I had the opportunity to work with Cossio Hawk from the Smyrna offices and one of the products Ascend offers. From the very first time we step in, he was very eager to help answering our questions, educating us about the process and providing guidance when necessary. Over the course of the process Cossio, replied to all communications in a timely manner and proactively reached out when clarification was needed. Definitely worth doing business in this location. I had a wonderful experience obtaining a car loan with Ascend.The associate I worked with, Cossio Hawk, walked me through the entire process start to finish with minimal stress. I would definitely refer friends to work with him in the future.

Had money in a savings acc with them and they charged me a $3 maintenance fee per month and a $5 dormant acc fee per month… on a savings acc… “looks like they’re gone now, let’s steal their money!” By the time I found out and closed the account there was $15 left in it. Don’t bank with these thieves.

Ascend offers an online tool to allow you to connect to other financial institutions for keeping your financials in a central location. Upon trying to add a credit card, I was told that I need to limit my password characters in order to use this feature. Absolutely unacceptable. If you have a password of 16+ characters, You will be told you cannot use this part of the app. I have tried online, I have tried in the app. Even the online chat. The answer will be the same. You will need to go to the source of your institution, change your password, then just maybe, you will be able to use this feature with ascends collective banking.I could bank anywhere, but I choose to put my money here. However, it is instances like these, something that should make life simpler, that make me just want to stop using this company all together.Why am I being penalized for being "safe" with a longer character password of 12 to 20 characters, just to be told no, you need to be like everyone else and have an easy password to accommodate our banking services.I'm disappointed in this service feature and it's lack of accomodation. The character limit should be 20, not 15. Yes, 20 characters seems like a really long password, but not when other institutions force you to have a 12 character long password or more. Not very inclusive.

I went into the branch to dispute card fraud on my credit card I was directed to call a 800 number. When I called the 800 number I was sent threw 3 different departments before someone would finally help. This process took forever. The rep at the smyrna branch location was very helpful, but the dispute process is excessive and should not be transfered to a 3rd party company.

Ascend Federal Credit Union is the worst bank in my 30 years of banking. Been with many banks that have merged with another bank but this place is by far the worst.The bank digital platform is beyond ancient. It does not update over weekends and they will false charge you overdraft fees. I have had to contact the “10 min hold” customer service chat or phone number that is not open 24/7 and then have them credit me back hundreds of dollars in fees. I use my account to shop online and do not transfer too much as they pay dirt nothing for checking.If you do not contact them they will steal the fees that are fraud taken from you.Stay away from this 1980 bank. They also are crooks if you try to get a personal loan or HELOC. They send you mail and gimmicks all the time from 3rd party firms.This is not your home town credit union. You have been warned.

Ascend in general is so bad paying my monthly payment is so hard on the app when I got to the bank she sent me to the ATM to speak to a representative although I am sure she can do it from her side they make me wanna ??

Who uses banks at all?! Bitcoin is the way to be your own bank. Traditional banks are communist style ponzi schemes. They use your money in fractional lending and don't even hold enough money to pay everyone their money back. How dumb can you be?Reply to response: No this is NOT a scam attempt. I ask for nothing. My wealthy friend who is a local here said this business is the worst and not trustworthy at all. They are the scammers haha.

If I could give a zero I would. Have banked with Ascend since they opened a branch in Smyrna. For the last three months have done nothing but screw up my accounts. Go in and have been promised everything going forward will work. Since they became so automated they are impersonal and I miss being able to to talk face to face with a teller. Looking at responses it always seems to ask you to email. What happened to good old fashioned customer service. Nothing has changed. Still screwing up my accounts. Will be looking for another bank. Stay away from Ascend especially the one in Smyrna.

Ascend is horrible and reps are rude. 3 weeks ago someone hacked our account and the assest recovery dept has been no help and say we need to file a police report ourselves. $900 dollars of ours us just gone. I honestly believe if I was not a person of color I could get more assistance!

Can you please update your hours. It only takes just this one simple update to making your customers happy. Also update the number on the atm because they don't work either.
