I have been a fan of Publix for years until now. I don't know what is going on at this particular store, but it's so frustrating when most of the refrigerated items are long past the expiration date. I have not noticed a change in store cleanliness. Friendliness of store staff (including Pharmacy) is hit or miss.

I love the deli and prepared foods! They are convenient, fresh and healthy. The sandwiches are amazing. The wait here isn't as bad as the one on UT campus. When they have them, the heat and serve meals are a lifesaver. Seems the tourists have figured that out and clean the out regularly. Get here early if that's what you're shopping for. The bakery is also amazing. Regular mass produced items are cheaper at Walmart.

Lets start with I LOVE Publix! I always have so I'm a little biased, but this store fell a little short. The store is clean and has great displays, but don't ever think about getting a custom sub or even checking out with a cashier because there was only ONE human cashier! We waited 45 mins @2pm on a Sunday just to place our order. The 2 ladies making subs were slower than a snail going in reverse. It was horrible and the line was a mile long. There were plenty of employees standing around behind the customer service desk joking and having a good ole time while we watched the paint peel off the walls in line for a sub. Riciculous!! There was no need for that when there were multiple employees who could've jumped in and saved the sinking sub ship. I made sure to let the manager know on my way out what a horrible job he was doing. We will be using food city or Kroger from now on unfortunately.

The Publix Super Market at Smoky Mountain Gateway in Sevierville, TN, maintains the chain’s sterling reputation for cleanliness and quality. It shines as a beacon of order and friendly service, welcoming locals and travelers alike into its well-stocked aisles.Even with the unexpected closure of the deli—a heartbreaking moment for those who dream of the iconic Publix sub—the store retains its five-star appeal. The tidiness of the environment and the diligence of the staff in ensuring a positive shopping experience overshadow the temporary disappointment of a closed deli counter. This Publix stands as a testament to the brand’s commitment to excellence, proving that even when one aspect falls short, the collective effort and the overarching dedication to customer satisfaction can still leave a lasting, positive impression.

Clean and well organized! We stopped here to stock up on some sweet tea before heading back up north. Yes, it's delicious! I noticed that the store was clean and well organized but a few items did seem a bit pricey, but that could also just be the day we live in! For most items, similar pricing to other grocery stores but with the bonus of a pleasant shopping experience!

Employees are very nice and helpful. The foods are always fresh. The store is very clean, not messy and you can move your cart around without banging into displays. Great assortment of food and non-food items. Love the store!

Second time in a row I’ve ordered a sandwich a head of time and you’ve not had the ingredients for it. They had my phone number and could have called and notified. Instead I show up to pick up my food and it’s not ready. I’ve learned my lesson and will not order a sandwich again.Update:Deli manager called and informed me they have the ingredients today. Thanks, will not be back. Kroger has better prices anyways.

This Publix is clean and always what you'd expect. The only reason they don't get 5 stars here is because ANYTHING on this stretch of road is a nightmare when it's busy. (If you're local you'll know that that is almost always.)

First, I want to start by saying we have always loved Publix. Everyone is so friendly and nice. We have shopped there for years and are in the store multiple times a week. The staff has always been nice and cordial, we know most of the employees because we are in there so often. The issue is a few days ago we came in with our emotional support dog because her brother had just died and we didn't want her to be alone. She is a federally recognized support dog and she had her vest and official tag on. We understand that by TN state law you don't have to allow an ESA dog in, that it is under discretion of the management to allow them in. The problem we have is the day we came in, we passed many employees to include a manager and no one said anything to us. Then we come in two days later to see a large cutout stating that no pets allowed including Emotional support animals, we understand that is the wishes of the store and will not bring her back in however, we are in there probably 3 to 4 times a week and we see small dogs in the carts all of the time without any indication that they are service dogs.Sincerely,Long time Publix shopper

Nice deli, huge selection of gourmet cheeses and you can never go wrong with Publix Fried Chicken. Prices are high just like Publix anywhere but that's no reflection on this particular location. It is what it is. But the quality was good and the staff was friendly

Would give more stars if they weren't so over priced - we will shop here during their '2 for 1' sales but it just doesn't make sense to pay higher prices when you can get the same items for less elsewhere, unless you just have 'discretionary income' and don't care. For heavens sakes, it's summer and their ice creams are twice the price of what I can get the same but TWO cartons! Just foolish to pay that! and sad to say as it's a nicely laid out store.
