The difference between a gun store owner and an arrogant jackhole who is more interested in (attempting) to show his knowledge of guns versus listening to a customer is determined by whether or not a sale is made. Needless to say, our plan to purchase two handguns will gladly be deferred until we can shop local and actually get the respect, as the knowledgeable gun owners we deserve.

Nice place, helpful salespeople but not overly helpful if you don't need any assistance. In-store ammo prices (Lexington Ky location) are competitive. Great selection. Worth stopping in.

It's not cheap . You can rent firearms to shoot on their range . Have to buy their ammunition . They give you eye and ear protection .

Worst company to purchase from online. Bought a gun in Jan. And it's almost March but the gun hasn't even shipped. It was in stock. It's just problem after problem with them. And they offer zero customer service to fix anything. They don't even contact tou tell you there is a problem. I would avoid buds. Becaue when there is a problem it's a headache tou have to deal with for weeks. And it's going to cost you more money to fix it by yourself. They are USELESS.

The .556 Ammo on their website said $9.99. so I figured I'd ride to the store while on vacation. But in-store it's $12.99 due to shipping and other fees. Lame I'll stick to Academy or my local gun store.

Poor customer service. Shawn and his supervisor, they obviously don't care about retaining customers.

Bud’s is at the top of the list not just because of the climate controlled range but because you can actually put your hands on any long gun in inventory.

Hi Mr. Murphy, Owner of BudsI wanted to reach out to you as a loyal qualified professional patron of your amazing firearms store.I purchased a aftermarket barrel on 2/15/24. I got an email to call because it was apparently out of stock.I called and spoke to one of your wonderful customer service agents about my order. His name is Matt and he was super awesome, friendly and professional. He explained to me that my order was out of stock and wanted to touch base with me before he cancelled the order.I was a little confused because on the website it says it was in stock. He put me on hold for about 15 minutes and when he returned he told me that the product I had ordered for $145.99 had sold out overnight and the new shipment that they got was more expensive at $170.99. He said he had argued with his manager whose name is Shawn C. (sorry if misspelled name) to do what was right and honor the price I had purchased this at but would not do it. I had told Matt that I would be willing to pay the difference in price ($30) if they would cover the shipping costs. He was messaging the manager on his computer about my reasonable offer and the manager declined it. Matt apologized several times. I then asked to speak to Shawn C.Shawn C. represents your company horribly to be honest and blunt. He was absolutely zero help at all, at times spoke over me and would not work with me. Said I was paying the new price that was set and if I didn’t like it would cancel the order. When I said I would email your boss he said he would cancel my qualified professionals account. I told him to cancel it and my account and that I wouldn’t do business with Buds again all because of Mr. Shawn C. He then told me to have a good day and hung up on me.I don’t know if you actually record your calls or not but I called at 12:50ET today 2/16/24 and the call total was 30 mins. I sure hope you look into this before you have another unhappy customer. I am sorry to bother you with this but this just felt so egregious to me for a company I spoke very highly of and provides us qualified professionals with amazing prices. I just thought you should know. If it was my company. I would want to know.Thank you for your time Mr. Murphy.

I did a Gun FFL Transfer at Buds Sevierville Gun Shop today. They charged me $35.00 which I thought was too much to charge for a simple Gun Transfer. I have had Gun FFL Transfers before and the price has been $15.00 or $20.00 and never more. I have read lots of negative reviews about Buds Gun Shop and now I understand why there are so many negative reviews. When I was there today I noticed that they had very few customers. It is my guess that people are choosing to go to other Gun Shops instead of Buds! I will not be going back to Buds Gun Shop in Sevierville!

I was a little concerned based on reading many poor reviews about customer service but everyone I interacted with was nice and helpful. I went to try out a few hand guns on the range.
