They just let her die. They said my dog would be fine and we could go on vacation. Then denies our pet sitter to bring our dog for critical care with the exception of a steroid and pepcid or putting her down. The end result, a little dog suffers and dies after over a $1000+ of diagnostic tests, useless meds and much so much grief, loss and heartache. And while no one can predict an outcome, all they cared about was making their money without any heart, care or soul. If you want your pet groomed and get their shots at a steep price, go there. If you want your pet to live a healthy life, there are much better vets in the area.

First off!! If you are looking for a Vet that absolutely loves what they do and all of their patients you have found the right place. Dr. Marquis is the BEST!! Her compassion and love for all of her patients is profound.
Dr.Marquis is very professional, kind, empathetic and super knowledgeable. I highly recommend anyone in need of a vet to go to Boyd’s Creek Animal Hospital!! You will not be disappointed! All the staff here are fantastic and are here for you for all of your needs with your sweet furry companion! Do yourself a favor and make an appointment!

New puppy parents here just wanted to say Boyds creek animal hospital is amazing! The staff are so kind and sweet. They have went above and beyond to take care of our Sadie Belle. From working her in on a busy day when she was sick to phone calls just to check on her after vaccines they have supported us through it all. Dr. Marquis is absolutely the best she really loves and takes care of her patients. She has been a wealth of knowledge and takes the time to educate owners on animal care. Thank you so much for your passion and love for our fur baby!

It’s obvious that the new doctor at this establishment is only there for the money, solely based on their pricing, and lack of compassion when dealing with patients, clients, and staff.
The working conditions here are very poor, the staff is grossly under appreciated, and the turnover rate for support staff is high. Many of the support staff end up having partial to no breaks, and end up staying later into the evening (after closing) on a daily basis. This is due to poor time management of the managerial staff, being minimally staffed, and having lack of basic employment structure. It’s apparent that this establishment cares very little about retaining quality employees. The “medical director” and “office manager” have absolutely no experience in their positions, therefore the rest of the staff suffers greatly because of management’s inability to run a hospital.
I will not recommend this hospital to anyone, and I’d have to say that I agree with the most recent negative reviews.
Regardless of how low I’ve rated this “establishment”, the support staff is absolutely amazing. They are all very efficient, loving, and compassionate caregivers, who go above and beyond for each of their patients on an everyday basis.

My cat developed a mass in his nose and we went to see the doctor multiple times over the course of around 2 months. She was “unable” to figure out what was wrong with him and continued to schedule expensive visits to do x-rays & bloodwork despite those previously being done by another vet. After a few months I took my sweet boy to another vet. The vet from another practice was able to look at his and say that’s cancer… i had to put him down that day. The doctor is inexperienced, money-hungry and i have not been, and will not be, back with my other cat. Please do your animal a service and take them somewhere else.

I can't say enough about how wonderful Dr. Marquis and their staff are. I brought my cat Mo in after he had a very bad reaction to a shot by another clinic. From the time we walked in the door we were welcomed with so much attention and love. Dr. Marquis gave Mo the medications to counter act the shot that was given. She saved my cat's life.
Although the negative shot did some damage to Mo, he can now function better than he was. It's been a long and scary road but they her and her staff brought so much healing, love and compassion to me and our family. If I could give her and this office a ten or more I would!!!
Mo's recovery is a miracle and this is our new home.

I called to see about making an appt for my senior dog for a possible fracture or break of her left front leg. Before I was able to complete my first sentence in asking about an appointment, the receptionist very rudely interrupted & says in a hateful tone, "We don't have a vet available today", then click! She hangs up. This would have been our 1st time bringing our dog here. Things must have worked out how they were meant to be, because before writing this, and after reading these reviews, there is no way I would take any of my animals here. EVER.
To the hateful lady with lack of compassion & empathy; do better and be more professional. Your character says a LOT about you and this office you represent.

The newest doctor at this establishment is only concerned with money. Her lack of empathy, engagement, and compassion shows how very little she cares about her clients and patients. BCAH also has a high turnover rate and poor working conditions for support staff. The time management of the medical director and management leave most staff members without a lunch break, or adequate time to complete general day-to-day tasks. I will not recommend this clinic to anyone.

Up to about a year or so ago, I would have recommended this place to anyone who wanted care for their fur babies. Ever since Dr.Brandi passed away, they appear to be under new ownership. They have increased their prices DRASTICALLY. They now require a deposit to even hold an appointment. It just seems they went from a loving, caring, family establishment to a money hungry business. They lack humanity and are not personable. All they care about is money now!

We cannot recommend this place enough!!! They're spectacular in their customer service to the pet parents and extremely caring and gentle with the animals!! Ms.Sherry,Ms Laura and Ms Christy (up front) are always so nice,considerate,helpful,friendly and understanding. Dr.Marquis is extremely knowledgeable and always explains everything to us. She clearly knows what she's doing and we know our Bitzi (our female shih tzu) is in great,caring capable hands. All the vet techs in the back are wonderful too. Bitzi has been thru a lot but having her in their care has helped us feel so much better as dog parents!! You will not go wrong choosing them to care for your animals...They always make us feel comfortable and welcome Bitzi with open arms!!
