This group is awesome. I didnt find my fur baby yet, but these people's hearts are larger than the property they sit on. So many options and yet everyone is catered to with their choices. They really do go all out to help you find the right one. Please donate generously to them. With the volume that they handle, they need all the help they can get, all year long not just at Christmas!

My husband and I got a puppy from here over the long Thanksgiving weekend. After all the pain we have faced while trying to find a dog had made us almost give up, but thanks to Sevier county humane society we found the perfect pup for our home. We couldn't be happier ❤️

We adopted our sweet Willa from SCHS and she has been the perfect addition to our family. The staff takes very good care of their animals and gets truly excited to see everyone find a home. Thank you SCHS!!

I find it incredibly frustrating and frankly absurd that they denied me the opportunity to adopt a cat simply because my dog wasn't neutered. This policy lacks nuance and compassion, and ultimately hinders the goal of finding loving homes for animals in need. There should be room for discretion and understanding in situations like this. It's not fair to me and the cat I was going to adopt.

We just adopted our Divinity from here. The first night she was already up in the bed snuggling us. She is just amazing. The staff are all wonderful and clearly care about all the animals there. Divinity went to each person and said her goodbyes which to me proved how great they are!

There are simply no words that could form a sentence to come close to the experience I had at the Sevier County Humane Society. The staff knew the animals as if they were their own and it was clear the animals were very well taken care of under their supervision. Any question I had for the staff, they were able to answer completely, which means more than the world! I was at the shelter for close to a hour and a half, and never once did I feel rushed through the process. The staff made sure I was comfortable and confident in making a decision to adopt at their shelter!Never in a million years would I have thought that I would rescue a dog on my Bachelorette trip, but doing so was truly the highlight of the weekend. Here's to the best years ahead with our sweet Holly. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Sevier County Humane Society for taking such good care of Holly while the good Lord led her to me. She is already spoiled rotten and is adjusting to her new life so well!!

Such NICE PEOPLE working / volunteering there. They have an amazing operation and we couldn't be more pleased with the spay / neuter services they offer. Worth the long and circuitous drive to get there!

We got our kitten from the Sevier County humane society on 5/28/2023. The first thing I noticed was the smell….or I should say lack of smell! The cat/kitten area is so well kept, access to food and water of course, but clean fluffy blankets for them to snuggle everywhere! You can tell the people who take care of these animals really love what they do and respect how important this often thankless job is. The information they keep on the animals and provide to you is wonderful and our boy came microchipped at no additional fee to register him!We love you guys, thank you for helping us complete our family and everything you do for these animals everyday.?

I adopted an incredible cat here back in December and he is the best boy ever. So cuddly and happy and I know it’s because of how the staff here is incredible to their animals and they actually care. That was why when a stray kitten showed up at my door, and after my own cats not taking to the stray, I knew that it would be safe to bring this sweet baby to them and they would give him all the love and make sure someone loving would take him. I’m so thankful for this.

The people here are really a blessing to the animals and the community. We adopted 2 cats there, and the staff gave us all the time we needed to see the personality of the cats available for adoption. While we were there, they received a dog from a government agency that was going to kill the animal. They are saving lives there. This is a good organization to support.

We just adopted our pup Ranger Bob. The staff was AMAZING! The facility was amazing as well! The staff let us hang out with the pups we were interested in for however long we liked with no rush. They were informative, and very nice about everything! All the animals seemed super healthy! Amazing Shelter, Amazing staff!

I strongly recommend finding another place to adopt a dog. It’s fairly obvious this place only cares about profiting off of these animals with the pricing changing so sporadically. They denied my adoption application because they said they couldn’t verify that my landlord knew that we were getting a dog despite me and my partner showing them our dog registration forms that were hand delivered from our land lord the day before. Literally wasted 6 hours in total from driving there and waiting in line just to be denied. Would not bring any large vehicles for those of you who are still possibly considering this place, the parking lot is tiny and good luck turning around. The meet and greet part of the adoption is rather awkward with you getting in a fenced in section and having 1-2 employees just standing there. Overall you’ll find better shelters that it actually seems like the employees want the best for the dogs and not this first come first serve nonsense.

All of my dogs have come from shelters/humane societies. From the moment we arrived, I saw a real difference in this shelter. Those running the facility and those working there are so compassionate to the animals and those wishing to adopt. They were friendly and welcoming to those looking to adopt while making sure each animal is going to the right home. We were particular grateful that they spent a great deal of time making sure our current dogs were compatible with the puppy we wanted to adopt. That time spent watching the interactions of current pets with the new one is integral in making sure the adopted pet doesn't have to be surrendered back. The folks at the humane society really understand and know how evaluate this. Upon approval for adoption, we were given complete shot and health records - which is something I have rarely gotten from other shelters. Working with the Sevier County Humane Society has been a wonderful experience. Our new puppy Ellie (Ronal as they called her) is a wonderful addition to our family.
