Tennessee state bank is Genuine, Easy, and Awesome! I really enjoy banking with them!Their bank does everything really fast and reliably. If my card is spending suspiciously, I just receive a text asking if it's my doing, and as soon as I reply "Yes" my card is reactivated.I also truly admire the customer service at this bank. When I walk in, they know me by name and I don't have to scramble to find ID or remember numbers. I deal with actual people and it doesn't feel as if I'm talking to a bulletproof wall where they treat me as if I'm a potential threat. I really admire that!

Choose a different bank in the area. When setting up the account, I made sure to ask for the free checking with digital statements. Made it very clear. I then received paper statements and was charged a monthly fee.

Go literally anywhere else. They shut you card off randomly when you try to buy things, even if you call in and let them know you’re going on vacation they’ll shut your card off when you get there. Card services is literally the RUDEST people I’ve ever talked to. Every time I ever got a new card they were so rude and god forbid you use a different phone to call in then what they have on file or get a new number because they won’t let you set a pin you have to go into the building. The most inconvenient bank I’ve ever used.

This is BY FAR the worst bank I’ve ever banked with. Not only have I had to turn in two different debit cards on two separate occasions for mass recalls, due to compromised activity on the bank’s end, but my wife and I went on vacation for a week, and we asked that a note be placed on our account that there would be activity on this card in another state for certain dates. The woman I spoke with said she placed the note, and we would be authorized to use our card for the dates we set with them. We were able to make purchases at a number of stores, but then the card was shutoff and declined AGAIN the day after authorizing use in another state. We are without access to funds from any other cards at this point, and there is NO ONE that can help you with these issues after 5pm Monday-Friday, so we’re left without funds until then at 4:30 in the afternoon. I called the “Fraud” hotline to see if there was anything they could do on their end, and she told me that even after placing a travel notice, your card can be declined or shutoff at any time. Why??? WORST BANK I’VE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH...

Horrible customer service. Went to open a business account with them and they acted like it was a huge inconvenience. Said I needed a form I didn't have with me. Got the form, called them to see if I could fax or email it to them before making the trip a second time to make sure it was what I needed to bring and was tildin a rude manner no. I'll take my money and business elsewhere. Very disappointing.

This is the way financial institutions should be. Professional, friendly and helpful. Its not about interest rates and fees IMO, but a comfortable experience. Every visit is like this.
