Wow, my new "go to" dealership! Everything about this experience was great. From the first communication to the final handshake, I was treated with the utmost respect. There was no pressure in any way. Some of that may be because I knew what I wanted as far as a vehicle, and I also knew my budget, etc. I am very familiar with the vehicle purchasing process. However, I believe if I walked in having never purchased a vehicle before, the experience would be the same.Drew was attentive and worked with me as far as how I wanted to proceed, on my terms. Everything was upfront and fair. If I had a question, it was answered. Hayden in the Finance Dept. treated me with the same respect and I appreciated his reserved and professional demeanor. He worked with me to get a deal that I was comfortable with. He presented several options concerning my new purchase, but I was not pressured into anything. When you purchase a vehicle, from no matter who, keep in mind they are going to make money. They must make money, if they are going to continue in business! The question is not did they make money, but were they fair? At the end of the day, I felt I saved some money and of course they made some also. The point is, I feel they were fair.I would highly recommend making the drive to Newton if you are in need of a new or pre-owned vehicle. Through the years I have dealt with several dealerships in the area: some good, some, well, not so good. Newton is certainly at the top of my list now, and I look forward to working with both Drew, Hayden, and Newton for years to come. If you visit Newton, ask for Drew and tell them Jimmy Barrett recommended him!

They delivered me my Hyundai Kona which was extremely helpful for me. Very pretty car, and looks just as advertised. Sadly, they showed up without mentioning that it has only one key and no spare. My fault I guess for not asking but with this being my first new car, I didn’t think of it on top of all my other questions. Those aren’t big issues, but I’ve had the car a month and had to buy a new battery today. So it seems like they sold me a car with a bad battery. I’m just unhappy that I just had to buy a new battery for a $25,000 car that’s a 2021, which I also purchased an extended warranty for. Battery is considered wear and tear obviously.Overall, everyone I’ve talked to was really friendly and tried to be helpful. They also got me a pretty good interest rate. However, it was difficult to get straight answers and details when we were in the process of the deal. I received lots of indirect and vague answers and felt like the purchase was being pushed on me before having terms and all figured out.I would say this is good dealership, but they could improve on giving people full disclosure and answers, even if you don’t ask every question. They’re honest with their answers and details when given though.

Since switching from Walker I can say the transparency, professionalism and politeness of the service department at Newton has been great. Please keep it up!

My experience was top-of-the-line from the start. JT did a great job and was communicative from the start, but not overbearing. He made the transaction smooth. We are very pleased with our purchase!

Great staff! Our salesman, Dakota was super nice! Karlos was training with him and he was great as well. We ended up buying a Suburban. When we got home we realized there was a broken piece on the bottom of the vehicle. We called Dakota and they are going to replace it. I would recommend them and will be going back for future business!

Giving a two star only because the sales rep, Lee, was very professional. They were going to make an offer on my 2023 GMC Terrain Denali which I was the first owner and have only had it for one month, paid off, and only selling because we found out that it is too small for my family as well as my husband just buying a f450. They tried to make an offer of $11k under msrp. I kindly let them know, no thank you and thank you for your time. Mr Lee kept it professional however the manager decided to start arguing on how the moment i drove it off the lot it's a used car and not worth the value anymore i again said; I understand and i don't want to waste your time on negotiating on a price, thank you. I am going to try to sell it somewhere else and try to not lose so much on it and started walking away. He proceeded to argue with me saying he didn't know where i was getting my prices from but his computer was saying another price. I responded that i got them directly from the GMC manufacturer's website as well as knowing how much i myself paid for the vehicle he then responded, I don't know what website that is, but your GMC is used so not valued at new price??♀️ I guess he was mad because i wasn't in desperate need of selling to accept his beyond low offer. Manager needs to learn how to accept a No. I understand vehicles depreciate as soon as you drive off the lot and was willing to accept less than what i paid for it one month ago but no need to be disrespectful if the customer does not want to sell.

My only complaint is paying $145 for an air filter and a cabin air filter, not being told the price first then being completely ripped on the labor when they already did the labor to show me the bad filters. So question if I said no would I have been charged labor?? lessons learned. Won’t do that again

Edit: Update: My husband has spoken to the GM and they are going to take care of the issue. .Don't ever buy a car from here! They sold us a Truck and knew there were issues with it. Yes it was a used Truck but 2 weeks after we bought it the truck just turned off and check engine light came on. It needs a new transmission. Now after just a few months the air has stopped working. They refuse to do anything since the car was Sold as is. This is poor management and they should have never sold this vehicle to someone knowing it needed a transmission.

A year ago I bought a pre- owned 2020 Jeep gladiator. When I bought it finance manager told me to buy the extended warranty because jeeps are known to have issues with electricity. Last week my truck broke down in the middle of the road. I took it to a Jeep dealership since newton “said we don’t work on those kind of cars”. Jeep dealership contacts the warranty company and my two batteries and Z case fuse box isn’t covered under warranty. The finance manager never reviewed any of the covered or non covered warranty items. He was in a hurry to sell me the truck not make sure I am protected properly.

My salesman, Chad was very professional, personable and attentive. Chad took the time to show me all the available trim options and pricing before I made a decision on looking at one particular truck. Chad then walked me around the exterior, detailing all the points of the truck. Then he explained everything under the hood and went through all the interior options before the test drive. This made me feel very informed before even discussing pricing. Chad is a tremendous asset to Newton and I hope this is acknowledged by his superiors. The management staff was great and I never felt pressured to make a purchase. Michelle in finance was able to get me a fantastic rate which saved me thousands in interest. Newton Chevrolet obviously is customer oriented and not sales driven.

A stellar group of people. We saw the perfect Tahoe that we have been looking for online. We were over six hours away and ask them if they would hold it for us. They were happy to do so. We get there and we’re greeted at our car before we even got out. They had the vehicle washed and ready for us to roll before we even arrived. Once we got there, the entire process of purchase was less than an hour. They helped us to get through this quickly so that we could get back on our 6 hour trek home. This was one of the best experiences that we have ever had purchasing a new vehicle. They made us feel like we were very important.

Water pump went out on 2016 equinox. When I picked up the car from the repair the car had a loud horrible belt wine. Had to return to get this repaired. At purchase of car in 2020 we bought a 5 yr warranty. Was then told warranty was only good for 1 yr and 9 months after purchase. Dealership did fix at there cost however curently having discussion on refund of remainder of warranty that was not "valid".

I cannot say enough about the exceptional service I received today from Service Advisor Rebecca Hargrove at Newton! Not only did she come and pick up my vehicle for service…she brought it back to me because I had to work! What a lifesaver she was today! AND she did it with a smile! Just not heard of these days! I highly recommend Rebecca and Newton! I will go wherever she goes!
