....will be there soon again !
