Don't waste your time. Soon as we walk in the woman said all they had were pastries and drip coffee.

Flew in to the UOS airport and walked the goat trail to this fantastic favorite local gathering spot. Inside and outside seating, March madness on the television but the real action was that the entire Rhodes lacrosse team pulled up in their bus and had lunch with us! We had the fish and chips and the blue chair salad and a nice conversation with the owner Jerry and his wife Sara. Highly recommend!

It was her first cortado and she did pretty well. I’ve had people claim to know how to make them do much worse. Extremely nice and personable. Rice Krispie treat hits the spot.

Not only is this a great place in Sewanee to eat but Mr. Jimmy help to set us up with a campus tour at the last minute for our daughter. We would definitely recommend this as a stop while in town.

Showed up for breakfast on New Year's Eve day. Wasn't impressed and thought everything was a little overpriced. They were out of some things but didn't tell us until we sat down and then never offered a replacement or a partial refund for the stuff they were out of. Maybe they were low on staff. Maybe they hadn't expected a run on the place while school was out. I would not go back but I'm giving them an extra star for all the "maybes" because of the holiday.

Quaint, cute restaurant on the main drag of Sawanee, with great food, a hand painted artistic interior, and a selection of bakery goods for dessert.Very homey, with a feeling of welcome not present in most eateries nowadays.

Nice local place, but waited a full hour for our wings and weren’t offered an explanation or apology for the slow service. Burger was dry and cooked poorly. Fries were good and the grilled chicken sandwich was good as well.

My first time experience was terrible. Walked in and asked if this was the bakery. He said yes, go next door and get what you want and come back here to pay for it. I got some muffins and went back to him and paid for it. Most of the bakery items looked bad, so I grabbed some muffins and a brownie. The muffins were so stale and crumbly.. I had to throw them out. The brownie wasn't any better. I'm pretty sure I won't be back.

Food was okay. Fries were good. Most food came out at 40 minutes. Wings took an hour. Four of us were finished eating before last plate came out.

I am a well traveled person and I’ve tried alot of burgers and fries over the years. They make the best burgers and sweet potato fries I’ve ever eaten. As a bonus, we received great service with a great atmosphere.

This is a quaint sweet spot in the area. Unfortunately there are no vegan lunch options except the same black bean burger you can find everywhere. The pastries and such are not vegan. They have Alt milk

The place may be uncomfortably small inside, but man, the food is delicious! We were in town sightseeing when we noticed it was lunch time. After a quick search on Google, this came up. Due to the great reviews, we decided to give it a shot. Thank goodness we did! Everything we ordered was beyond delicious!! The pretzel bites? Salty and crispy on the outside, yet soft and airy on the inside. Chicken tenders and chicken sandwich? Both cooked to perfection, and the breading was fantastic! The fries and homemade chips? The best i have had in such a long time! The food was so amazing we had to order some baked goods to go to know if it was just as wonderful. (They most definitely are).I really didn't know what to expect from the Blue Chair Cafe & Tavern, but you guys exceeded them. This food alone will have us stopping back whenever we visit Tennessee again!
